Take tablet suminat rapid release for aborting an attack of migraine. Try to avoid precipitating factors like cheese chocolates, loud music, dim light - these you will have to find out yourself. Take adequate sleep. Half an hour before travelling take tablet avomine and vertin 8. If problem not solved come back after 10 days.

If you have generalised pain, with sleep disturbance, depression, it maybe due to fibromyalgia syndrome. You need good clinical examination. Kindly consult a pain specialist.

Then continue treatment as advised. If you still have fits, get treatment revised. If you are not having fits since 3 years after you started treatment consult your neurologist before stopping medicines

MBBS, Diploma in Nutrition and Health Education (DNHE), Diploma in Clinical Cosmetology
General Physician, Noida
to me Hello, I am giving some health tips for Migraine headache •1.You can turn off light for some time •2.Apply hot or cold compresses to your head or neck. •Ice packs have a numbing effect, which may dull the sensation of pain. •Hot packs and heating pads can relax tense muscles. •3.Warm showers or baths may have a similar effect. •4.You can take Tea or coffee( but not excess) 5.Sleep well Here are some tips to encourage sound sleep. Establish regular sleep hours. •Minimize distractions. •Your eating habits can influence your migraines. •Be consistent. Eat at about the same time every day. Don't skip meals. Fasting increases the risk of migraines Avoid foods that trigger migraines kindly consult Physician for further management

What is brain tumour and what are the symptoms and also suggest appropriate treatment and precaution?

BAMS, MD Ayurveda
Sexologist, Navi Mumbai
Brain tumors can occur at any age The exact cause of brain tumors is not clear The symptoms of brain tumors depend on their size, type, and location. The most common symptoms of brain tumors include headaches numbness or tingling in the arms or legs; seizures, memory problems mood and personality changes; balance and walking problems; nausea and vomiting; changes in speech, vision, or hearing. The more intense the color of a fruit or vegetable, the higher the nutritional content is. Choose dark leafy greens, peas, edamame or spinach for vitamins B and C, iron, protein and fiber. Don’t shy away from canned vegetables, especially if they make your life easier right now. Frozen fruits and vegetables are also a healthy alternative. Try the “3-colors-a-day” trick as an easy way of ensuring fruits and vegetables make it to your menu. For example, blueberries with breakfast, dark leafy lettuce on your sandwich at lunch, red peppers with chicken at dinner. and drink lots of water keep your body hydrated

How to cure completely my head migraine? Any tablets? I am now using flunipar 10 mg. It gives me many side effects such as body pain, sleepy,no clear eye sight. So please suggest me a gud way to cure my head migraine.

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Continous chronic migraine needs prophylaxis treatment for decreasing migraine attacks and remission. For management of migraine you need to follow following things. 1) avoid fasting, skipped or delayed meals, excessive chocolates or coffee. 2) Take proper sleep and timely diet Medication can be started Flunarizine Amitryptiline: sedation common side effects Topiramate: memory disturbances and risk of angle closure glaucoma and renal stone Divalproate: Weight gain You need to discuss with your treating neurologist about all these options and associated risk and side effects. The response to treatment comes in a month time with these medications. For instant pain control, pain killers may be taken. Hope you found the answer helpful. Do get back to me for further queries.
