I'm a 19 year old female. I get up at 5 am and take my breakfast at 6: 30 am. At 2 pm, I have my lunch and I take my dinner at 8: 30 pm and go to bed by 11 pm. I don't eat anything in between meals. I have following this schedule for past many years now. But I am not in a habit to drink milk but now I have calcium and vitamin D deficiency so I have been suggested to drink lots of milk. Dear lybrateuser, - There is no fixed time to drink milk, you can have a bowl at breakfast with oats or cereals with fresh fruits & a glass before bedtime as it helps induce a sound sleep - you can also have milk products like yogurt, cheese, paneer, butter milk which also provide good amount of calcium .

Diet plays a major role to treatment of diabetes. Includes- low foods will help you to control your diabetes. Use 6 small meal pattern instead of 3 major meal. Your bmi is low. So follow a high fibre diabetic diet according to your blood sugar level with well balanced ratio with calories, carb, proetin & fat.

Milk itna pina chahiye jitna pache aram se. Godugdh peena chahiye achhe dimag aur chanchal v active sharir ke liye. Bhains ka doodh sharir saushthav ke liye achha hai lekin dimag ke liye zyada gunkari nahi. Taza doodh piyen aur ho sake to svasth cow ka 'Dharoshan' doodh piyen. Milk apne aap me balanced diet hai. Yadi kisi ko milk intolerance hai to vaidya ki salah len.

I consulted doctor few years back he did xray and it is alright. Previously I feel pain when climbing stairs but now I am feeling pain when I go to evening walk too. Hi, you are over weight by 17 kg approx. Please, reduce your wet to over come your problem. Go for a wall in d morning. Take, plenty of water to eliminate toxins. Cut your meal by 10%, add salad, sprouts & fruits in lunch. Take, ots, green tea, in d breakfast. Split your meal into 4 parts. Tak, 3 cups of green tea. Go for cycling, gardening, homoeo medicine: @ colch 30-6 pills, thrice. Report fortnightly, please.

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Knee Replacement

Knee is a hinge joint where the lower leg bone tibia meets the thigh bone femur. During osteoarthritis, cartilage or ligament defects and degenerative arthritis, knee replacement surgery is recommended world-wide to get relief from extreme pain. Knee replacement surgery, also known as knee arthroscopy, is a surgical procedure, in which the affected knee joint is replaced with synthetic material. The most likely candidates for total knee replacement are the patients with severe destruction of the knee joint coupled with progressive pain and impaired function.

Modern technological advances have made computer assisted knee replacement surgery extremely popular around the globe. In this surgery, the surgeon is assisted by a computer to remove the optimum amount and angle of the bone, which otherwise is done by inspecting manually. This is an excellent example of surgery through small incision and it eliminates the chances of human error. A perfect alignment and balance is achieved and hence longevity is also increased to 20 - 30 years. Knee replacement surgery is also specific to gender as the anatomy of male and female patients is different.

There are many types of knee replacements, most common being the total knee replacement or Total Knee Arthroplasty. In addition, there is partial knee replacement, bilateral knee replacement, revision knee replacement and knee arthroscopy.

In knee replacement surgery, the worn out surfaces of joints of knee are replaced with artificial implant of plastic and metal. The lower end of the femur bone is removed and replaced with a metal shell. The upper end of the lower leg bone (tibia) is also removed and replaced with a channelled plastic implant with a metal stem. A plastic ball is also added under the kneecap depending on its condition. These artificial components are commonly referred as prosthesis. The design of these highly flexible implants replicate knee, with the rotating knee replacement implants assist in backward and forward swing of the legs.

Patients whose knee joints have been damaged by either trauma or progressive arthritis should consider total knee replacement surgery. Post-surgical hospital stay after knee joint replacement is usually three to five days. The surgery has a very high success rate and shows dramatic improvement after a month. This improvement is most notable one month or more after surgery. The pain caused by the damaged joint is reduced significantly when the new gliding surface is constructed during surgery. Initially, patient will walk with the help of a walking aid until the knee is able to support full body weight. After six weeks, patient can walk comfortably with minimal assistance. Patients with artificial joints are prescribed to take antibiotics during the course of any elective invasive procedures including dental work. Physiotherapy is an essential part of rehabilitation and it will increase the muscle strength and patient can enjoy most activities, except running and jumping.

This is my MRI report knee joint right there is moderate synovial effusion and STIR hyperintensity seen in sub-articular region of lateral tibia femoral condyle suggestive of marrow edema there is near complete disruption of the ACL in intercondylar groove which appears thickness and hyperintense on PD/T2/STIR sequences. However it is seen at his normal attachment sites. The PCL is bucked what is the best treatment for me?

Hello dear, you seem to have a complete gr. 3 acl tear, as shown by the mri, which is now a days a very common injury sustained while playing games like football or involving a fall etc. Nowadays treatment for this type of injury is fairly simple and it involves an arthroscopic acl reconstruction using tendon grafts from your own thigh muscles, namely the semitendinosus and the gracilis muscles. After the surgery you will be pain free and be able to resume your day to day activities within 5-6 weeks time and return to sports and other activities in about 6-9 months time. Hope this helps.

You are doing regular fitness routine, that is good. Your weight is in control. You can reduce by about 4-6 Kgs at max. There is no medicine/supplement/herbs to reduce weight from the body. These are all myths. You can reduce your tummy by doing at least 20 mins of treadmill daily + 10 mins of abs based exercises. Your aim should be to have a streamlined body wherein every part of the body is lean and strong. Even a person like John Abraham spends 1-2 hours doing cardio and climbing stairs. Aim to have complete fitness. If you can't do treadmill then run in a park. Keep taking new challenges to keep your body fit and attractive.

Hello lybrate user, - better to go with ayurveda treatment for her - application of mahanarayana taila with eucalyptus oil daily twice and giving hot fomentation for 15 min will relieve the pain and also strengthen her joints - also donno whether she can walk.
