What kind of treatments are there for greying of premature hair? How long is the treatment and what is the cost?

MBBS, MD - Dermatology , Venereology & Leprosy

What kind of treatments are there for greying of premature hair? How long is the treatment and what is the cost?
Greying of hair is a normal aging process which starts around 30 as the melanocytes activity of the body slows down and gradually the melanin production in hair stops. If it is happening before this age, it is called premature greying. This can be genetic and also due to deficiency of essential vitamins and minerals. The hairs which have already turned white cannot be turned back to black. But you can delay the process of greying of hair by some lifestyle modifications. Take adequate sleep and drink lots of water, eat lots of fruits and green leafy vegetables. Few multivitamin tablets can also be prescribed for the same. There is also one lotion which is supposed to work. You can call me or contact me using online consult option with photos for detailed prescription.

My hair turns in white slowly slowly please give the tips to improve them quickly thanks.
Hello. We can't change the gray hair turn black, but of course, prevent further greying! The causes of premature graying of hair are several. Here we have listed out a few common causes. Heredity is a major reason for hair greying Excessive use of tobacco and smoking Chronic emotional stress or psychological worries Lack of nutrients such as vitamins, iron, copper and iodine in the diet Medical conditions such as anemia, hypothyroidism, tuberous sclerosis or neurofibromatosis Home Remedies: 1. Add the curry leaves to the oil and boil it for 6 to 8 minutes, or till the leaves turn black. Remove from flame and let it cool. Strain the oil in a container and massage your scalp and hair with this oil 3 to 4 times per week before going to bed. Wash off with a mild herbal shampoo in the morning. 2. Turn the fenugreek seeds to a smooth powder and keep aside. Heat the oil and add the amla pieces to it, let it boil for 5 to 6 minutes, add the fenugreek powder to the oil, let it boil for another minute and remove from flame. Let it cool and strain the oil, apply on scalp and hair before going to bed. Wash off with a mild herbal shampoo in the morning. 3. Mix onion and lemon juice in a glass bowl and apply on scalp and hair evenly. Leave it on for 30 minutes and wash off with a mild herbal shampoo. Repeat it 4 to 5 times a week for 2 weeks. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicine – Schwabe's Acid Phos. 200/ once daily and Weisbaden 200/ twice daily – all of them for 1 month. And a multivitamin - A to Z/ 1 cap. daily once for 1 month (as deficiency of zinc, copper and selenium can also cause premature greying). Use Schwabe's Arnica Shampoo and Hair Growth Oil. Revert.

Freckles can be effectively treated with good home-care with topical skin lightening agents combined with a series of in-office treatments like chemical peels. Certain lasers have also proved useful in treating freckles. However, effective uv protection is the key in their management. Consultation with a dermatologist is the best way to have a treatment plan formulated and tailored to your specific skin pigmentation problems.

Acne or pimples is a common skin condition frequently seen in young individuals during teenage and youth years. This occurs mainly due to the action of hormones on the oil glands in the skin. The draining ducts of the oil glands get blocked and hence they are not able to drain the oil secretion. The oil and cells inside the blocked gland form a perfect environment for the growth of Propionibacterium acnes (the organism responsible for acne). Thus, it results in the formation of pimples or acne. Acne usually occurs on the face, chest, back, shoulders and neck. It is one of the most common skin conditions. Although acne is not a serious threat to the health, yet it can lead to scarring and disfigurement of the face that can have a significant impact on the patient. Acne is a dynamic conditions triggered by multiple factors such as hormones, food, climate, irregular lifestyle and stress. The homeopathic medicines for acne or pimples are chosen on the basis of the underlying causes and factors which lead to or increases acne. There are about 20 most common medicines to choose from, for acne. You can easily take an online consultation for further treatment guidance and permanent cure without any side effects

Hi 1. Most important thing is take lots of rest as a routine part of your life. Sleep for atleast 8 hours 2. Limit your screen life. Take breaks while working on computer and wash eyes frequently with cold water. 3. Wash your face twice with a good cleanser like tea tree face wash and use soothing toner like rose water or tea tree after that. 4. Use Kojic Acid based cream below eyes for atleast 4 months

