Hi, I'm getting pain on my arm while playing badminton. I'm not able to play more than two games. If I'm taking rest for couple of hours it will go. And if I'm playing next day the pain will come again.

Hi lybrate-user it's because of muscle strain. Start applying ice over that part. Take a week rest. In that week you need to start applying ice over that part for 5 mins. Can apply an additional supporter. Either a supporter or taping can be done. Can visit a physiotherapist if still it's not subsided. Regards.

Hi lybrate-user minimal disc bulge is quite common. If it's low back pain always start following these steps. 1. Identify why it's happening. May be faulty posture, sitting without back rest. Start taking back rest 2. Use proper lifting techniques. Don't bend from spine. Instead bend from knees. 3. Apply hot water pack for 10 mins 4. Lie down on tummy and a pillow place on your chest and relax for 10 mins. Use this position for taking hot water bag. It relaxes those muscles. 5. Need to start doing McKenzie exercises. It's nothing but back strengthening exercises step by step. For more queries contact us. Regards.

Hi lybrate-user its mainly cause due to Overuse of a muscle, dehydration, muscle strain or simply holding a position for a prolonged period can cause a muscle cramp. 1 avoid dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids. 2. Stretch your muscles. Particularly calf muscles. Light exercise, such as riding a stationary bicycle for a few minutes before bedtime, also may help prevent cramps while you're sleeping. Regards.

Good morning doctor. I run 5 km daily on CONCRETE ROAD. What I have heard from my friend is that running on concrete road is not good for knees. It creates problems related to knees over the period of time. Do you also agree? Could you please comments & suggest care to be taken during running? Thanks in advance.

Hi lybrate-user our feets are designed in such a way that it's not advisable to run in concrete roads barefoot. Use a branded sports shoe it will solve your problem as it's ergonomically designed to reduce stress over your leg. N more over if you are doing regular leg exercises than no need to worry. Running will strengthen your legs. In case of pain or any other sign than only you need to seek medical advice. Regards.

Hi it's seems your knees are very weak and it's difficult for both of your knees to support your body weight efficiently. Best way is to strengthen your knee muscles by doing hams and quads exercises. Add knee rotators strengthening too. Sequence for rehab is 1. Warm up your lower body especially knee properly. 2. Do some selective stretching 3. Strengthening phase exercises now 4. Cool down this sequence you need to start rehab. For more details and clarification get an online consultation and get proper guidelines and step wise rehab. Regards.

Hi lybrate-user if it's still paining from 6 months need to evaluate yourself properly. Neck if it's strained can take one x-ray cervical spine AP and lateral view. Along with that need to see which muscle is strained. Need to treat that muscle. 1. Maintain a good posture esp neck. 2. Take hot water bag to get relief from pain. 3. Specefic exercises eg. Isometric exs if it's required. For more accurate diagnosis get a online text, video or audio consultation done. Regards.
