Smoking (nicotine) reduces hunger. If you stop smoking, you will feel hungry and eat more. Apart from eating well, stopping smoking has more health benefits. So try to stop smoking. If you need help to stop, please come on text or audio counselling.

Hi I will prescribe some flower remedies available in all homoeopathy shops. These medicine have no side effects and harmless. Mix 12 drops of scleranthus + 7 drops of white chestnut + 7 drops clematis + 7 drops cherry plum + 7 drops aspen. Mix these well in a small bottle. Consume orally by mouth 20 drops of mixture by adding 50 ml water. Take this every 12 hours. This problem is because of confusion in mind. It can be cured by the above medicine. Let me know about the result.

Hi lybrate-user, Practice jacobs progressive muscle relaxation: This progressive muscle relaxation script relaxes your body and your mind. This relaxation technique starts by tensing one muscle group for five to 10 seconds. Then the same muscle group is relaxed letting the muscle go limp for 15-20 seconds. When I use this progressive muscle relaxation script with clients I find that this relaxation technique creates a deep sense of physical relaxation. Find a quiet place that is comfortable for you. Practice at a regular time during the day. Preferably not after you have eaten Find a comfortable position. If you are sitting, then keep your back straight and feet flat on the floor. If lying down (the preferred option as your body is supported by the floor) then you can put a pillow beneath your knees for extra support. Adopt a passive attitude to PMR. When tensing muscles (without straining), do so for roughly 5 seconds. When you relax your muscles do so for roughly 15-20 seconds before progressing to the next muscle group. Tense each muscle group once before progressing. Progressive muscle relaxation script Start out with a few relaxing breaths. Use the diaphragmatic breath, and as you exhale feel the tension begin to ebb away. Clench your fists. Move your awareness to your hands. Clench both of your fists for up to 5 seconds. Release for 15-20 seconds, imagining the tension ebbing out of your hands. Tighten your biceps. Move your attention to your arms. Draw your forearms toward your shoulders, creating a bicep. Hold for up to 5 seconds and then release for 15-20 seconds. As you release and imagine the tension flowing out of your biceps. Forehead and scalp. Move your attention to your forehead. As you inhale lift your eyebrows and wrinkle your forehead. Hold for up to 5 seconds and then release for 15-20 seconds. As you release, feel the relaxation of the muscles of the forehead. Facial muscles. Move your attention to your facial muscles. Furrow your eyebrows and purse your lips. Try to pull all of your facial muscles towards your nose. Hold for up to 5 seconds and then release for 15-20 seconds. As you release feel the relaxation of the facial muscles. Jaw. Bring your attention to your jaw. Clench your jaw tightly, feeling the tension in the surrounding muscles. Hold for up to 5 seconds and then release for 15-20 seconds. Relax the muscles and allow the tension to disappear. You may feel your mouth begin to open a little. Neck and shoulders. Now bring your awareness this region. Shrug your shoulders towards your ears. Feel the tension in the surrounding muscles. Hold for up to 5 seconds and then release for 15-20 seconds. Feel the tension in the muscles ebb away. Upper back/shoulders. Now bring your awareness between the shoulder blades. Push your shoulder blades back as if you were trying to get them to touch. Feel the tension in the surrounding muscles. Hold for up to 5 seconds and then release for 15-20 seconds. Feel the tension in between the shoulder blades ebb away. Upper chest. Now bring your awareness to your upper chest. Tighten the chest muscles and hold. Feel the tension in the upper chest muscles. Hold for up to 5 seconds and then release for 15-20 seconds. Feel the tension in the chest muscles flow away. Stomach. Now bring your awareness to your navel area. Try to draw your navel in to your backbone. Feel your stomach muscles tighten. Hold for up to 5 seconds and then release for 15-20 seconds. Feel the tension in the abdominal muscles dissipate. Buttocks. Now bring your awareness to your buttocks area. Squeeze your buttocks together, consciously tightening the muscles in this region. Hold, hold hold…and now release for 15-20 seconds. Feel the tension in these muscles disappear. Thighs. Now bring your awareness to your thigh muscles. Try not to contract your stomach muscles as you consciously tighten your upper thigh muscles. Hold, hold hold…and now release for 15-20 seconds. Feel the tension in the thigh muscles dissipate. Calves. Now bring your focus to your calf muscles. Consciously tighten your calf muscles by pointing your toes. Hold, hold hold…and now release for 15-20 seconds. Feel the tension in the calf muscles flow away. Feet. Now bring your focus of attention to your feet. Tighten your feet by curling your toes toward the ground. Hold, hold and hold some more…and now release for 15-20 seconds. Feel the tension in the feet flow away. Mentally scan your body for any residual tension. If you find a muscle group with residual tension then tense and relax this area again. Feel a wave of relaxation, from the top of your head to the tip of your toes. When you are ready bring your awareness back to your breath and slowly open your eyes. This entire progressive muscle relaxation sequence should take you 15-25 minutes.

Hello, parkinsons is a progressive disease of the nervous system marked by tremor, muscular rigidity, and slow, imprecise movement, chiefly affecting middle-aged and elderly people. It is associated with degeneration of the basal ganglia of the brain and a deficiency of the neurotransmitter dopamine. Consult a good homoeopath for the proper treatment. He will take a complete case history of your father and then accordingly give him a perfect suitable medication. Thanks.

