I am 60 years, diabetic for five years, on Metaforte-500mg, 1-0-1, I do pranayama, sudarshan Kriya yoga, morning my breakfast will be invariably protein shake (herbalife) and my sugar is under control (98 -110) fasting and 140-150 PPBS. HBA1c is 6.5. My problem is foot neuropathy, there is no total numbness, but lot of talking and burning sensation. My doctor says HBA1c should be brought down to 6. My BP will vary from 135/90 to 140/95. Please suggest some remedy for foot neuropathy.

Vitamin b will definitely help in food neuropathy. Are you a member of herbal life? with diabetes you have to take more fibre, protein, variety of veg, 3-4 fruit servings in a day but in moderate amounts because of diabetes, very sweet fruits like banana, mango, sitaphal, cheeku etc are restricted. Eat dry fruits especially wall nuts & flex seeds for omega 3 & sprouts for fibre etc. In diabetes there are multiple nutrient deficiencies and food cravings. To correct them and feel better, you must take some dietary supplements as diabetic people have more nutritional needs. अनानास की गिनती रसदार फलों में की जाती है. स्वाद में बेहतरीन लगने वाले अनानास में तमाम पोषक तत्वों की भी मौजूदगी भी होती है. स्वाद में ये खट्टा-मीठा लगता है. ये सभी पोषक तत्व हमारे शरीर के लिए तमाम स्वास्थ्य लाभ लिए रहता है. एंटीऑक्सिडेंट, फाइबर, कैल्शियम, पोटेशियम, मैंगनीज, फास्फोरस, विटामिन ए, सी, थायमिन और फोलेट आदि भरपूर मात्रा में पाए जाते हैं. इसमें सोडियम और वसा की मात्रा भी काफी कम होती है. अनानास के फायदे और नुकसान को समझने के लिए निम्नलिखित बिन्दुओं को देखें.

अनानास के नुकसान
* अनानास के सेवन से उल्टी, सर दर्द, पेट दर्द आदि जैसी समस्याएं उत्पन्न हो सकती है.
* शुगर के मरीजों को इसका इस्तेमाल सावधानीपूर्वक करना चाहिए. हो सके तो चिकित्सक के परामर्श से इसका इस्तेमाल करें.
* गर्भवती महिलाओं और स्तनपान करने वाली मातायें इसका इस्तेमाल करने से बचें.
* अधिक मात्रा में इसका सेवन करने से बचें क्योंकि ये नुकसानदेह साबित हो सकता है.

Hi, If you’re aiming to gain some strength and build muscle, you must follow the points mentioned below: 1. Start exercising. If you’re a beginner, focus on bodyweight exercises like push up, pull up and squat. The basic push up and chin up are invaluable exercises you can do with very little equipment. Increase their difficulty by adding reps or affixing weights to your legs. 2. Consume a balanced diet. It's important to eat big meals to fuel muscle growth while you're training. You’ll need to eat healthy, whole foods that will nourish and restore your muscles. Consume all types of fruits, vegetables, grains, oils and dairy products. 3. Take adequate rest. Many people take this step lightly, but it's absolutely essential when it comes to gain strength. That means you won't be able to work out as hard or lift as much as you otherwise would, not to mention you'll be more prone to injury if you're feeling sleepy. Get at least 7-8 hours of sleep per night, possibly more depending on your individual needs, during heavy workout periods. 4. Increase protein intake. Protein proves to be the most essential nutrient when it comes down to gaining strength or building muscle. Therefore, consume all types of protein from both veg and non veg food items. Chicken breast, egg whites, fish, pulses provide you all the protein you need without containing any unnecessary fat. 5. Focus on compound movements. Compound movements are those which engages more than one muscle group. Exercises like bench press, squat, dead lift are great examples of compound exercises to gain strength quickly. 6. Lift heavy. If your main aim is to gain strength, you’ll need to lift heavy weights in the gym and thus, lower the repetitions of your sets. Moderate-rep sets are important when training for muscle size. However, to build strength, you're going to have to train with heavier weights, meaning you'll do fewer reps. 7. Limit cardio to once or twice per week. Cardio exercises like running, swimming, and biking are great ways to keep your endurance good and your circulation healthy. However, they aren't the best exercises you can do if your goal is to gain strength. Weight training requires loads of energy, and if yours has already been used up by a long run or bike ride, you won't have enough left over to give weight training your best shot. Limit cardio to once or twice per week so your energy reserves are ready to expend on building strength. Best of luck!

