I'm guna I'm 19 years my body some pimples are coming. Its spreading through over the body and it's very itchy. Its happening from 6 months .I'm consulting doctors and using medicines but no use .pls tell the medicine names to use. Its occurred on thighs ,urethra, fingers etc.

Long Term Health Consequences of PCOS

You are at greater risk of developing the following long-term health problems if you have PCOS:

1) Insulin resistance and diabetes

If your blood glucose does not stay normal, this can lead to diabetes. One or two in every ten women with PCOS go on to develop diabetes at some time. If you have PCOS, your risk of developing diabetes is increased further if you:

- Are over 40 years of age
- Have relatives with diabetes
- Developed diabetes during a pregnancy (known as gestational diabetes)
- Are obese (body mass index or BMI over 30).

2) High blood pressure

Women with PCOS tend to have high blood pressure, which may be related to insulin resistance and to being overweight, rather than the PCOS itself. High blood pressure can lead to heart problems and should be treated.

3) Heart disease in later life

Developing heart disease is linked to health conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure. If you have a high cholesterol level you may be advised to take medication (statins) to reduce the risk of heart problems.

4) Cancer

If you have less than three periods in a year), the endometrium (lining of the uterus) can thicken and this may lead to endometrial cancer in a small number of women.There are different ways to protect the lining of the womb using the hormone progesterone. You should visit your doctor if you are having lesser number of periods in a year. She will then prescribe a medicine to help you get the period. PCOS does not increase your chance of breast, cervical or ovarian cancer.

5) Depression and mood swings

The symptoms of PCOS may affect how you see yourself and how you think others see you. It can lower your self-esteem.

6) Snoring and daytime drowsiness

PCOS can lead to fatigue or sleepiness during the day. It is also associated with snoring.

I have a chest pain suddenly doctors said that symptoms related to heart attack but not sure of that is heart attack. They said its a type of cholesterol how to reduce the cholesterol for a healthy heart.

Heart attack is not diagnosed on basis of symptoms only. Get ecg and halter tests done and echo test to know %age of heart functions. Regarding high cholesterol levels, I will suggest simple and easy way to bring down. Take fresh lemon. Take a spoon of honey added to water and take it on empty stomach every morning. Besides reducing fats, it reduces blood sugar levels also. Reduce bad fats like street food, pizzas and burger, namkeem and other road side fried foods. Use less fats but a spoon of desi ghee or butter and a katori of assorted nuts everyday. Good fats in blood tend to reduce bad fats responsible for heart attack. Get back with reports and tell us about your symptoms, when you were diagnosed with heart attack.

hair fall is due to infection in scalp skin or hormonal effects also sometimes its genetic cause,if infective then easily goes into hairs follicles & its root and results in hair fall, For control on hair fall u have to control on infections ,Medicines takes time to remove infections due to less blood supply in scalp skin..but fully curable with proper medicines and care.

Take fuller, s earth (multani mitti) and sandalwood powder (chandan powder) mixed in same quantity mixed in water and apply on the mark in night and wash it after 1 hour. Best Exercises for Knee Pain Relief in Osteoarthritis

The quadriceps (or quads) describe the four muscles located on the front of the thigh. They contract together to help flex (or lift up) the hip and extend (or straighten) the knee. The quads often become weak after injury is sustained or surgery is performed on the lower leg or thigh. For this reason, it is important to learn how to strengthen this muscle group for a complete recovery.

People with certain conditions often exhibit quadriceps weakness. These conditions may include:

  • Patellofemoral stress syndrome
  • Iliotibial band friction syndrome
  • Patellar tendonitis or tendinosis

Typically, a specific area of your quad called the vastus medialis obliqus (VMO) may be weak or inhibited from contracting properly in these conditions. Your PT can show you how to perform these quad exercises with a special focus on the VMO for maximal effect.

Some quad strengthening exercises place significant stress on your knee joint. Your physical therapist can show you ways to minimize joint stress while still strengthening your quadriceps. Be sure to check in with your doctor before starting these - or any other - exercises.

Reveiw these exercises for quad strengthening and get started on the road to stronger thighs.

2 Straight Leg Raises

 Place a cuff weight around your ankle to add full resistance to your straight leg raising exercise.

The straight leg raising (SLR) exercise is a simple way to get your quad muscles working properly. Here is how the SLR is done.

  • Lie on your back on a flat surface.
  • Bend the knee of your uninvolved leg (the one that wasn't operated on) to a 90-degree angle, and keep your foot flat on the surface. Keep your involved leg straight without the knee bent.
  • Slowly lift the involved leg 12 inches off the floor (by contracting the front thigh muscles). Hold for five seconds.
  • Slowly lower your leg to the floor. Relax and repeat 10 to 15 times.

