apply pranacharya face glow on your face for 15 minutes then wash it with warm water.. Take pranacharya b clean syrup 2-2 tsf twice a day. Take pranacharya allergin capsule 1-1 twice a day. Wash your face with any good ayurvedic soap containing neem etc.......

Boil 3 grams of fresh mint leaves or 1.5 grams of dried powder of mint leaves in 1 cup of water for 15-20 minutes. Take lukewarm with 1 teaspoon of honey at bedtime. Add ½ tsp of cinnamon powder and 1 tsp of honey with 1 cup of warm milk. Drink before going to bed. Massage your feet with lukewarm mustard oil 2-3 times a day and before going to bed. Take 1 teaspoon each of brahmi and ashwagandha powder in 2 cups of water, boil and reduce it to one cup and drink it daily in the morning to reduce headache.

      In today’s fast-paced world with the increased usage of convenience foods, fast foods and decreased physical activity, weight management has a very important place.Weight-gain occurs, when the daily intake of calories is greater than what is required and when a person does not do enough exercise to burn the calories consumed in food. In most of the developed and developing countries, 50 percent of the population suffers from malnutrition.Malnutrition includes not only under-nutrition but also over-nutrition. Persons who are plump and stout seem healthy but they are actually not. Due to abundant availability of food and increased economic status, parents buy their children whatever they ask for to eat. Children are generally influenced by the colourful ads from the media. Daily intake of unbalanced diet, indulging in sedentary activities like video games and TV and long hours of tuitions become a contributing factor for developing obesity and other non communicable diseases in the future.

Obesity refers to the amount of fat that gets deposited over the body parts particularly around the waist and hip region. Because of this, people weigh more than they should.


How can we know whether a person is obese?


There is a simple way. By subtracting 100 from your height (cm), you can obtain your ideal body weight. There is one more way which requires a little mathematical calculation. That is your BMI {Body Mass Index = Weight in kg/ height * height (m2)}.  In order to check these values, consult your nutritionist for guidance.


What are the reasons for obesity?

Family history, dietary errors, sedentary lifestyle, hormonal imbalance and mental disturbances are the main contributing factors. When the parents or grandparents are obese, children acquire their obesity gene and become obese.


Some people continue to eat even after satiety has set in. Just for relishing the taste, they ignore the signal sent by the brain to stop eating. Some nibble their snacks once in half an hour and move towards food when they are depressed. Because of these, they eat more than they require leading to weight gain.

Sedentary lifestyle is the second important factor contributing to weight gain. Now a days, children no longer walk to school. Mechanization has made us lazy. Our physical activities are replaced by machines. To burn the calories, you need to do some form of exercise.


What are the health effects of obesity?

      Obese persons are prone to non communicable diseases like diabetes, heart diseases, cancer, osteoporosis, stress, obstructive sleep apnoea, etc.


How to control or prevent obesity?
We need to rely on 4 pillars
       1. Diet
        2. Exercise
        3. Lifestyle modification
         4. Medication

Diet:
Choose low calorie foods and fibre rich foods. Most of the low calorie foods are rich in fibre.

1. Instead of having plain idly/ dosa, make vegetable idly, vegetable dosa or uthappam.
2. Use whole wheat bread instead of white bread
3. Make chapati out of soya, oats, bajra and ragi.
4. Tofu can be used in place of paneer
5. Prefer buttermilk and  lemon juice over high calorie beverages or cool drinks
6.Replace snacks with salads
7. Have small frequent meals.
8.    Eat in a calm environment


Physical activity:

Regular walking is recommended. Inculcate a hobby that involves more physical activity. Instead of watching a cricket match in TV, go and play outside yourself.  It relaxes your mind too. Excuses are not excusable!

To follow these, you need to get motivated to change your lifestyle. You must have control over yourself. Making a lifestyle change will give long term benefits not only to you, but also to the future generations.

