You may be able to avoid back pain or prevent its recurrence by improving your physical condition and learning and practicing proper body mechanics.

To keep your back healthy and strong:

Exercise. Regular low-impact aerobic activities — those that don't strain or jolt your back — can increase strength and endurance in your back and allow your muscles to function better. Walking and swimming are good choices. Talk with your doctor about which activities are best for you.
Build muscle strength and flexibility. Abdominal and back muscle exercises (core-strengthening exercises) help condition these muscles so that they work together like a natural corset for your back. Flexibility in your hips and upper legs aligns your pelvic bones to improve how your back feels. Your doctor or physical therapist can tell which exercises are right for you.
Maintain a healthy weight. Being overweight strains back muscles. If you're overweight, trimming down can prevent back pain.
Use proper body mechanics:

Stand smart. Maintain a neutral pelvic position. If you must stand for long periods, place one foot on a low footstool to take some of the load off your lower back. Alternate feet. Good posture can reduce the stress on back muscles.
Sit smart. Choose a seat with good lower back support, armrests and a swivel base. Consider placing a pillow or rolled towel in the small of your back to maintain its normal curve. Keep your knees and hips level. Change your position frequently, at least every half-hour.
Lift smart. Avoid heavy lifting, if possible, but if you must lift something heavy, let your legs do the work. Keep your back straight — no twisting — and bend only at the knees. Hold the load close to your body. Find a lifting partner if the object is heavy or awkward.

BEWARE

Back pain is so common, and there are numerous products promise to prevent or relieve your back pain. But, there's no definitive evidence that special shoes, shoe inserts, back supports, specially designed furniture or stress management programs can help. In addition, there doesn't appear to be one type of mattress that's best for people with back pain. It's probably a matter of what feels most comfortable to you.

Firstly start taking a full nutritious diet. A good diet is a nutritional lifestyle that promotes good health. A good diet must include several food groups because one single group cannot provide everything a human needs for good health. And what ever we are eating that reflects on our body and skin. 1. Homoeopathic medicine for fair skin is berberis aquafolium mother tincture. Take 5 drops of it mix with water, twice a day. 2. Apply this tincture in diluted form on your face with cotton once a day. 3. Wash your face with besan and curd, mix a pinch of turmeric also. 5. Apply rose water to your face at night. 6. Apply cucumber juice+ lemon juice+ tomato juice on your face. 7. Apply multani mitti pack on the face, wash it off after it dries. 8. Apply bio- vally's skin lightening cream on your face.

White deposit in mouth is usually fungal infection. Apply or just pour 2 to 3 drops of candid mouth paint over the tounge 4 to 5 times in a day. After response, it may be continued 3 times in a day for 1 to 2 monts. Do not scrap or scratch white deposit. If no response in 3 to 4 days, consult pediateician. In case, if she is refusing feed which I suppose she is not able to suckle instead of refusing, give expressed breast milk with spoon for proper nutrition. If baby is not able to swallow, consult immiditely. Exclussive breast milk is strongly advisible up to 6 monts of age.

Namaskar sir mera bahut Kathin samasya hai. Mera bahut depression anxiety tention hoti hai. Meh bar bar man meh ek hi chis k liye bolta reheta hu. Mera jab depression anxiety hoti hai tab sar meh bahut dard hoti hai aur pura sar tightness lagta hai, bahut kuch chis vhul jata hu, Nind thik nahi hoti hai, mera ye sammasya 7 year se hai. Meh Himalaya ka Mentat ek dabai leta hu but ye dabai avi thik se kam nahi karta hai. Sir kuch medicine ap bol dene se meh apka avari rahunga.

If you feel depressed, it's best to do something about it — depression doesn't just go away on its own. In addition to getting help from a doctor or therapist, here are 5 things you can do to feel better. 1.Exercise. Take a 15- to 30-minute brisk walk every day — or dance, jog, or bike if you prefer. People who are depressed may not feel much like being active. In addition to getting aerobic exercise, some yoga poses can help relieve feelings of depression. Two other aspects of yoga — breathing exercises and meditation — can also help people with depression feel better. 2.Nurture yourself with good nutrition. Depression can affect appetite. One person may not feel like eating at all, but another might overeat. Proper nutrition can influence a person's mood and energy. So eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and get regular meals (even if you don't feel hungry, try to eat something light, like a piece of fruit, to keep you going). 3.Identify troubles, but don't dwell on them. Try to identify any situations that have contributed to your depression. When you know what's got you feeling blue and why, talk about it with a caring friend. Talking is a way to release the feelings and to receive some understanding. 4. Express yourself. With depression, a person's creativity and sense of fun may seem blocked. Exercise your imagination (painting, drawing, doodling, sewing, writing, dancing, composing music, etc.) and you not only get those creative juices flowing, you also loosen up some positive emotions. Take time to play with a friend or a pet, or do something fun for yourself. Find something to laugh about — a funny movie, perhaps. Laughter helps lighten your mood. 5. Try to notice good things. Depression affects a person's thoughts, making everything seem dismal, negative, and hopeless. If depression has you noticing only the negative, make an effort to notice the good things in life. Try to notice one thing, then try to think of one more. Consider your strengths, gifts, or blessings. Most of all, don't forget to be patient with yourself. Depression takes time to heal. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Dear Lybrate user it is Vidagdha ajirna avastha according to Ayurveda science. Take boiled water in normal room temperature which should be reduced upto 1/4th proportion. For one week when will feel hunger take lite food like Boiled Mung, Daal+Rice, Mung Daal khichadi, seasonal vegetables soup etc. Don't take Sprouts, Curd, Junk food, Spicy food. My son is 1 year old. He is suffering from loose motion for the past three days and there is no improvement in his health yet. He does Potty around 10 times a day. 10 times stool in 1 day is a serious concern in a 1 yr old. he needs immidiate treatment and evaluation. a proper history and evaluation would be needed to come to a diagnosis of the diarrhoea cause feel free to consult if you would like to know more.

Since I always have bloated and very tight stomach, is it ok fir me to drink milk (especially cold coffee) or shud I avoid it in any form. And what about giving lassi coz I like it n is it beneficial in anyway since I have muscular dystrophy , I need some strengthening for my muscles n bones.

Is the bloating due to milk? if yes you have lactose intolerance and you would want to use alternative forms of calcium supplementation. If the bloating is not related to drinking milk and you have it after eating everything else then you can drink milk. Just lower junk food and spicy food. Lower your oil intake. Use oil which are rich in good fatty acids. Add more vegetables and eat mostly the seasonal fruits.

Hi I can understand your problem. # relax & stay positive. # take hot and cold fomentation. # learn posture care exercise. # use lumber support. # take break every 20 minutes. # do strengthening exercise of back and core muscles not all back pains are same. Do share investigation reports if you have any.

Hello, Your weight is way to high. So start with including more vegetables. Aim to eat atleast 8-10 servings of vegetables. Atleast 4 servings should be raw. Have small meals many times a day. As you cannot do walking try doing g sitting exercises like simple head and neck movements, hand movements, breathing exercises and pranayama. Take good quality protein from legumes, pulses, soya, and egg. Supplementing with vitamin C, omega. 3 fatty acids, vit D also helps you a lot with your problem. Hope you find this useful.
