Dear lybrateuser, - Do steam inhalation twice a day - avoid all cold fluids, have more of warm fluids like tea, coffee, milk, soup - also avoid exposure to dust, smoke, perfume, sprays - take tablet cetrizine, 10 mg, 1 tablet daily in the evening - have 7-8 glasses of water per day for proper hydration - have a well balanced diet with more if vegetables & fruits, whole grains & protein foods to boost your immunity.

10 Food Items You Must Eat Everyday for Healthy Skin

You may have preferences when it comes to which skin care products you want to use on your skin, but the actual nourishment is received from within. Hence it is very important to eat healthy food in order to keep your skin healthy. Although it is not possible to maintain the 'healthy' food notion every day, here are some food items which you must eat regularly to maintain healthy skin:

1. Olive oil:
Olive oil is one of the healthiest oils you can use in your everyday meals. This is because almost 75% of the fat in olive oil is monounsaturated fatty acids. It also contains antioxidant polyphenols which help to keep the skin healthy. Olive oil also plays a major role in controlling signs of aging. If you consume olive oil regularly for at least a few weeks, you will suffer from 31% less signs of aging.

2. Tomatoes:
When consumed with olive oils for a few weeks, tomatoes provide almost 33% more protection against suffering from sunburns. This is because tomatoes contain the antioxidant lycopene which helps in improving the natural SPF of the skin.

3. Dark Chocolate:
In spite of the common belief that it is a weight gaining food, dark chocolate is actually very beneficial to the skin. It contains a compound called "cocoa flavanols" which hydrate skin and also improve blood circulation in the body.

4. Green Tea:
Green tea has an antioxidant called EGCG which improves blood circulation and oxygen flow in the body, while delivering vital nutrients to the skin which is required for its health. Green tea makes the skin more elastic and smooth, softer and supple. It also reduces sun damage by a quarter.

5. Water:
Water is very important for the skin to remain hydrated. Drinking enough water everyday makes the skin appear plumper and less wrinkled.

6. Coffee:
Regular consumption of coffee reduces the risk of non-melanoma skin cancer by 11%. If you drink 6 cups of coffee every day, it reduces the risk by 30%, but it causes other health problems; hence is not advised.

7. Carrots:
Carrots contain "carotenoid" which gives a natural glow to the skin. Carotenoid provides more yellow tones to skin giving it a healthier look.

8. Pomegranate:
Pomegranate has the most antioxidant content amongst fruits. It has an inflammation fighting antioxidant which helps in fighting aging signs.

9. Sunflower seeds:
Sunflower seeds are full of Vitamin E which makes the skin supple and helps to protect the skin from the Sun.

10. Beetroot:
This red root is loaded with Vitamin A, potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium and Vitamin E. It has skin clearing properties, and is essential for healthy skin and epidermal healing. Use of good sunscreen having spf 30 is advised. Applying milk for some time, use of turmeric paste and rose water can diminish tanning.

Hi, need to find out the cause of nausea, till the time: drink water, sports drinks, or broths. Juices and soft drinks should be avoided. Eat as tolerated, but only light, bland foods, such as crackers or plain bread to begin with. If your nausea is chronic, you'll need to find a variety of vegetables and proteins that don't upset your stomach to maintain proper nutrition. Stay away from fried or greasy foods. Steer clear of sweets. Eat small meals and eat them slowly. Rest a while after eating with your head elevated. Avoid dairy products for 24 hrs after vomiting consume watermelons and muskmelons because they contain a lot of water drink 8 glasses of water daily to prevent dehydration home remedies: - natural home remedy using garlic and milk. Crush 2-3 garlic cloves to paste. Add this paste to 1 glass milk. Boil the mixture for 5 min. Sip this when hot. This is very effective in controlling vomit caused by digestive problems. - take 15-20 mint leaves. Take a small piece of ginger. Crush them together to a paste. Press the paste on a sieve. Extract juice. Take 2 tsp of this juice. Add 1 tsp lemon juice. Add 1 tsp honey. Mix well. Have this twice everyday. - take 10-15 curry leaves. Crush them to make paste. Press this paste on a sieve. Extract juice. Add 1 tsp lemon juice. Add 1 tsp honey. Mix well. Drink this mixture twice everyday. It gives relief from morning sickness, nausea and vomiting.

