Worms is generally a family problem though all will not show symptoms. So all family members should be treated at the same time with bandy. Also look for any other source for repeated infection. Keep nails cut properly. Eat only home food as it's more hygienic that any outside food. Wash hands properly before eating. See area around motion area for redness. Treat constipation if any.

Separation Anxiety

BASM, MD, MS (Counseling & Psychotherapy), MSc - Psychology, Certificate in Clinical psychology of children and Young People, Certificate in Psychological First Aid, Certificate in Positive Psychology
Psychologist, Palakkad
Separation Anxiety
Anxiety provoked in a young child by separation or the threat of separation from its mother or main carer. Separation anxiety can begin before a child’s first birthday, and may pop up again or last until a child is four years old, but both the intensity level and timing of separation anxiety vary tremendously from child to child. A little worry over leaving mom or dad is normal, even when your child is older. You can ease your child’s separation anxiety by staying patient and consistent, and by gently but firmly setting limits.

For children with normal separation anxiety, there are steps you can take to make the process of separation anxiety easier.

1. Practice separation. Leave your child with a caregiver for brief periods and short distances at first.
2. Schedule separations after naps or feedings. Babies are more susceptible to separation anxiety when they’re tired or hungry.
3. Develop a “goodbye” ritual. Rituals are reassuring and can be as simple as a special wave through the window or a goodbye kiss.
4. Keep familiar surroundings when possible and make new surroundings familiar. Have the sitter come to your house. When your child is away from home, let him or her bring a familiar object.
5. Have a consistent primary caregiver. If you hire a caregiver, try to keep him or her on the job.
6. Leave without fanfare. Tell your child you are leaving and that you will return, then go—don’t stall.
7. Minimize scary television. Your child is less likely to be fearful if the shows you watch are not frightening.
8. Try not to give in. Reassure your child that he or she will be just fine—setting limits will help the adjustment to separation.

Abnormal separation anxiety needs expert assistance. Consult a psychologist for advise and intervention.

How is Homeopathy is Beneficial for Your Child During Exams and Result Time?

BHMS, Diploma in Diet and Nutrition
Homeopath, Lucknow

How is Homoeopathy beneficial  for your child during exams and result time?

Some Kids take tests with no tension at all, some get a bit nervous and tense, while others suffer with tummy aches, restlessness, headaches, nerves, mental dullness and an inability to focus. Just as some bodies overreact to allergens or toxins, others overreact to stresses like tests, public speaking or performing.

Fortunately homeopathy does not discriminate. Its applications include mental, emotional and physical symptoms equally. Without slowing, accelerating, depressing or stimulating mental function, our safe natural homeopathic remedies help the body steady its responses and maintain a healthier balance.

One gets the first bitter taste of stress in the adolescent years. There is pressure to perform well in exams, an anxiety whether one will be accepted by peers and to add to it all, difference in generations cause many arguments. All these lead to stress in susceptible youngsters. It is important to deal with stress at this stage because it lays foundations of the mental make up of individual for the years to come.

EXAM ANXIETY

The most common form of student stress is exam anxiety. Marked by a feeling of panic, the student feels upper pared for the exams, almost every student experience exam stress. To some extend exam anxiety functions as stress and motivates students to put in greater efforts while studying However, at times it gets it gets out of hand and the inevitable result is distress.

Initial symptoms of exam anxiety are:

  • Increased perspirations.

  • rapid heart beating.

  • Upset stomach.

  • Tense muscles.

  • Headache.

However when full-blow distress, then the following symptoms are observed:

  • Inability to focus and understand.

  • Difficulty in retrieving key words and concepts.

  • A ‘blank feeling when one tries to remember the answers.

  • Remembering the answers after the exam is over.

  • The unfortunate result of excess exam stress is that the student fares badly in exams in spite of having worked hard.

zW37779

The other common stressors faced by a student are…

  • Failure in examinations

  • The first year’s college, requiring adjustment to new study material and people.

  • Transfer to another college/educational institutions.

  • Economic burden of higher studies.

  • Problem with teachers.

  • Being expelled or having to quit college.

