Eat a nutritious diet. Get plenty of protein. Protein makes hair thick and shiny. ... Eat omega-3 fatty acids. These healthy fatty acids promote hair growth. ... Eat spinach and other leafy greens to get enough vitamin C. Take vitamins. Prenatal vitamins, especially, contain ingredients that help thicken your hair. To use coconut oil for getting thicker hair naturally, massage a bit of warmed coconut oil into the scalp and hair and cover with a hot towel. Get the towel hot by running it under hot water and ringing out all excess water. This will ensure that the oil stays heated while penetrating the hair shaft.

Dear Lybrateuser, - You can improve your stamina by other means also like walking, swimming, playing a game, stretching including pull ups push ups, squats, crunches, planks, by moderate weight lifting 2-3 times a week for 15-20 min, also you can try yoga which is of various types & build your body & stamina - also a well balanced diet along with fruits, vegetables, protein rich foods & healthy fats is required to build stamina.

Dear Lybrateuser, - The cause for your frequent urination could be a urinary tract infection - have 7-8 glasses of water along with other fluids per day for proper hydration - get urine RE/ME (routine examination/ microscopic exam) done to rule out any infection - if urine report is positive for infection then consult a doctor as you may require a course of antibiotics.

We all are aware of the fact that our height increases up to a particular age and then it comes to a halt. Height increases up to the age of 18years in women and up to the age of 20 years in men. Increase in height is attributed to the production of growth hormone, called the HGH( Human Growth Hormone), which is secreted by the pituitary gland called the master gland of our body. It is rather difficult to increase height after reaching adulthood as the production of these hormones slowly stops. In most cases, the epiphyses of the long bones are fused as the last bits of cartilaginous tissue in the bones turn into solid hard bones. This prevents any further growth in longer bones. However, if the hormones are released naturally, increase in height can be observed. It is possible that you are deficient in vitamins specially vitamin c. Take amla juice or amla candies everyday. Apply himalaya lip care balm to your lips four to five times a day. This balm contain herbal ingredients that are very useful in healing the skin.

Role Of Physiotherapy In Peripheral Neuropathy!

Peripheral neuropathy (PN) is damage to or disease affecting nerves, which may impair sensation, movement, gland or organ function, and affects other aspects of health, depending on the type of nerve affected. The treatment by a physical therapist helps in reducing symptoms and improves an individual’s quality of life. As the cause, type, and symptoms of peripheral neuropathy can vary, the approach to care also varies. Physical therapy is helpful in maintaining strength, mobility, and function. 

Strengthening exercises for peripheral neuropathy moderately improve muscle strength. Exercising can help, when done regularly. They further reduce the neuropathic pain and also helps in controlling the blood sugar levels.

Objectives of physiotherapy include:

  • Maintaining and improving functions via a range of motion through stretching.

  • Strengthening muscles which include exercising against increasing resistance, use of weights and isometric exercise.

  • Balance training helps in providing stability and prevents falls.

  • Braces or splints can be used to enhance balance and posture.

  • Splinting is used in the treatment of compression mononeuropathies, such as carpal tunnel syndrome.

After an injury to the nerve, physiotherapeutic methods are used to eliminate paresis and to restore normal function of muscles as well as to improve circulation.

  • Electrostimulation – It plays an important role in the treatment of various neuromuscular dysfunctions.

  • Magnetotherapy- It is used where a pulsed low-frequency magnetic field is applied. It has well-known effects on enhancing enzymatic activity, oxy-reductive processes and proper blood circulation resulting in better oxidation and conduction characteristics of regenerating peripheral nerves. It enhances the regeneration of nerve fibers.

  • Bio-laser stimulation- where low energy biostimulation lasers are used in palatial, continuous manner. Laser radiation can also be used to rejoin the nerve stumps.

Few advice to stop bleeding gums-- - visit to a dentist for professional cleanig once in a year - use a soft toothbrush -- and brush properly! brush your teeth for at least two minutes twice a day and after meals. Hard brushing can further damage the soft tissues of your mouth. - floss at least once a day and be sure to floss beyond the gum line to remove more plaque. - control bleeding by applying pressure to the area with a cold compress. - rinse with salt water to keep the area clean. - avoid mouthwashes that contain alcohol, which can dry out your mouth. - stay away from smoking and other tobacco products, which can aggravate bleeding gums.