Hi lybrate-user, to lose weight you need to follow these (1) don't eat sugar and sugar sweetened juice like fruit juice, health drink, coffee, soft drinks etc because these increases belly fat and liver fat which leads to insulin resistance and host of metabolic problems. Instead of that eat whole fruits which are fiber rich and mitigate the negative effect of fructose. (2) include more protein in your diet to reduce fat as well as it will avoid re-gaining weight. Include protein like fish, egg, lean chicken, mushroom, cottage cheese, seafood, dairy products etc. Along with physical exercise you can use whey protein. This is a healthy and convenient way to boost your total intake. (3) take low carb foods like whole grain, brown rice, wheat, brown bread etc. (4) eat more fruits and vegetables as these are high in fiber which helps to reduce weight. (5) take healthy fat like refined oil, fish oil like sardine, olive oil etc (6) regular exercise like swimming, skipping, yoga, push ups, sit ups etc. (7) plenty of water about 3 lit/day. (8) quality sleep and stress free life.

I am a registered dietitian and a doctor who will help you in managing your weight. You need to provide me your daily food intake details. There are many lifestyle and dietary guidelines that can be followed: take high protein prescribed diet, have paneer, eggs and potatoe daily. Incorporate dry fruits in your diet on a daily basis. Eat a balanced diet as prescribed by a registered dietitian, I being a registered dietitian and doctor have been successfully helping patients with their problem. I will also prescribe medicines that will speed up the time to achieve your weight management goals. Gradual weight management is always advisable. An increase in 500 kcal per day can result in increasing the body weight by 0.5 kgs per week. Objective should be to restore a desirable weight/ ideal body weight according to one's age, gender and height. Juice of potato for controlling hair fall lack of vitamins and minerals can cause dry and brittle hairs which can trigger hair fall. Potato can be a good remedy to control hair fall in this case. Potato is rich in vitamin b6, vitamin c, manganese, phosphorus, copper and niacin which can be helpful for boosting hair growth. Crush some cleaned potato and squeeze out the juice. Now apply this fresh juice directly onto your scalp and hairs. Leave on for 30 minutes to an hour but do not let the pack get dry. Wash off with plenty of water.

1. Take one tablet of crocin advance as and when required after food up to a maximum of 3 tablets daily, 2. Drink plenty of water 3. Take adequate rest 4. Have adequate sound sleep in the night for 7-8 hours if you have recurrent attack of headache1. It could be a tension headache due to anxiety/stress, depression inadequate sleep, low bp/high bp, migraine, prolonged use of cell phone/computer, chronic anaemia, refractive error, chronic sinusitis, organic brain lesion 2. Avoid stress, physical and mental exertion, have adequate sound sleep for 7-8 hours daily in the night 3. Go for regular exercise 4. Practice yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise to calm your mind, control your emotion and relieve stress 5. Check for refractive error, sinusitis hemoglobin, bp 6. Avoid prolonged use of cell phone/computer 7. Consult neurologist to rule out other causes of headache, if required take a ct scan of head to exclude any brain lesion 8. If it is migraine you have to take migraine prophylactic drug after consulting neurologist.

During acute problem, take antiallergic tablet and apply calamine lotion locally . Drink plenty of liquids. Eat healthy diet. Avoid allergans ie dust or pollution. Get ur CBC and absolute eosinophil count done. Hope this helps u.

If you are on all those medications listed, I strongly recommend that you do all the 3 tests, preferably on the same day. Also do your hba1c levels, once in 6 months. It gives more information than fbs & post breakfast ppbs. But usually, we advice only fbs & 2 hour ppbs in the morning and this is the bare minimum. The choice is yours.