Hi. Share the following with your friend: It's normal to lose up to 100 hair per day, and in most people, those hairs grow back. But many men -- and some women -- lose hair as they grow older. You can also lose your hair if you have certain diseases, such as thyroid problems, diabetes, or lupus. If you take certain medicines or have chemotherapy for cancer, you may also lose your hair. Other causes are stress, a low protein diet, a family history, use of bore water, or nutritional deficiencies. Need to rule out any causative factor or underlying medical condition. Management: Take diet rich in protein like non-veg, eggs (it's loaded with essential nutrients such as proteins, vitamin b12, iron, zinc and omega 6 fatty acids in large amounts and biotin), different pulses & legumes, sprouts, nuts (sp. Walnuts and almonds); iron-rich food like green vegetables, dates, carrots, prunes, green peas; also oats, shrimp, take flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, green tea, soyabean, fruits, salads, etc. Take low-fat dairy products (they also contain whey and casein, two high-quality protein sources) take proper 6-9hrs of sound sleep. Give up the habit of smoking and excessive alcohol intake. Avoid junk food and any kind of beverages (tea, coffee, aerated drinks, cold drinks, etc.) avoid canned/ tinned food or food that contains preservatives (eat fresh ones). Avoid use of hard water to wash the head rather use boiled water for head wash. Avoid use of harsh hair colour, hair treatment like rebonding, straightening, perming, etc. Avoid vigorous exercises or any supplements provided by the gym! cover your head with scarf or cap while stepping outside. Use rose wood/ any wooden hair comb to brush your hair. Regularly massage head and hair with coconut oil, almond oil (depending upon your scalp type) 1 to 3 times a week. Regular exercising is also one of the important point, but should be done under some good, qualified yoga teacher or instructor for proper guidance; it also releases the stress/ tension in the mind and the body and keeps you fit and young! Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Schwabe's Badiaga 200, Wiesbaden 200 & Alfalfa tonic twice a day for 1 month and revert. Use Schwabe's Anti-Dandruff shampoo and Anti-Dandruff oil regularly as per the condition of your scalp (minimum 3 times a week). After shampooing, use Bakson's Arnica hair conditioner as well after every head wash.

Dear lybrate user, pimples/ acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory skin disease which develops due to blocking of the hair follicles in skin. These blockages occur due to 4 abnormal processes: 1) excess sebum production due to androgens 2) excessive deposition of the protein keratin leading to comedone formation 3) infection of propionibacterium acnes (p. Acnes) bacteria on the hair follicles 4) local release of pro-inflammatory chemicals in the skin. Neither can you stop the over-production of androgen or keratin protein nor can you stop the release of pro-inflammatory chemicals because all these processes takes place internally in your skin. However you can stop the accumulation of p. Acnes bacteria on your skin by preventing your skin from getting oily. Always keep a handkercheif with you whenever you go outside. You should wipe off the slightest amount of sweat from your face as soon as you perspire on entering your room from outside wash your face with an oil-free, non-moisturizing facewash. Take a low carbohydrate diet. Do some exercise daily. Drink a lots of water to avoid constipation. Avoid pricking the pimples or popping the sebum as it may lead to black pigmentation & permanent scar formation. You can also take homoeopathic calcarea phos 200, 5 drops, thrice daily, in empty stomach also you can apply homoeopathic mother tincture berberis aquifoium q on the dark spots on your skin which are produced after the resolution of the pimples.

Why the lips are turned into black colour what is the problem plz give the suggestion?
Hello, As you also know no one can change the lip colour we are born with, only by home-remedies we can only change the tone or lighten the shade. So, follow the below points: - Mix 1 tbsp of rose petal paste and 1 tsp of butter, milk cream or honey and srub it very gently. Do this 2 times a week. - Take a thin slice of lemon, sprinkle a bit of sugar and rub it on your lips very gently. Do this daily for few days. - Soak a few rose petals in raw milk for one hour, and then grind the mixture to make a paste. Add one-half teaspoon of honey and a pinch of saffron to it. Apply the paste on your lips and leave it on for about 15 minutes. Do this two times a day. Management: Avoid anger/ anxiety. Keep hydrated, have 12-15 glasses of water. Always use good quality of either lipstick or lip balm with Vit. A, E and sunscreen 20-30 minutes before going out in sun. Eat healthy, nutritious food. Avoid junk food. Take 6-9hrs of sound sleep. Give up the habit of toughing, licking/ picking the lips. Don't smoke, eat gutka, etc.

How to make face charming and looking good?
I have high interest to look good with beautiful face.
I advise you to start a multivitamin pill and a vitamin C supplement. These work as a support system when you are under high levels of stress. Also include a daily capsule of primrose oil for glowing skin and a CoQ10 supplement to boost energy levels.
