Dear lybrate-user, First of all please please do not be enslaved by glamorous advertisement which tempt you to buy over the counter products. To increase in immunity of your child please try to suggested weight which I think is printed on Immunizations records of your child. Maintain suggested weight Keep check your child increase in height by every on an average of 5-6 CMS every year For good heights and weights give fresh prepared with love of mothers at home which your child need to grow spiritually stronger. And a very difficult task never give your child chocolate or sweet at night. Further you can consult me or any homoeopathic doctor to give you medicine to make sure your child immunity is maintained by homoeopathic medicine. Hopefully your questions is answered.

I'm getting married soon. I'm 33 years old. So I fear about the risk of Down's syndrome. I read that taking folic acid early would reduce the risk. I want to know if that is true and the dosage of folic acid to be taken.

General Physician,
Is the baby on bottle feeding. Then stop bottle feeding. You can give breast milk only. If you need to give other milk give it with spoon. Avoid bottle and nipple feeding. Next what medicine is being given. You need to add boiled water ( can be sweetened by adding raisins ) if fed on artificial milk. It has to be given by spoon and not bottle. Also need to screen for hypothyroidism. If you prefer private chat you can do it via this site. Happy parenting, regards.

Breat feeding encouraged upto one year. After this we recommend table diet to babies. To promote breast milk secretion first think is you need to cosume high protein low fat nutritious food in plenty. Commercially available items are not must to promote secretions. More oten it is just for some psychological satisfaction tomothers. Tin. Versicl. Is not related to the products you use.
