I had sex with my partner on the 12th day after her periods. She has a 28 days cycle. I had some of my pre-cum (semen) in her vagina. But I used a condom a minute after I had started and ejaculated inside the condom. I gave her unwanted 72, 24 hours after. Is there any chance of pregnancy? Thank you.

After taking emergency contraceptive pill within time, pregnancy is less likely. However it does not provide 100% contraception. So be watchful. If she misses her scheduled period this month, do a urine pregnancy test to rule out chances of pregnancy.

Pica is a medical disorder characterized by an appetite for largely non-nutritive substances (e.g., coal, soil, feces, chalk, paper, etc.) or an abnormal appetite for some things that may be considered foods, such as food ingredients (e.g., flour, raw potato, starch, ice cubes). The scant research that has been done on the root causes of pica suggests that the majority of those afflicted tend to suffer some biochemical deficiency and more often iron deficiency. The association between pica and iron deficiency anemia is so strong that most patients with iron deficiency will admit to some form of pica. Often the substance eaten by those with the disorder does not contain the mineral of deficiency Homeopathy treats the person as a whole. It means that homeopathic treatment focuses on the patient as a person, as well as his pathological condition. The homeopathic medicines are selected after a full individualizing examination and case-analysis, which includes the medical history of the patient, physical and mental constitution, family history, presenting symptoms, underlying pathology, possible causative factors etc. A miasmatic tendency (predisposition/susceptibility) is also often taken into account for the treatment of chronic conditions. A homeopathy doctor tries to treat more than just the presenting symptoms. The focus is usually on what caused the disease condition? Why ‘this patient’ is sick ‘this way’. The disease diagnosis is important but in homeopathy, the cause of disease is not just probed to the level of bacteria and viruses. Other factors like mental, emotional and physical stress that could predispose a person to illness are also looked for. Now a days, even modern medicine also considers a large number of diseases as psychosomatic. The correct homeopathy remedy tries to correct this disease predisposition. The focus is not on curing the disease but to cure the person who is sick, to restore the health. If a disease pathology is not very advanced, homeopathy remedies do give a hope for cure but even in incurable cases, the quality of life can be greatly improved with homeopathic medicines. You can easily take an online consultation for further treatment guidance and permanent cure without any side effects

I am 26 and married. We are ttc for past 2 years. I have pcos and did a hysteroscopy for removing septum on last Oct 2015. After 2 months we started iui and period was delayed but negative hpt. After 5 days of taking duphaston no period show up after 3 days then took an hpt it showed a very light positive. But bhcg turned negative. After 3 days my period showed up with heavy bleeding and cramps. Doc said it might be an early miscarriage. Next iui was also not successful. But period was on time and was taking utrogestan 200 per day. By March I took follisurge injection for 3 days and 7 follicles showed up and all the seven was ovulated on 13th day and on the same day iui was done again. Started utrogestan200 twice a day. No. Period showed up so took an hpt on 3rd April and a positive line showed up but not so dark. On 4th April the test showed dark positive line. Doc asked to continue utrogestan for next 30 days and metformin 500 an folic acid. My scan is on 19th April. My concern is that I don't have any kind of pregnancy symptoms. Just have the same normal life. Is that could be missed miscarriage? What are the symptoms of miscarriage on utrogestan. Please answer me I am really worried.

You got dark line on urine pregnancy test. That means you are pregnant. Sometimes in some pts there can be no symptoms of pregnancy. That doesn't mean that again there is a missed abortion. You just take care of yourself considering you are pregnant.

I am 21 years old, I am suffering with irregular periods (I get menses once in 6months since 2 years. I consulted gynecologist 6months back, she said I have pcod and suggested some medication (mensovit) for getting periods. She asked me to consult her after a month to give a 3months medication for pcod but I did not consult her since I was out of station. Can anyone please suggest some home remedies to get regular periods. Your answer is very precious for me, thank you.

Hello- yes irregular menses and weight gain is due to pcod. According to ayurveda there is a fat (meda dhatu) and blood (rakta dhatu) symbiosis in the body, whenever the patient indulge in practices like irregular and unhealthy diet (fast food etc.) and irregular daily schedule (late night workout, sleeping in day time etc.) this symbiosis gets disturbed and body start making fat in excess thus minimizing the production of blood in proper quantity and quality. This is the reason why diseases like thyroid and pcod, menopausal female etc. Develops weight gain with reduced blood levels. In your case only weight loss treatment will not be beneficial for you, or you have to look out for both the aspects. Don't go for allopathic treatment for pcod (metformin etc.) as it will further increase your weight and will create a hormonal imbalance in your body. Follow this ayurvedic routine and treatment to cure both weight gain and pcod- a) tab kuberaksha vati 1 tab twice daily. B) tab hyponid 1 tab thrice daily. C) do basti treatment by nearby ayurvedic doctor (it is a very effective treatment in ayurveda for pcod). D) maintain proper eating routine, avoid fast foods and spicy diet.

She has to continue drugs for epilepsy throughout pregnancy for smooth running of it because uncontrolled epilepsy can affect mother and baby badly. Again, we need to check whether drugs levels are adequate or not in pregnancy. Now, miscarriage is different issue- that needs thorough investigations to diagnose the cause of it and then start treatment.

Hi lybrate-user. What other tests have been done. Just doing a d&c does not have any bearing on fertility. The cause has to be first diagnosed. Please tell me the deails of the tests done so far for you and your husband. Once I get to see the reports we can have a detailed discussion on further course of action. Do not worry so much. If the right treatment is followed you shall conceive soon.
