Steaming is just a form of relaxation. It may have some temporary effect on skin. But it has NO effect on fat/weight.

To gain some weight, you need to eat healthy and natural food + daily exercise..>> Take at least two fruits per day and one glass fruit juice..>> Eat 20 almonds & 5 dates daily. Drink full cream milk, curd, lassi, banana shakes etc..>> If your are Non veg you can have more eggs, chicken, fish. For Veg - have more dals, rajma, kabuli chana, soya beans etc..>> Avoid junk food and colas. Avoid chips and other namkeen..>> No need for any extra supplements. Natural diet is best. Diabetes can be controlled/managed by a proper regulated diet and exercise..>> Avoid 3 big meals. Instead take small mini meals every 2/3 hours. Take green vegetables/salad with every minimeal..>> Eat whole grain food/grains like ragi, wheat, jowar, barley, instead of refined grains like maida/ sooji/ white bread, white rice etc.>> Avoid all forms of simple sugars like Colas, juices, sweets, cakes, biscuits, pizzas, noodles etc..>> Eat fruits with low/medium GI index like apple, guava, mosambi, orange..>> Do at least 30-45 mins of exercise everyday. Walk for 10 mins after every meal..>> Daily take two spoons of Amla powder, flaxseeds powder, and half teaspoon of cinnamon powder. Either you can take these in milk or water.

Only change in food habits for entire family can help her. Herbal treatments are only short term solutions. After a few months people gain their weight back and all the money and effort spent on these herbal treatment goes waste. Please consult a dietician who does not work with supplements. Encourage your daughter instead of criticising her. She needs you unconditional support and help. Be with her in her diet and her walks / exercise. Try 'Mindful Eating' Techniques. Bariatric Surgery is only done for people who are extremely fat that is BMI over 40. That too is an avoidable venture because it is playing around with nature. Such radical measures should be avoided. You can bring down your weight through better nutrition and some exercise.

You are on the Borderline although on plus side. If you take proper precautions, diet, your sugar levels can come down. 1. Hypothyroidism is taken care by your Thyroid tablets, hence that part is neutral for you. 2. Your weight is caused by excess calories and lack of exercise. 3. You can monitor your weight loss by 'Myfitensspal' app. 4. Taking protiens of no use. You will just waste money and time over it. 5. Take about 1300 calories diet with natural foods only. 6. To increase proteins increase dals and beans. 7. Visit and dietician and get a proper nutrition and exercise plans.

1. Your Body Mass Index (BMI) is 20.7, which means you are in 'Normal' category. 2. You are not underweight. 3. To build muscles you need to do regular freehand exercises and light weights. 4. You can buy a few dumbells and do exercises at home/park. 5. Aim to be fit, Do not compare with others.

You do not need to take medicines now. You can reduce salt content in your diet. Reduce chips, pickles, sauces. Do daily walks and exercise for 60 minutes. Do pranayam and daily breathing exercises for 10-15 mins. Eat less oil and sugar in your food.

Your BMI is 29.68, that is on the borderline of Overweight and Obesity. You may be eating excess food, oily food with lot of sugars etc. Please do not eat for 'Two People' Please eat a limited nutritious diet. Do not take excessive oil, sugars, juices etc. Please visit a dietician and get a diet plan made for yourself. Also its better you get a complete body check done to rule out things like sugar, cholesterol etc. Stay fit and stay healthy or else you will put on too much of weight without any reason. That will become very difficult to reduce later on.

Myself is 59 years old. I have BP 125/85, sugar level 110/140, VLDL is 55 and Triglycerides 275 and total cholesterol 209. My height is 5.6" and weight is 73 KGS. please give me perfect diet chart to reduce weight and to lower VLDL and Triglycerides I do not take direct sugar, cold drinks, cakes sweets fruits like mango banana causes since last 6/1.5. I take 1/2 pill of Glaxomat 500XR once in morning. please advice the diet.

You can try this daily - two teaspoons of powder flaxseeds, one teaspoon of amla powder and half teaspoon of cinnamon powder. In addition take more oats. This will help reduce cholesterol levels.
