Hello, please investigate properly and send the x-ray and other investigation report to rule out whether it is arthritis or anything else. This is may be due to overweight or deficiency of vitamin d3 and calcium or due to poor posture. Till then follow these advises - 1. Take calcium supplements and sun bath daily to prevent further damage to your joints. 2. Avoid heavy lifting. 3. Avoid squatting and weight bearing activities. 4. Use western toilet. 5. Wear shock absorbing, good quality of shoes while walking. 6. Keep roll of a towel under your knees while sleeping. 7. Perform some gentle exercises and stretching of your all joints before getting out of your bed. 8. Walk straight with shoulder protracted. 9. Perform deep breathing exercises or yoga for proper functioning of lungs. I will explain you stiffness and pain reducing techniques in the next session. Wish you a happy and pain free life thanks.

Avoid sitting Cross legged. Avoid Squatting- Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports Taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area Contrast Fomentation (Hot and Cold).

Drink plenty of water as there could be possibility of low sodium level .kindly check that level through lab test. - if you having knee arthritis, your pain will aggrevate to calf myscles also, consult physiotherapist for good mobility and strength of joint muscles.

Hi I can understand your problem 1) avoid activities that make your symptoms worse 2) apply ice packs 3) start physiotherapy treatment as electrotherapy will reduce pain inflammation 4) exercise and manual therapy will help in pain free movement. Hello mam, Follow this procedure pain is reduced if the pain not reduced consult physiotherapist. Apply hot or ice fermentation 3- 4 times daily. Do the lower back and leg muscles stretching exercises. Avoid forward bending. Avoid single leg standing. Avoid long time standing, walking, sitting. If your over weight try to reduce weight.

Their may be early degenerative changes in your knees that may showing these symptoms, you should go for a X-Ray of your knees and for the time being start doing Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Hi, I am a 49 year old male with lower back pain. I suffered a disc prolapse in 2005 and a couple of recurrences later. I was in beta methasone for 2 years due to an attack of pemphigoid which started tapering off in dec 2014 and stopped using the same in march 2015. For the last 4-5 months, I have acute lower back pain, with stiffness in various other joints. I have undergone 7 sessions of physiotherapy (heat treatment and vibratory massage), I also am regularly doing the 6-7 recommended spine exercises for the last 5-6 weeks along with 3 km morning walk after the same. I have taken two booster doses of vitamin d and my rheumatoid arthritis related blood test is normal. This has now alleviated the pain which I used to get while getting out of the car or rising after sitting for more than 30 mins but the back pain is persisting. Kindly advise the next steps. Mri and pelvis x ray are normal except for some degeneration of l 3/l 5. This regimen

I have severe joint pain and I am already under medication but can you please tell me some remedies for pain reductions.
Medicines will help you to get relief from the pain temporarily. In the long run you need to do therapeutic exercises for the particular joint to maintain mobility. Also you need to reduce weight so that joint is not overloaded and avoid pain. Go for the right approach to loose weight, follow a healthy balanced diet, and do exercises suitable for your body type (avoid aerobics, zumba, high intensity cardio) initially, once you loose 15-20 kgs weight, then you can go for zumba or aerobics. To start with do power yoga, strength training, cardio etc. But not to forget diet plays a major role in loosing weight!

Hi... Sorry to hear about the problem. ... If your blood pressure is 160/120 on the medication, then you should talk to your doctor about possibly increasing the medicine as the BP is not well controlled. There are many reasons for the pain. With the high BP you should talk to your doctor and atleast get an ECG to get it checked out. Hope this helps, Please let me know should you need anything. Thanks
