Overweight problems are always related to high blood pressure and anxiety. Anxiety is one of the most distressing emotions because of the co related physiology is so severe - heart pounding, stomach churning, shaking, dizziness and variety of other symptoms give you further cause to worry. The physical symptoms of anxiety play a great part in this over estimation of threat perception, as they are seen themselves as significant indicators that something is seriously wrong. Participating in physical activity reduces these symptoms. Meditation and relaxation therapy are also useful. Mindfulness exercises help a lot in anxiety related issues.

For your first query, you apparently know that size does not matter yet you say that everyone wishes to have a large penis! You can't go around fulfilling your wishes just for the sake of it. Anyway, penis size cannot be increased. Sleepiness after intercourse is normal because of the effort and the feeling of fulfillment and tiredness: quite normal. To increase duration try out kegel exercises and if that does not help you could do with some medication. You may also try a second round of intercourse which will take a longer time. You could even explore a third time after sufficient breaks and that will surely delay the ejaculation.

What are the best foods, exercises and practices if any for improving memory power and concentration?

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hi, Take homoeopathic medicine for increasing memory - Anacardium 200/ once daily. Management: -Meditate for at least 15 to 30 minutes each day physically changes your brain, making you less anxious, and more rational and empathetic. -Besides increasing your physical strength and flexibility, yoga changes your brain. Research suggests that in addition to reducing stress, anxiety, and depression, yoga protects the brain from shrinking with age. -Exercise daily as it would can help offset the cognitive decline brought on by aging and increasingly sedentary lifestyles. -Get enough sleep. On average, adults need between 7.5 and 9 hours of sleep each night. When you aren’t getting enough sleep, it affects your brain’s ability to do this, and your memory suffers. -Spend time with people whose company you enjoy, and who make you feel like the best version of you. -laughter can improve short-term memory in older adults. -Cutting down on your use of technology (i. E. Sitting in front of your computer, phone, or tablet) for even 30 minutes can improve your brain health and help you think more deeply. Homoeopathic medicines are very effective for increasing concentration and if done with yoga, will give you great results! But practice the following poses if you don’t have any medical condition or pregnancy or else take an advice from your concern doctor and then only perform these. 1. Shashankasana: Sit in Vajrasana with hands on the thighs. The upper body is straight and relaxed. Inhaling raise both arms above the head. Exhaling keep the back straight and bend upper body and arms forward from the hips, until arms and forehead touch the floor. The buttocks remain on the heels. Breathing normally remain in this position for a while. Relax the whole body, especially the shoulders, neck and back. Inhaling keep the back straight and raise the upper body and arms. Exhaling return to the starting position. Practice the exercise 3 times in total. Remain bending forward for sometime and consciously perceive the movement of the breath on the spine. 2. Virasana: Sit in Vajrasana. Hands rest on the thighs and the body is relaxed. Bring the left foot beside the right knee with the sole of the foot flat on the floor. Place the left elbow on the left knee and rest the chin in the hand. Right hand rests on the right thigh. Tuck the toes of the right foot under. The right knee remains in contact with the floor. Transfer the weight onto the right heel. Concentrate on a fixed point in front. Breathing normally remain in this position for as long as comfortable. Return to the starting position. Repeat on the other side. 3. Sit in Vajrasana. Body is straight and hands rest on the thighs. Relax the whole body. Inhaling stretch the arms above the head, then bring them behind the back and grasp the left wrist with the right hand. Exhaling bend the body forward from the hips, keeping the back straight, until the forehead touches the floor. The buttocks remain on the heels. Breathing normally concentrate on the whole body and relax. Remain in this position for as long as comfortable. Inhaling slowly bring the body upright. At the same time stretch the arms above the head. Exhaling return to the starting position.

I feel really depressed about every small thing and have been prone to crying for every little thing that goes wrong. I do not feel right about anything and can not sleep either. Whenever I sleep I sometimes loose my breath and sometimes experience voices behind me. I can not make decisions properly and i'm able to concentrate or understand anything. What is happening to me?

I feel really depressed about every small thing and have been prone to crying for every little thing that goes wrong....
You need to consult any professional for proper diagnosis and reason of your problem.in the meantime you can try few things which will help you. Take proper sleep of 7-8 hours try to avoid sleep at day time. Its in our hand to be happy what it requires is slightly change in your approach ,stop thinking that something is wrong with me I am not well make yourself as much busy as you can so that you don't get time to think on all this. And its everyone's right is to be happy we cannot change the thinking of people or situation around us but we can get the things or reasons which make us happy, what we can do is to live every second of life, what do you want to be, what do you want to eat, to do, your career, your friends, your likings etc. Develop some hobby, make some good friends, make yourself busy, as much you will think you will get frustrate and will gain nothing, live only for yourself, and this can be possible when you will involve yourself in some other things ,the main concept is that make yourself as much busy as you can so that you don't get free time to think on this. First start from joining any hobby class and make any good friend with whom you can share everything ,do some yoga and meditation, expand your social circle. Take care.