The knee of the raised leg should remain straight throughout this exercise. Focus on lifting by using the muscles on the front of your hip joint. This exercise can be made more challenging by placing a 2 or 3 pound cuff weight on your ankle before you lift.

3 Short Arc Quads

The short arc quad (SAQ) exercise is a great way to really focus in on properly contracting your quadriceps muscles. Here is how you do it:

  • Lie on your back and use a small coffee can (or paper towel roll) to prop your knee up.
  • Slowly straighten your bent knee until it is all the way straight.
  • Tighten your quad muscle and hold it tight for 5 seconds.
  • Slowly lower your leg down.
  • Repeat for 15 repetitions.

4 Wall Slides

  • Stand upright with your back against a wall and feet shoulder-width apart.
  • Slowly bend your knees, sliding your back down the wall for a count of five until your knees are bent at a 45-degree angle. (Do not bend too much further than this, as it will cause increased strain on your knees.) Hold this position for 5 seconds.
  • Straightening your knees by slowly sliding up the wall until you are fully upright with knees straight.
  • Repeat the above steps 10 more times.

5 Terminal Knee Extension

Terminal knee extension (TKE) is a simple, yet effective, way to strengthen your quads in a standing position. The TKE is considered a functional exercise, as you quads will be working while supporting your body weight.

To perform the terminal knee extension exercise, you must first obtain a resistance band, like a Theraband, from your physical therapist. Once you have a band, you should be ready to start the exercise. Here's how you do it:

  • Tie your resistance band around a stable object so it is anchored around the height of your knee. (The leg of a table is a good place.)
  • Step into the loop with the leg you wish to exercise.
  • Face the anchor point with the resistance band looped around your knee and your knee slightly bent.
  • Slowly straighten your knee, placing tension on the band. The resistance band should provide some resistance as your try to fully straighten your knee.
  • Once your knee is straight and the band has tension on it, hold the position for 3 seconds.
  • Slowly allow your knee to bend slightly once again.
  • Repeat the exercise for 15 repetitions.

Being just 20 I am facing back pain some times can you suggest me the way to over come it.

Hello. Maintain a right standing and sitting posture, keep your back always straight, avoid carrying weight on back. Hold or carry weight divided equally in both the hands or shoulders (to avoid over straining on one particular hand or shoulder). (Excessive sitting or standing is to be avoided as well don’t carry much weight on shoulders). Exercise: Practice Shavasana or Corpse Pose as it looks like a dead body. If practiced correctly and with full efforts, can relax every body part, relaxing not only the body but also the mind: Spread the legs one to two feet apart, the toes are turned outwards, the heels facing each other, a comfortable distance apart. Bring the arms a little away from the body, palms turned upward. Relax the neck and allow it to turn to the side if it is more comfortable. Close the eyes and focus the attention on the body, breathing normally. Begin focusing each body part and relaxing it, then moving on. Keep the mind focused on relaxation, the breath should be normal. Relax the whole body. Management: -Stretching or activities that place additional strain on the back are discouraged. -Sleeping with a pillow between the knees while lying on one side may increase comfort. -Lying on your back with a pillow under your knees would also relieves pain and no pillow under your head. -Some people seem to benefit from the use of ice or heat. Take care, do not use a heating pad on ‘high’ or place ice directly on the skin. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply Schwabe's Topi-Arnica and Topi MP Gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. Get back to me thereafter.

U have a combination skin which means you have both dry and oily skin. You can control this situation. Wash face with soap free mod cleanser. Do not overdo it. Washing twice a day is enough. Apply a light moisturiser all over face twice daily. You need to eat a diet that is high in fibre. Include a raw salad in every meal. Have watermelon and sweet lime juice. Use whole grain breads, wheat bran etc. Have seasonal fruits thrice daily. Have papaya and pears four times a week. Drink plenty of water. Have a teaspoon of ground flaxseeds. Do not pump your face with cosmetics. Do not scrub your face. Have plenty of fish.Dark circles are mostly due to habits. Avoid rubbing eyes. Get allergies tested. If you have refractive errors, get it checked and corrected. Avoid eye cosmetics and chemicals. Shampoos that seep down to eyeswhile bathing can contribute to this, so don't let it accumulate. Food should b supplemented with iron capsules. Have green leafy vegetables and jaggery in plenty. Overtime with computers, laptops, television, can increase the chances of darkness around eyes. Get your hb checked. Catch a good six hour sleep everyday. Relax and destress with yoga, meditation, prayer. Dark circles don't have a one-stop solution or home remedy. Sunken eyes won't respond to creams or medicines.

Hi I can understand your problem. # relax & stay positive. # take hot and cold fomentation. # learn posture care exercise. # use lumbar support. # take break every 20 minutes. # do strengthening exercise of back and core muscles not all back pains are same.
