Greetings ma'am, foamy urine is seen in proteinuria; a condition in which the kidneys may be responsible for the loss of protein. However there are varieties of conditions in which one may have proteinuria. Advice - get a complete urine examination done with special emphasis on proteinuria. A qualitative analysis of the urine specimen is more reliable. However for all practical purposes I would recommend good hydration and also to refrain from intense physical exercise for a week and see the changes (which could be the reason). If the foaming persists please go ahead and get the tests done. Also bodybuilders are prone to over supplementation of supplemental proteins (protein powders) which may also lead to proteinuria sometimes. Thanks.

I am urinating almost 10-12 times a day. I google it to see if this is normal for a human being or not. It said a normal human being urinates around 7 times a day. So what is the problem with it? Can you help with that? It's not a major issue.

Hi lybrate-user, from the information I have got from your question it's hard to guess what the real reason could be, the information regarding frequency of urination is right to an extent, however if you are urinating about 12 times/day and if you have associated fever too then it could mean you may be having a urinary tract infection. My advice to you is to investigate the problem. Step 1 - get a cue (complete urine exam) 2- get fbs, ppbs (blood sugars) bun, and sr. Creatinine (renal function tests) and consult a physician of your choice. I hope this helped. Thanks.

Greetings Mr. Lybrate-user from what you have asked the only information I get is that you are having fever, my advice to you is to get rid of the fever first with an appropriate anti pyretic. As for your diet I would require a little more information about your life style. For now have lots of liquids. Hydration is the key!

Greeting lybrate-user, first of let me reassure that this is a totally treatable and also a very common problem among pregnant women. Now that you asked about safety, I would assume you are not a known hypertensive or a diabetic or an asthmatic. Answer to the problem is 1- you may reduce the symptoms by altering your lifestyle and food habits a): drink less water during eating b) many small meals and not one or two heavy meals c) not to lie down immediately after a meal, d) left lateral position while lying down. 2- if you have already done that and still have no relief then you could consider a few medications such as simethicone (acixx 5 ml) or gelusil chewable tablets which are safe during pregnancy. Please consult your primary care physician for more details. Thanks.

Greetings lybrate-user, there could be multiple reasons as to why the recurrence is happening. A) low immunity secondary to anemia b) infection- either bacterial viral or infectious mononucleosis (all of which present with a more or less similar set of symptoms that you are suffering with. Advice - avoid street food, use sanitizer as much as possible and don't take chances with water. Second if you are already careful about the stuff I mentioned above then you may have to go ahead and investigate the problem. Step 1 - get a throat swab done for culture and sensitivity 2- test for infectious mononucleosis 3 cbp (complete blood test) based on reports you may have to start antibiotics or you may also have to undergo tonsillectomy. If you have more than 6 attacks of sore throat and enlarged tonsils or if you had 3 attacks per year for the past 3 years then you must undergo tonsillectomy. Hope this helps. Thanks.
