Doctor my gynecology gave me siphene 50 mg tablets for 5 days I have to take 2nd day to 7th day now my question is how much months I have to take she told 6 months. In 6 months after I will conceive or before please clarify And when we have to do intercourse I have regular cycle now 29 to 32 days.

Hi doctor, I am a 13 years old girl. I always get angry with everybody when someone shouts at me or scold me. I always get angry for silly reasons and I can't control my anger at that time. What will I do for it? how will I control my anger?

You don?t have to control your anger; you must learn to express it properly. However, there may be a problem with how angry you get and for small reasons too. Since you are already displaying so much anger at such an early age, it indicates that there was something that had happened in your early childhood, including prenatal life, which is contributing to this situation. Your mom will know what that is all about, and equipped with that information meet with a counselor soon. When such signs come in early adolescence, it is advisable to take care of it promptly. In fact it will be easier to work on it now than later when the anger behavior will be too entrenched to remove easily. In the meantime go for regular and vigorous exercise daily, preferably the aerobic kind. Also you must introspect whether you are actually scared but choosing to act angry because it is a power feeling compared to being in fear. In that case you need to handle the fear and not the anger and your problems will cease to trouble you. Even so you must then find out about why there is so much fear in your life at this stage.

I have a hard fat like substance settled below my both nipples when I press my nipples I feel hard and my chest looks akward by that. Please help me.

1.It could be due to gynaecomastia (male boob) which is some times seen in adolescent age group or young adults 2.It is due to elevated level of blood estrogen and decrease level of testosterone. 3.It is not serious and sometimes go away on its own otherwise has to be treated by medicine or surgery 4.It is due to excess accumulation of fat in the chest 5.Regular chest and arm exercise like dumbbell exercise and push up exercise will help reduce the gynaecomastia 6. Reduce intake of fatty food like red meat, cheese, butter, ghee, cream, whole milk etc 7. Avoid alcohol since it decreases blood testosterone 8. If no relief, consult surgeon for advice

Hi, Below are my last 5 periods date it is varying so am confused what is my cycle length. I am married and sexually active, trying to conceive but don't know fertile days. Please Help. 1.25th OCt 20152.26th Nove 20153.30th Dec 20154.31st Jan 20165.7th March 2016 (I thought I was pregnant so got delayed but my period started at this date and last for only 1.5 days and not a heavy flow. I did homw pregnancy test today but it was negative.-() Please help with fertile days and anything need to add in diet for faster conception.

Hi lybrate-user. For a healthy woman 28_30 days are considered as a regular cycle. As per your reports yours is a regular cycle. You can consider 12 _14 days from the day of menstruation is considered as the fertile period since these days are ovulation period. So conception chance is more. Take healthy & rich fibre diet. Take urud dhal along with gingelly oil early morning empty stomach. Advice your husband to take milk, walnuts daily. Begetting a child must be a choice not a chance.

Hair loss is due to dietary deficiency, hormonal imbalance, stress, strong chemical effects, styling tools, dandruff.
Remove these causes first and also follow these steps:-
1. For hair growth eat healthy diet.
2. Include protein rich diet. Soya food, protein shakes, beans, pulses are good for hair. 3. Nuts are good source of omega 3 and fiber. Its also good for hair. 4. Drink lots of water. 5. Start herbal tea or green tea. Its good for hair growth. 6. If you are non veg then its also good for hair. Protein helps in fast growth of hair and also prevent hair fall. 7. Take all dairy products. 8. You can apply curd on hair before head bath. After that wash hair with normal shampoo and apply conditioner. Onion juice is good in controlling hair fall. Take 3 spoons of onion juice and add one spoon olive oil in it. Mix this and apply on hair. Wash hair after 2-3 hrs or you can apply this at night time and wash hair next morning. If you want medicine for hair growth revert back.

Take diet for hypothyroidism:- high-carbohydrate foods such as potatoes, rice, pasta and bread, Nutrient-rich foods that improve your health may also benefit your thyroid gland, antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables more plenty of water: Blueberries, tomatoes, bell peppers, and other foods rich in antioxidants can improve overall health and benefit the thyroid gland. Eating foods high in B vitamins, like whole grains, may also help. flax oil, Selenium: Tiny amounts of selenium are needed for enzymes that make thyroid hormones to work properly. Eating selenium-rich foods, such as sunflower seeds or Brazil nuts, can be beneficial. Tyrosine: This amino acid is used by the thyroid gland to produce T3 and T4. Taking a supplement may help, Avoid few foods in hypothroidism i.e. caffeine products tea,coffee, tabcco, alcohol / wine , kale, broccoli, spinach, mustard green, cabbage, turnip, millet, cassava, linseeds, pine nuts, soy products as soy milk, tofu, soybeans, soy souce, also avoid stress. Take Some Relax during work.

Thanks for the query. Firstly understand that weight gain is very dependent on genetics and metabolism. It is important to know that just eating just two heavy meals a day will not help. Eating the right foods at the right time is very important. Eat meals at frequent intervals. Eat a mid meal between each main meal. Avoid junk foods. Include dairy, eggs, nuts, fruits in your meals. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Exercise at least thrice a week. Even if you were to take medicines or supplements they will not work in isolation You need to have a calorie and nutrient dense meal.