It must be frustrating and demotivating for you to repeatedly" not clear" the exam. Please notice that I said" not clear" instead of failing, because you seem to be associating this failure with your personal failure, which is actually not true. You are much more and beyond the passing and failing in an exam. Humans have unlimited potential out of which we use only 5-7%. Rest is untapped. Clearing your exam is not the only way to achieve your success and happiness. Try to create more situations where you get to learn more and utilise your learning. It is common knowledge that, public exams like banking and ias have few seats available but applicants are in lakhs. Usually such students, create a plan b and plan c, where in they have already thought of another job or course to take up so that their learning and earning doesn't stop. Your knowledge and learning will not go waste. Find out where else it can be applied eg. Ias students learn more about current affairs, general knowledge and govt policies for establishments and organisations. Even if they don't get a govt job, they can apply in private sector or start their own business. Set up a time frame within which you try a set number of times. If you don't get through. Leave it and move on. Life doesn't stop for anyone. People who are flexible and adaptable are successful, people who don't adapt get left out. I'm sure that you would have heard of" survival of the fittest" theory by charles darwin. You must understand what are your strengths and in which fields you would do your best. Think of those moments when you were doing your best and felt the happiest and lively. Many researchers have proved that if you find out what is your" calling" then you will do your best, feel content and satisfied and experience good physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. I suggest that you take out time to understand what you excel at. Maybe not getting through this exam is a boon in disguise.

Being in a medical field you know that how your mind and body are connected. And how your thoughts are affecting your actions. One thing is for sure that you are very intelligent and committed person. You also sound very sincere as well as sensitive. I have worked wit medical students for almost a decade. Please try fee things I am mentioning below. When our mind is hooked into past it is normal to have lot of negative thoughts and in turn feeling low. The good news is that our mind could be wired to switch back to positive things and resilience building. We have immense potential within us and we could tap into those one step at a time, one day at a time. When things does not happen as we wish or people do not behave as we expect that is when out of disappointment, frustration, loneliness, anger, sadness. Etc we react and our mind starts thinking negative thoughts. Changing this pattern of responding to stressful situation requires both persistence and patience. Also you will only be able to work on this out of love and kindness towards you. Strong motivation will go a long way. Writing a statement about how would you want to respond in a similar situation and how will your life and your happiness will change if you do learn to manage your stress and how to respond to it. Once that is clear. Try following things to learn relaxation response which leads to better coping mechanism on a daily basis. To begin with doing guided progressive muscular relaxation before sleeping will help you relax. You could google and download an audio file. I would also suggest you to take a multiple small break to take 3 nice and deep breath while keeping your eyes closed. You could do this while sitting or standing or while even walking or climbing stairs (keep your eyes open in that case). When you take a nice and deep break there is actual physiological change in your body. This will help you to activate parasympathetic nervous system which promotes relaxation and helps you calm down and think more clearly. This will also actually improve your performance in your work. Along with this exercise is one of the best way to relive stress and stay fit. Engage in any kind of physical activity at least 4 times a week. This also helps in stress reduction. Along with this some relaxation exercises as well as engaging in joyful activities such as music, singing, dancing, reading, being in nature, gardening, talking with friends or anything which you enjoy will help reducing stress and rejuvenation of your mind and body. Have good routine for sleep and eating. Lot of research has now proven that sugar is very harmful for our health. Reduce sugar and refined white floor in your diet as much as you could. Along with this also increase consumption of raw vegetables in the form of salad in both the meals of your day. Let me. Know if you need any further help. Hope this helps wishing you very best.

How to remove negative thoughts

Darkness is absence of light and similarly negative thoughts are absence of positive thoughts. The answer to negative thoughts is to bring positive thoughts back. Ideal mind is devils workshop and will always think negative. Here are the ways by which you can remove negative thoughts.
Think differently as taught by Adi Shankaracharya. Once Menaka approached Arjuna with lust and said that she wanted to have a son like him with him. Arjuna said that why wait for 25 years, consider me as you son from today.
Think opposite as taught by Patanjali. For example, if you are thinking of stealing, then silently start thinking of charity.
Think positive as taught by Buddha. Make a list of positive actions to be done today the first thing in the morning and concentrate on that list. Divert your mind to the pending jobs in hand. This is a type of behavioral therapy.

Dear , you are just 20 and you should concentrate more on your education and career rather than worrying about affairs. You can go and talk to her and tell her your intentions. If she agree, fine. If not, forget it and concentrate on your education. I think one or two telephone counseling sessions with me should provide you with insight to your problem and tips to over come it. I feel that I am unable to memorize anything for long. Can it be improve. Either by medicine or yoga.