Then let me know the results after 15 days through private chat on Lybrate. Reasons why people start to use tobacco: -On a dare to show that you are not timid or afraid. -To fit with the crowd (all my friends do it) -To appear sophisticated or cool -To be grown-up -To assert your independence -As a sign of protest, rebellion, or to defy authority -Free samples from friends or advertisers -Influences from people you respect and admire -Parents or relatives smoked -Images of famous actors, movie stars, or role models -Famous sports players who use chewing tobacco or smoking cigarettes. -Famous scientists (Einstein is the prototype of intellectual smokers. -He looks so proud with a pipe in his mouth.) -Portrayals by cigarette advertisements -To calm your nerves -As a kind of “air freshener” when using the toilet -Adverse effects of Smoking. -Heart disease. Smoking is responsible for 30 percent of all heart attacks and cardiovascular deaths. -Cancer. It is responsible for 30 percent of all cancer deaths and 87 percent of lung cancer deaths each year. -Lung problems. Smoking is responsible for 82 percent of deaths due to emphysema and chronic bronchitis. -Smoking delays healing of peptic ulcers of the stomach and duodenum. - Its effects on blood vessels cause chronic pains in the legs (claudication) which can progress to gangrene and amputations of the toes or feet. -Causes wrinkling of the skin of the face to develop earlier in chronic smokers. On average they look 5 years older than non-smokers of the same age do. -It impairs erections in middle-aged and older men and may affect the quality of their sperm. It seems to “sedate” sperm and to impair their motility. This is reversed after stopping smoking. -Smoking accelerates the rate of osteoporosis, a disease which causes bones to weaken and fracture more easily.

Dear Rajat, Depression is also a nervous disease, Rajat. It needs treatment for a long time with antidepressant tablets and therapy. Head becoming warm and scintillating is also common in depression. Antidepressants need to be given at an adequate dose. Sometimes it has to be combined with mood stabiliser drugs or tranquilizers. For all these things you need to meet your doctor repeatedly. Please continue to do that before you get more problems in your life. All the best.

How can I increase my memory power, I can not remember things which are said to me just 5 minutes ago?

BASM, MD, MS (Counseling & Psychotherapy), MSc - Psychology, Certificate in Clinical psychology of children and Young People, Certificate in Psychological First Aid, Certificate in Positive Psychology

Dear Sayed, Welcome to lybrate. Memory and mind power depends mainly on three aspects. Understanding, storage and recollection. To understand what you are studying, you must be able to be attentive or concentrate. Concentration is possible when you are interested in that subject. Creative way of learning can help you concentrate and understand easily. When you are able to understand and concentrate, it is stored within your brain. If you read more and more it will be store in long term memory. Third part is retrieval. Whenever you want to retrive what you learned and stored, your brain gets the request, searches the database and retrieves the information for you. The retrieval may prove to be difficult if you are anxious, stressed, worried or tired physically or mentally. Retrieval is more easy when you are relaxed and healthy. Brain needs nutrients to keep itself sharp. Fruits, vegetables and dry fruits provide much needed nutrients for your brain. Include at least one fruit in your daily diet. Physical exercises, entertainment, hobbies, relaxation, memory games like sudoku etc help keep your memory sharp and active. You may consult a psychologist online or in person for advice, counseling and therapy.Take care.

The slipperiness of the term stress is both an advantage and a disadvantage. It is advantageous because it is all-embracing and allows a synthesis of many aspects of life's experiences; it is disadvantageous because its referents are diverse. Stress refers both to a subject and a predicate, an event and the consequences of that event how to manage stress relaxation training relaxation skills can be very helpful in managing stress. Time management time-management methods are designed to help individuals restore a sense of balance to their lives. Problem solving problem solving is a skill that is introduced in the later stages of stress-management training. Cognitive restructuring a hallmark of cognitive-behavioral therapy is its insistence that cognition plays a central role in the stress and coping process. If you want to learn stress management. Dear lybrate user. I can understand. Addicion happens when you find any pleasure from this person. If you don't find any pleasure, addiction is not possible. What is the pleasure you are getting from this person? please let me know. Secondly, once the condition is so bad, you should come out of the relationship, for sure. Do not try to change his behavior. Instead, you try to change. I suggest online counseling and cognitive therapy to you. Take care.

The word depressed is a common everyday word. People might say" i'm depressed" when in fact they mean" i'm fed up because i've had a row, or failed an exam, or lost my job" etc. These ups and downs of life are common and normal. Most people recover quite quickly. With true depression, you have a low mood and other symptoms each day for at least two weeks, you seem to ne having severe depression from what you say. Consult a psychiatrist and get evaluated and remedy. All the best.

Hi Librate user Good to know, you are preparing for civil services exams and all the best for your exam. At first you should try to motivate yourself for your studies. Think about your successful friend or relatives and to be like them. Think of what you will achieve by studies. Tell yourself that after you achieve your goal, you will free to have fun. Try to take a short break after every hour. If your brain has to concentrate consistently for hours, at a time, it loses processing power and your cocentration power slips. Thanks.

An employee cannot terminate merely on the basis that a person suffers from psychiatric illness, it should be proved that because of the illness he is unfit for the job. If you go to court, if the company fires you citing psychiatric illnesss as the reason, the court will refer you to a government medical board comprising of psychiatrists for opinion. They will re assess you completely over a period of time and submit their report to the court, based on which the judge will decide. All the best.