Hi Insulin pump would be ideal for brittle diabetes. Those who can't afford, can manage with insulin and proper diet which mostly is small frequent meals with a little knowledge about carbohydrate count which will be of much help in insulin dose adjustment. You need continuous blood glucose monitoring for few days to understand your dips and surges in blood sugar which inturn is very useful in adjusting your insulin dosage. De-stressing also plays an important role. Avoid alcohol, make sure insulin needle is changed after every fourth prick (if it's a flex pen) and is taken properly. Stay fit and strong, as fitness level rises, diabetes risk reduces.

Tips to lose weight faster: 1. Eat a high-protein breakfast. 2avoid sugary drinks and fruit juice. 3. Drink water a half hour before meals. 4. Choose weight loss-friendly foods (more vegetables and fruits) 5. Eat soluble fiber. 6. Eat mostly whole, unprocessed foods. 7. Eat your food slowly. 8. Sleep 7-8 hours 9. Hello It's not possible to gain or loose 10 kg in a month .Try changing your lifestyle and check if you are having enough nutrients and including food items from all food group .you can try high calorie or calorie dense and protein rich healthy food options like milk based products peanuts jaggery dry fruits sprouts dals along with balanced meal. Slowly you will start gaining weight through muscle mass. Hope this helps.

C-reactive protein is measured in milligrams of CRP per liter of blood (mg/L). Normal CRP levels are below 3.0 mg/dL. C-reactive protein measures general levels of inflammation in your body. High levels of CRP are caused by infections and many long-term diseases. But a CRP test cannot show where the inflammation is located or what is causing it. Other tests are needed to find the cause and location of the inflammation.

Although sun exposure is best thing but in today's scenario its hardly possible. You can take vitamin D supplement once a week with milk. Name of few are cholecalcifrol sachets, vitanova sachets or uprise D3 soft gel and many more available at chemist.

Hello, you should do exercises with increase in the protein content in you diet, have more of milk and milk products, eggs, dry fruits, lean chicken pieces.

Genital Sores - How to Treat It?

The red and itchy sores in genital area, which can cause immense pain are genital sores. They usually spread through infection that has occurred during sexual contact. There may also be bleeding if rubbed or scratched. This is usually a form of sexually transmitted infection which can be caused due to dermatitis or other allergies. Genital herpes and syphilis as well as bacterial diseases like chancroid can also cause the occurrence of this condition. 

Here are a few ways in which this may be treated:

  • Medication: The general physician or gynaecologist can prescribe a number of drugs that can help in treating this ailment. To begin with, you may have to ingest oral antibiotics or antiviral medication that can ensure that the bacteria do not get a chance to fester, grow and spread. Corticosteroids can also be prescribed for particularly severe cases. Pain relievers can help in soothing the area and the blisters in the genitals, while anti itching drugs like hydrocortisone can ensure that you do not scratch the area which can also lead to bleeding.
  • Surgical Removal: A particularly troublesome bout or sores can be removed with the help of non-invasive and surgical procedures depending on the severity of the situation. You may be required to go under medical observation for a few hours or days after the procedure to ensure that there are no complications or further cases of infection.
  • Intermittent Treatment: After the initial treatment where you will most likely go through a week long course of antiviral medication, or three weeks of antibiotic therapy, you may have to go through antiviral therapy every now and then. This is especially recommended if yours is a recurring case. Doctors usually recommend the ingestion of pills for two or three days as soon as you start to experience the painful symptoms and eruptions.
  • Suppressive Treatment: Very frequent outbreaks can make the doctors prescribe an antiviral pill a day, which will basically act towards suppressing an attack. This kind of treatment is especially helpful if you have had more than six outbreaks in a span of twelve months. This can bring down the risk of outbreaks by about 80%, as per medical studies. This can also reduce the risk of passing on the infection to a partner. If you are taking this kind of treatment, you should see your doctor at least once or twice a year too.

Taking home remedies like a warm compress or sitting in a warm tub of water with a few drops of antibacterial can also help. But you must see a doctor before treating these sores at home. You can also prevent the same by practicing safe sex.