How Lack Of Sleep Can Be Bad For Your Health

One in three people complain of poor sleep.
Sleep problems can occur due to long work hours, job pressures, career and family depression, seasonal or long term illnesses and, environmental factors such as extreme temperatures and excess of noise. On a slightly humorous note, poor sleep also crops up due to those minor tiffs with your dating partner, spouse or any of your office colleague or superiors who want to prove their one-upmanship over you.
What should you do in this case? Sit pretty and take positive action. Grow up, as it is time to address and solve the nagging issue of poor sleep before it causes any further damage to you and your happiness.

Negative Effects of Poor Sleep
Sleep deprivation can affect our mind, body and overall health, both physically and mentally. Let us have a glance at how it upsets our normal behaviour, working pattern and overall health:
Loss of Concentration: Often it is the nature of our task and work hours that leave us deprived of sleep. Sleep deprivation affects their speed, agility and alertness.
Obesity: Research shows that poor sleep due to our passive lifestyle affects our eating pattern, thereby increasing our food consumption and causing weight gain. Increased blood pressure, hypertension, and chances of heart attacks are the natural fallouts of poor sleep.
Reduced tolerance to stress: When you are tired owing to the workload and hectic hours, even minor things such as grocery shopping at a store close to your home or travelling in public transport to reach office might seem a huge task. The capacity of doing minor errand jobs seems like a huge burden on the shoulders.
Signs of Ageing : Lack of sleep quite naturally leads to puffy eyes. Since our body releases excess of cortisol (a stress hormone), it can cause breakdown of collagen which is the skin protein responsible for smooth and elastic skin in us. This over a period of time precipitates ageing symptoms such as fine lines, wrinkles, and dark circles under the eyes, affecting natural beauty.
Hampered social interactions: Staying awake at a stretch due to a set of reasons affects our interaction time and connectivity with friends, family members and community. When this happens, it slowly and gradually sucks us into an isolated space which makes us feel withdrawn and alone. In the process, poor sleep negatively affects human relationships.
Increased Accidents: Studies have revealed that poor quality sleep in the night time is likely to lead to injuries and accidents while you are on way to work. That is because sleeplessness affects our concentration level when we are travelling and leads to mishaps and injuries.
Cardiac Arrest: Sleep deprivation is one of the reasons that can cause early heart attacks as per certain research studies.
How to ensure sound sleep?
Lifestyle disorders such as staying up late and watching television, chatting and internet surfing, making long distance calls at night to avoid hefty phone bills during daytime, catching up with books and magazines, making children study and complete their class assignments etc. contribute a lot to triggering insomnia. However, here are a few of home remedies that can be the best alternative to fight poor sleep:
Follow bedroom ethics: A bedroom is meant to sleep in so there should be no kind of hindrance in Try to avoid keeping TV, computer, music system and other electronic gadgets in the bedroom so that when you come back from work, you get into a zone of 100% uninterrupted sleep. This might sound difficult to follow, but is worth a try if you wish to get sound sleep.
Take a warm bath: Your body needs relaxation and rejuvenation after a tiring day. Give yourself the benefit of warm tub bath. This will help you wash out the stress of everyday life. Try and add a few drops of essential oil (lavender or chamomile) to your bath water so that you can enjoy the soothing benefits of aromatherapy.
Meditate: Hitting the sack is an obvious choice after coming back from work. But do spend some time to meditate and clear your thoughts. This will help in bringing you the much needed sleep and calm your mind and nerves.
Apply lemon balm: If you want instant mood uplift, get for yourself lemon balm. One of the ancient herbs used for centuries, lemon balm helps you get good sleep through its physical and mental therapeutic properties. A relaxing tea made out of lemon balm is good when it comes to mood uplifting.
Drink warm milk: Take a glass of warm milk before going to sleep. It relaxes your nerves and is a mild soother that helps you unwind mentally and physically.
Drink tart cherry Juice: This one is a natural sleep aid, so drink half to one cup of it.
Do Feng Shui: This is an art of living that is more than just decorating your living space. It teaches you the philosophy of how to arrange your room, furniture etc. to ensure maximum flow of energy in the spaces so that a positive feeling leads to sound sleep. Therefore, it is essential to keep the room neat and clean with least clutter and trash.
Cut down on caffeine, alcohol, and tobacco: Caffeinated beverages should be avoided at least eight hours before bed. Similarly alcohol should be avoided as it interferes with the quality of sleep. Avoid smoking at night as well.
A solid night?s sleep is very important for a healthy life. Make sure you follow the tips above to live life happy and to the fullest.

Treatment- 1-apply prasarini oil or pranacharya restopain oil on your affected part and give hot water fomentation. 2-take yograj guggul and agni tundi vati after lunch and dinner with warm water. 3-Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. 4-Take pranacharya vatari capsule and syrup twice a day. My daughter 25 years of age unmarried is having irregular periods since the last 5 months. Periods after 20 days or after 40 days varying every alternate month. What should she take. Periods are normal.

She has irregular periods. I advise you to take proper balanced vegetarian diet. Take fruits and vegetables in daily diet. Take 8 to 10 glasses of water daily to detoxify body.
