Dr. Vivek Logani has done extensive work in the field of joint replacements at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences. His total arthroplasty experience of more than 14 years includes more than 3500 joint replacements including more than 300 revision joint replacements. His major areas of sub-specialization are Computer Navigation for Joint Replacement, Complex Primary and Revision Joint Replacement of Knee, Hip, Shoulder and Elbow, Unicondylar Knee Replacement and Allograft Bone Banking. He has been one of the pioneers of computer navigation surgery, which is being performed at very few centres across India and abroad. His journey of computer navigation started in 2009 and he is one of the select few surgeons in India who perform 100% of knee replacement surgeries with navigation. He has successfully run two high volume centres prior to joining the Paras family in 2013. He has authored 3 chapters and more than 15 national and international publications. He has been a regular faculty for various arthroplasty courses and forums across India and abroad. He is actively involved in implant design in collaboration with a multinational organization. He is also carrying on a CT based pilot study to generate a sound database for knee anatomy of various subgroups of Asian patients which will be used to guide the implant design specifically suited for Asian patients. He have established a center of excellence for joint replacements at Paras Hospital with special focus on computer navigation, revision arthroplasty and bone bank.

Take ultrasound therapy and wax bath for 10 days. Then after continue remedial thigh muscles (quadriceps and hamstring) strengthening exercises for long time.

Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings.

Hello. Sitting for long hours doesnot warrant the chances of arthrites, instead there are definite causes for this disease. Basically the food which are spicy and that which vitiates blood can cause arthrites.

Arthritis is a term used for inflammation of joints, you have to specify what kind of arthritis you are talking about? usually dietary modifications will not lead to major changes in inflammatory cascade, but your diet must contain adequate amounts of calcium to keep bones healthy. Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Hi, your mother is over weight by 5 kg. She should follow the under noted tips. Go for a brisk walk in d morning. Go for meditation to nourish your cells and tissues including knee joins. Take, plenty of water to eliminate toxins. Go for aerobics under the guidance of a physiotherapy. Take, homoeo medicines: @ colchicum200- 6 pills, thrice a day. @ rhus tox 200-6 pills, thrice a day avoid, jerks, caffiene, junk food, sour, spicy, irritant & cold intake. Take care.
