You can take Protein powder but it will not solve the problem of your muscle pain. If you are diabetic then you should take specific supplements to get rid of pain containing mecobalamin, Pyridoxine, thiamine and essential fatty acids rather then taking protein powder. You can contact me for further information.

Fenugreek or karela juice can not assure you a cure for diabetes, but just a little bit benefit only that too for some people and not for all. As the Diabetes is a metabolic disorder affecting multisystem, kindly get treated with Medicines instead of those Home remedies. You sholdnt endanger your life with those. Homoepathy can cure type 2 Diabtes mellitus completely in a period of six months to one year. Consult a homoepath soon.

Both these are said to help diabetic patients however it is best to take medicines alongside. Because there is no conclusive proof as to how much these remedies can reduce your sugar levels. If you find your sugar levels dropping, you can reduce medicines.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. If diabetes is not well controlled then erectile dysfunction is quite likely to occur. So most important is to have a very strict blood glucose control with fasting <100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c%<6.8. Plus you may consider using drugs like PDE Inhibitors just before (1 hour before) the act. This might help in better erection. Thanks.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Following are the criteria for diagnosing diabetes: 1) Normal: FBG: 70 to 110 mg, PP<140 mg & HbA1c%<5.9. 2) Pre-Diabetes: FBG: 108 to 125 mg, PP 141 to 199 mg & HbA1c%5.9 to 6.4. 3) Diabetes: FBG 126 mg and above, PP: 200 mg and above & HbA1c% 6.5 and above. Please look at your PP blood glucose also. If a peson is in pre-diabetes state there is no need for any medication. Strict diet control and exercise will help in postponing or preventing diabetes. Thanks.

Hello Sir, I just read your query. As he has been suffering with frequent motions and cereals are not digesting, then give him foods which are easy to digest and will help him in getting rid of loose stool too. *First of all add curd to his diet as it is a rich source of probiotics. Probiotics are intestinal friendly bacteria which help to maintain normal environment of intestine and also helps in maintaining intestinal motility, as a result will control his motions. * Give him apples, bananas, pomegranate, khichdi, yellow moong dal and more of semi solid diet for some time as all these things help in binding stool and are easily digestible too. * Give him boiled water only. * I hope you find my answer helpful. For more queries you can consult me. Thank you.

Diabetes, often referred to by doctors as diabetes mellitus, describes a group of metabolic diseases in which the person has high blood glucose (blood sugar), either because insulin production is inadequate, or because the body's cells do not respond properly to insulin, or both. It is a difficult task to control blood sugar in the desired normal range. Whatever we eat is metabolised to sugar in the body to provide energy for our daily activities. For the absolute control, one has to monitor his / her blood sugar at regular intervals (Self-Monitoring of Blood glucose – SMBG). Though difficult, this can be done by a glucometer and keep a record. Get an idea of Fasting sugar (FBS) and 2 hours after food (PPBS), & HbA1C (inform me) and check before dinner and after every major food. The basic idea is to reduce the food intake to 1/3 of what you take now. The dictum of sugar control is diet, exercise, diet + medicine and at later stage medicine+ Insulin will be needed. There are different diet plans of varying calories for each person depending on his activity & life style. For diabetes, hypertension (high BP) and many long-term illness control there is the need for regular advice and follow up. Just one time consultation or advice is not enough to guide a diabetic in scientifically & medically correct manner. For giving you regular follow up you ask me with all details like your daily eating pattern and medicines you take. I assure you a proper guidance. If you keep in touch personally. Its quite surprising that with a report of 97/193 some one has prescribed Diabetic medicines for you. Kindly repeat all your tests again from a different lab. Take your reports to a different doctor. Diabetes medicines should not be taken in this manner. They can create problems in case your body doesn't need them. Better to be sure.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for your query. I have gone through all the details given including lab values. All the values seem to be well within normal limits, except SGOT & SGPT. Both are slightly high, signifying some affection of liver functions. It points to one thing clearly that is to reduce alcohol intake. It should be preferably one or two days in a week plus much lesser in quantity. Thanks.
