Diabetes affects all organs in the body – Eyes, kidneys, nerves, reproductive system all are affected, In fact, from toe to hair. For diabetic control, patient and doctor should be in constant touch for regular follow up and advice. The common symptoms are:-Both types of diabetes have some of the same tell-tale warning signs. Hunger and fatigue. Your body converts the food you eat into glucose that your cells use for energy. But your cells need insulin to bring the glucose in. If your body doesn't make enough or any insulin, or if your cells resist the insulin your body makes, the glucose can't get into them and you have no energy. This can make you more hungry and tired than usual. Urinating more often and being thirstier. The average person usually has to pee between four and seven times in 24 hours, but people with diabetes may go a lot more. Dry mouth and itchy skin. Because your body is using fluids to make pee, there's less moisture for other things. You could get dehydrated, and your mouth may feel dry. Dry skin can make you itchy. Blurred vision. Changing fluid levels in your body could make the lenses in your eyes swell up. They change shape and lose their ability to focus. Diabetes, often referred to by doctors as diabetes mellitus, describes a group of metabolic diseases in which the person has high blood glucose (blood sugar), either because insulin production is inadequate, or because the body's cells do not respond properly to insulin, or both. It is a difficult task to control blood sugar in the desired normal range. Whatever we eat is metabolised to sugar in the body to provide energy for our daily activities. For the absolute control, one has to monitor his / her blood sugar at regular intervals (Self-Monitoring of Blood glucose – SMBG). Though difficult, this can be done by a glucometer and keep a record. Get an idea of Fasting sugar (FBS) and 2 hours after food (PPBS), & HbA1C (inform me) and check before dinner and after every major food. The basic idea is to reduce the food intake to 1/3 of what you take now. The dictum of sugar control is diet, exercise, diet + medicine and at later stage medicine+ Insulin will be needed. There are different diet plans of varying calories for each person depending on his activity & life style. For diabetes, hypertension (high BP) and many long-term illness control there is the need for regular advice and follow up. Just one time consultation or advice is not enough to guide a diabetic in scientifically & medically correct manner. For giving you regular follow up you ask me with all details like your daily eating pattern and medicines you take. I assure you a proper guidance. If you keep in touch personally. Right now you are in 'Pre-Diabetic' stage. You are not even a Diabetic Patient. Taking medicines now will actually make you dependant on medicines for life. It is better to avoid medicines and rely on diet-cure and exercise cure to bring your Sugar levels down. You are currently just on the borderline and you can control your Sugar levels through lifestyle interventions. FBS- 100-126 is considered pre-diabetic. Its only after 126 that medicine can be considered. Even your PP is in normal range. You must always remember that medicine should be the last resort when everything else fails. Trust your instincts. You are the master of your body and not any doctor. Take care of yourself. Health is precious.

If your sugar level is not down with these medicines. It means you are not following diabetic diet plan clearly. So avoid potatoes. Rice. Sweets. Etc.

Lybrate-user, the levels mentioned are too high, shows totally uncontrolled diabetes. If you are on treatment, it is clear the current treatment is not helpful or grossly inadequate. Needs immediate improvement. Plus I see that you are having a bmi of 34.09 kgs/m2, showing grade 1 obesity. This also contributes to increased blood sugar. So there needs to be - efforts to reduce weight, additional treatment and proper diet control and exercise. With this multi pronged approach we will be able to bring situation under control. Thanks for the question.

The best thing that you need to do is to go for vaman karma next month. Talk to a panchakarma expert. This will detoxify the body & lead to a decrease in sugar levels.

Avoid mango, banana, grapes and chikkoo. Should consume more of green leafy vegetables, salads and permitted fruits (100 g a day). Use whole grain products and whole grain flour for chapati and roti. coffee is worst for diabetics

coffee is worst for diabetics
coffee is worst for diabetics:

Blended coffees

Blended coffees that are laced with syrup, sugar, whipped cream, and other toppings can have as many calories and fat grams as a milkshake, making them a poor choice for those with diabetes. A 16-ounce frappuccino at starbucks, for instance, can contain 500 calories, 98 grams of carbs, and 9 grams of fat. You may consider a treat such as this" just coffee" but the blended versions can send blood glucose soaring.

Have this instead: ask for the smaller, 12-oz light or non-fat versions, which range from 60 to 200 calories, making it a much lower-calorie, lower-sugar substitute" the lighter version won't drive blood sugars sky high, especially if you take a walk afterward" ideally, black coffee is best.

The right thing for you is visit a doctor in person. There are many options to control and manage diabetes. Before you start on any treatment, correct your diet and lifestyle. Take up activity, yoga or any kind of exercise. Take time for yourself and find out what could have triggered your diabetes. In 99% of cases, some stressful event triggers onset of diabetes in a person. It is true for any disease for that matter and it has been proved each and every time in our clinics. Resolve that problem if you can. After having tried and tested various combinations of the above, if yet your sugar levels ars high, you can try homeopathy. We have been able to reverse the symptoms and reports and patients have gone back to no medicines - both allopathy and homeopathy. Give it a thought!

Numbness may also be caused by extremely cold atmosphere depending on place where u live. I suggest you to clean intestines to expel AMA to strike laziness as a first step. Then pranayam is required. Then anti Vatic treatment is required. It takes not less than two to three months by safe Ayurveda treatment without side effects. Provided you are sure u r not diabetic. If diabetic, treatment would differ and for longer time.
