Tips for Choosing a Toothbrush
Size: the best toothbrush head for you should allow you easy access to all surfaces of your teeth. For most adults, a toothbrush head a half-inch wide and one-inch tall will be the easiest to use and the most effective.

Bristle variety. You will be able to select a toothbrush with soft, medium, or hard nylon bristles. For the vast majority of people, a soft-bristled toothbrush will be the most comfortable and safest choice. Depending on how vigorously you brush your teeth and the strength of your teeth, medium- and hard-bristled brushes could actually damage the gums, root surface, and protective tooth enamel.

Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with surgical, gum strengthening desensitizing procedures and / or artificial enamel filling or root canal treatment. You may consult me in person too. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Tongue cleaning is as important as brushing and flossing. Use of a proper tongue scraper every morning will remove tongue plaque and freshen your breath.

I have an teeth cavity please give me some home made remedies for whitening teeth and also preventive measures.
Cavities in teeth can't be treated at home. You have to get it filled with or without root canal treatment depending on the extent of decay. For whitening teeth, go for scaling and polishing. Teeth prevention is very simple. Brush your teeth twice daily and also use mouthwash. Clean your mouth with forcefully gargling of water after you eat or drink anything. Limit your intake of food to 4-5 time a day. Reduce intake of sweet and sticky foods.

Some low blood haemoglobin level ( due to vitamin methylcobamin deficiency ) leads to black spots on tongue especially anterior part of tongue but this is only one sign and it would not confirm that' s it' s the only cause, but u can ask your physician or directly have a test for blood hb level check up done

It’s better to buy small tubes of toothpaste, rather than the economy family-size. This reduces the tendency of some toothpastes to harden because of the contents will be used quicker.

Hello lybrate-user. Gum bleeding involves many underlying causes. Brushing. Vitamin c deficiency, bad oral hygiene, plaque are the main factorsleading to bleeding gums. Not only brushing twice daily but regular visits to a dentist and getting professional scaling done once in 6 months helps you.

Kindly get scaling done and use mouth wash twice daily for 15 days. Brush your teeth twice daily using correct brushing technique to maintain your oral hygiene. Also notice that you are not constipated most of the times as this is also one of the reasons for bad breath.

Dear lybrate-user you need to first treat the problem and make efforts to prevent it further from comming back again. You most probably need a good scaling and polishing from a dentist and have regular followup with the dentist atleast once in a six months.

Hi, there are various reasons of bad breath, like impurities in blood, inefficient digestive system, dry mouth (lack of saliva production), gum disease, cavities, plaque and tartar formation around teeth and gums, kind of diet, improper brushing / cleaning of mouth etc. I would advise you to get a thorough physical and dental examination to rule out the cause of bad breath and to solve it permanently.