Hi lybrate-user, Try this home remedy first. Dates 3 Almonds 4 Whole Cardamom 2 Fennel Seeds1 teaspoon Soak the above ingredients over night. Drain the water out and peel the cardamom and almonds. Add ½ cup of water and some ghee. Then blend all in a blender. Have with bread as Jam. You will get results in 4 weeks. It will increase your digestive power as well as your weight. Natural remedies/Home tips for Unwanted Facial Hair:
1.Lemon juice is a natural bleaching agent. Mix gram pulse flour (besan), wheat flour, milk cream, a few drops of fresh lemon juice, mustard oil and water together. Rub this paste in circular movements and wash it off. Do it regularly. Start this treatment from an early age as hair is soft and fine at that time.
2.Mix sugar, water and lemon juice to a thick paste. Apply it and wash it off when it dries. Do this once a week to prevent hair growth.
3.Mix 2 tsp of barley powder with little milk, few drops of fresh lemon juice and make a paste. Apply it on your face, remain for 15 minutes and wash it off with warm water. If done regularly, you can get of fine facial hair.
4.Take equal quantities of moong dal powder, neem leaves powder, kasturi manjal powder and few kuppai meni leaves. Grind it to a paste with very less water. Apply on skin and leave it to dry. After 15-20 minutes, scrub your face gently in the direction of hair growth to remove unwanted fine hair.
These natural remedies, if followed regularly, discourage hair growth over a period of time. It also helps to get rid of very fine facial hair on upper lips and chin.
Electrolysis and laser treatment are also effective ways to remove hair and reduce hair growth but should be done by licensed professionals in that field.

Hi Yes it is safe. But check your kidney and liver function frequently as the dose needs to be adjusted if there is any derangement in the kidney and liver function test.

avoid day time sleep, avoid tea coffee cola in evening and after. 8 hours sleep is ok. 10 pm to 6 am is good timing.avoid stress. take balanced diet.

Sir you may see weight loss if you have fruit diet for 1 week. But what after that? you will gain weight again once you take normal diet again. It is not the solution for your problem. You can follow some tips in daily routine. 1. After every meal, drink 1 cup boiling water with spoon sip by sip. After half an hour you have taken meal do this daily. 2. Try to avoid eating heavy food after 7 pm. As it takes time to digest heavy food. 3. Drink 1 glass water half an hour before meal. 4. Try to do some exercise. Yoga and meditation are very good in losing weight and maintaining it also. Yoga asanas you can do - manduk asana - sarwang asana - setubal asana - pawan mukht asana pranayama -anulom vilom -deep breathing - kapal bhati other exercises -crunches -cycling -leg rotation

Don't use lemon juice on hair as it contains citric acid which is harmful to hair. Take proper tretment of dandruff. It is easily treatable by selsun shampoo once every week.

It is a known fact that the human body requires natural sugar for it to have energy and benefit the body but, when examined, It was found that we consume more of refined sugar. Foods that we buy from markets or shops outside contains large quantities of this refined component but once we know what happens to our body and choose to stop eating sugar completely, those mouth-watering savories will no longer allure us.

Read on to know what happens to your body when you ignore sugar completely-

  1. Glow with the healthy glossy skin: Those pastry donuts and sweets will tempt you for sure, but once you cut them of blatantly, you are bound to notice a vibrant glow on your skin. This is because sugar tends to disrupt the elastin content and intervenes with collagen buildup.
  2. High on energy: Excess sugar consumption tends to make you feel fatigued and sluggish. So ignoring it can give you the power you deserve. Also, it does reduce your chances of having diabetes to almost half.
  3. Vibrant Mood: It might seem paradoxical, but it is true. Having chocolates or sweets can make us feel happy, but the feeling is temporary. On the longer and more permanent page, once you overcome the craving phase you will notice a change in your mood. Stopping sugar completely will get you rid of this completely. You feel much more active and healthy.
  5. Quality Sleep: If you cut down sugar intake you can have a better sleep. This is because cutting of sugar has link-ups to getting relief from insomnia.
  6. Balanced weight: When you cut down sugar intake, you consume a lot less calorie thus making your system free of harmful substances and toxins. Sugary foods contain carbohydrates and fat contents that make your body obese and tired. Removing sugar will help you gain a balanced weight and make you fat-free which in its course is a relief as you shun of majority risks of having ailments related to weight issues.

Quitting sugar completely can be a real-time pain as it is almost a primeval addiction more like smoking but once it is shunned of you can experience and feel the bliss that you will be going through. You need to try different form of work out like yoga, jogging, squats etc. Mean while few tips for you are- start eating small frequent meals and don't skip any meals specially breakfast. Include whole grains and use atta with bran take high fibre diet which include lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Drink atleast 10-12 glasses of water. Avoid drinking calories in form of juices and carbonated drinks. Avoid eating junk food, fried food and maida products. Try to eat home made food as much as possible. Move yourself use stairs, walk to near by places instead of using any vehicle include at least 45-60 minutes workout in your routine. Take sound sleep of at least 7-8 hours. Manage stress keep positive frame toward life appreciate yourself as it is not going to happen overnight. Consult me online for better results.
