I have 11 months old baby, he had fever from 20/05/2015, we gave antibiotic as per prescribed by doctor after 8 days my baby again suffering fever. His chest is clear and no cold and cough sign. I gave pacimal drop and his temperature came down, but his head still little bit hot eye also little bit redness. What should I do?

M.D.( Pediatrics), DCH
Pediatrician,
Measure the body temperature with thermometer. If it is normal, nothing to be done for bit hot head and bit red eyes. It will be alright within few days time.

Get urine culture done and accordingly give full course of antibiotic. If male child, get usg abdomen done to see any congenital anomaly of urinary tract, as it is not common to have uti in males.

Hi, start giving your baby milk formula specially meant for them (nestle's lactogen or nan pro), initially give once day daily then increase the no. Of frequency gradually to 2-3 times a day as after 6 months onwards, you can introduce liquid food like'daal ka paani'chaawal ka paani' ********consult your gynaecologist or paediatrician*******

Give semisolid and solid foods, not to be very diluted, don't make her lie down/ sleep at least for 20 mins after feeds, feed in an upright position.

My son is14 years old and still he has problem of bed wetting what should I do for him.

MD - Homeopathy
Pediatrician, Mumbai
You can start with first restriction of any liquid intake 2hrs before bed time. He has to be trained daily by telling him to get up at night as the alarm rings. This will train his brain as alarm techniques really work very well to control bed wetting and can also start with bladder exercises to tone the bladder muscles.

Hi my child has fever since last two days, so I give her meftal-p suspension but it's not given me satisfactory results kindly Help.

MD Pediatrics
Pediatrician, Vadodara
first of all ideally you should have given paracetamol first for fever and not meftal-p. second thing in children the dose varies as per weight of the child. you should show to a doctor to find the cause of fever and then get medicines prescribed from him in right doses

Which is best protein for 3 year old child and best food, energy drink. Please suggest something for that.

Which is best protein for 3 year old child and best food, energy drink. Please suggest something for that.
Egg is the best protein. A balanced diet that includes carbohydrates (from rice, wheat etc, proteins (from egg, pulses, milk, fish etc, fat (from oil, vitamins and minerals (from vegatables and fruits) in right proportion is the best food. Personally I don't recommend any one particular brand as best energy drink.