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd
Psychologist, Bangalore
Yoga is definitely helpful. However you could be under some stress and that could be causing a loss of memory. Meet with a counselor and do sort that out for some noteworthy results. Here are some things you can do to get back your concentration and memory: Daily exercise of at least half an hour is a must. Even if you go to a gym, ask for aerobic and/or callisthenic exercises with whatever else you are doing. A healthy body harbors a healthy mind. With regard to memory, it is very important that your brain and body is ideally rested to be able to recall whatever is required, rather comfortably. Puzzles pose problems to the brain that help it to use new pathways and neurons, which give the brain considerable exercise. It taxes the left brain to use logic to solve the myriad possibilities which other activities do not stimulate. Crosswords are excellent for vocabulary learning and use. Jigsaws and Rubik cube stimulate different permutations to finally settle on the most likely one. Picture completion and anagrams help approach problem solving from several angles. Do Sudoku, and memory co-relation activities and skills. Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber (whole grains, fruits and vegetables), nuts, avocado, eat dark chocolate, consume less of fat and use olive oil instead, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. You need to check out if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Have a special place of learning, which should be well lit, with soft painted walls, well-ventilated, with no distractions. When you get bored, study by writing. If you repeat learning at least five to seven times, you will apparently remember for a longer time. Sit comfortably but do not slouch. The reading material should be of a fairly large print. Study at small intervals of about 40 minutes and then take a break or change the subject. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. There is a new exercise called Super Brain Yoga, which is done by holding the right earlobe with your left thumb and index finger, and the left earlobe with your right hand’s thumb and index finger. In this position you must squat down and rise up and do this for five minutes every day. If your home life is full of distractions and stress, it is likely to affect your memory, adversely. In that case, I suggest that the family goes for counseling too. The following foods do help too: Blueberries, walnuts, turmeric, Spinach, tomatoes, broccoli, acorn squash, green tea, oily fish, boiled egg, turkey, apples, oatmeal, leafy greens, lentils, pumpkin seeds, avocado, cinnamon, thyme, sunflower seeds, and red wine. Avoid sugar and junk food.

Dear lybrate user. I can understand. There is nothing much you can do to solve this problem yourself. You need to quit gutkha first. The best option is to use your will power and pledge never to restart it again. Secondly, please make sure to take deaddiction therapy. Thirdly consult a reconstructive surgeon to correct your jaw muscles. Take care.

How to get rid of this smoke I have become chain smoker I light approximately 10 cigarettes per day what to do I am willing to leave it but I have not been able to leave please.

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd
Psychologist, Bangalore
You just need to leave it because you are smoking way too much for your age. I do not know the extent of damage already done but you can surely stop further injury and live a good and healthy life hereafter. You will feel like you cannot but it is your perseverance that will finally see you through. You have to quit cold turkey because the body and mind will torture you endlessly while attempting reduction in smoking. The tobacco tar in cigarette smoke lines your lung with huge patches that make that portion dysfunctional. Your oxygen carrying capacity is jeopardized, and breathing is impinged. But don’t be discouraged because it is not too late even now to reverse all the ill-effects of smoking. I don’t know what other organs could be damaged but do go for a thorough medical check up to assess the effects of your abuse. Regarding improving your lungs, do a lot of aerobic exercise breathing through your nostrils only. Then there are a lot of deep breathing exercises in Yoga which you can learn too. Deep breathing cleanses your system and lungs and restores it to good health. Deep breathing uses the 80% of the lungs which are not normally used in normal breathing and even when exerting yourself. The greatest effect is in the lungs because this substance is processed through the respiratory system directly through the lung surface. When quitting, you must take one day at a time; though you must give up all smoking at once, and promptly. If you look too far ahead you will get discouraged and will give up. If you sit and count the number of days you have given up, that will also focus too much on achievement. You must focus on the here and now, on that day to be precise. After all quitting is not that easy due to many factors. So even if you fail one day, you must try and try again. Very few people succeed in their first attempt. Your persistence will eventually pay off. The urge to discontinue is hampered by many factors but the worst of them is the conditioning. In fact these conditions can exist all through the day unlike other addictions. But your desire to want to stop is the most important factor. It is important to find out about the ill-effects of smoking to have a reason that alarms you about continuing in the habit. The information is really scary but true and you must remind yourself about this every day. The nicotine in tobacco smoke stimulates the heart beat to raise the blood pressure in no time at all. So you must avoid it like the plague: it is just very bad medicine for you. In fact it is highly toxic too. You will need to stop smoking or consuming any tobacco related items with immediate effect. You should start vigorous exercises, gradually increasing it over a period of time. Do deep breathing exercises every time you feel like smoking (try Yoga), and replace the oral urge with some healthy food substitute to satiate the need. You may also take hard candy or chewing gum. If the urge is too strong, then use nicotine gums and nicotine patches, for a little while until the smoking drive reduces, substantially. You may also join Smokers Anonymous in your city where the support is really extraordinary for like-minded people who are also in the same situation. Keep yourself occupied or engaged with interesting activities during the times when it is most tempting. Keep the company of non-smokers for some time i.e. at least for the first 21 days. Above all announce it to everyone that you have quit smoking. Here’s a piece of very good advice: even if you accidentally/willfully take a cigarette, it is not the end of the world – you can start the cessation all over again. You must persevere with the best support until you defeat this addiction. Counseling is very useful in the initial stages and when temptations are at their highest.