Homoeopathic approach…

Since this form of distress spoils the performance of even the brightest of students, it becomes a matter of concern and requires treatment at the right point of time we treat distress forms of exam anxiety through a group of specific homeopathic medications. These medications function by controlling and reducing the extent of exam anxieties as perceived by the human body. These in turn work by controlling stress levels and preventing symptoms of distress from setting in, thus giving the student a chance to perform at his/her best potential.

A further advantage of the treatment that homeopathy has no side effects, like drowsiness, insomnia or trembling, unlike conventional treatment. And also we guide to our patient yoga, prename and meditations under our treatment, improved his mental ability and patient free from his mental disease.

Few of the problems where homoeopathy improves your child are-

  • Staying focused and sharp – common situations, such as jitters before an exam or job interview, poor concentration, exhaustion from overwork, and eyestrain from prolonged computer use.

  • Exam apprehension and stomach upset before exams.

  • Nervous before public speaking ,orals, viva or exams .

  • Poor Concentration, Stress, and Overwork.

  • Inability to relax and over-stimulated mind.

  • Eyestrain and muscle stiffness.

  • Humiliation,shame and Failure.

  • Reprimand/Criticism and Bullying.

  • Worry and Fear of failure.

  • Depression,anger,irritability  and agitation.

I want to know about krill oil. Can I give my daughter krill oil as she is adhd and how can it help.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
Krill oil is oil from a tiny, shrimp-like animal. Baleen whales, mantas, and whale sharks eat primarily krill. In norwegian, the word" krill" means" whale food" people extract the oil from krill, place it in capsules, and use it for medicine. Some brand name krill oil products indicate that they use antarctic krill. This usually refers to the species of krill called euphausia superba. Krill oil is used for heart disease, high levels of certain blood fats (triglycerides), high cholesterol, high blood pressure, stroke, cancer, osteoarthritis, depression, premenstrual syndrome (pms), and painful menstrual periods. How does it work? krill oil contains fatty acids similar to fish oil. These fats are thought to be beneficial fats that decrease swelling, lower cholesterol, and make blood platelets less sticky. When blood platelets are less sticky they are less likely to form clots. High cholesterol. Developing research shows that taking 1-1. 5 grams of a specific krill oil product (neptune krill oil, neptune technologies & bioresources, inc) daily reduces total cholesterol and? bad? low-density lipoprotein (ldl) cholesterol, and increases? good? high-density lipoprotein (hdl) cholesterol in patients with high cholesterol. Higher doses of 2-3 grams daily also appear to significantly reduce levels of triglyceride, another type of blood fat. Osteoarthritis. Early research shows that taking 300 mg of a specific krill oil product daily reduces pain and stiffness in people with osteoarthritis. Premenstrual syndrome (pms). Early research shows that taking a specific krill oil product might reduce pms symptoms. Rheumatoid arthritis. Early research shows that taking 300 mg of a specific krill oil product daily reduces pain and stiffness in people with rheumatoid arthritis. High blood pressure. Stroke. Cancer. Depression. Other conditions. More evidence is needed to rate the effectiveness of krill oil for these uses. Krill oil is possibly safe for most adults when used appropriately for a short amount of time (up to three months). Research on krill oil has not adequately evaluated its safety or possible side effects. However, it is likely that krill oil can cause some side effects similar to fish oil such as bad breath, heartburn, fishy taste, upset stomach, nausea, and loose stools. Special precautions & warnings: pregnancy and breast-feeding: not enough is known about the use of krill oil during pregnancy and breast-feeding. Stay on the safe side and avoid use. Seafood allergy: some people who are allergic to seafood might also be allergic to krill oil supplements. There is no reliable information showing how likely people with seafood allergy are to have an allergic reaction to krill oil; however, until more is known, avoid using krill oil or use it cautiously if you have a seafood allergy. Surgery: because krill oil can slow blood clotting, there is concern that it might increase the risk of bleeding during and after surgery. Stop using krill oil at least 2 weeks before a scheduled surgery. The specific utility in adhd is not certain. Ask privately www.lybrate.com/drsajeev

Hello thanks for the query the growth and development of a baby suffering from hydrocephalus depends on the severity of involvement of brain. If the cortical thickness is very less and there is severe ventricular dilatation the outcome is poor. Please attach the report so that I better able to help you out. I hope she must has undergone hearing and visual assessment as there is high chance of hearing and visual impairment in such condition. Physical rehabilitation helps in recovery. Regards.
