I have to most big problem to my hight plss help mee. Wht can I do my age just only 21 year old.
height is usually always dominated by genetics. How short are your parents? if you are their size or slightly taller then them, chances are you won't grow very much more. There are no amazing magic ways to get taller. Get lots of nutrition and calcium. Get tons of calcium. Bigger bones means bigger you. Work out and play sports alot. Also greatly emphasize stretching. Posture is also important. Walk as tall and as straight as possible and over time this will add a handful of centimetres to your height. Take ashwagandha powder 2-2 tsf twice a day and lakshadi guggul 1-1 tab twice a day with warm water.

Dear sir, I am sure you are under the care of good doctors. Please continue their advice until 6 months after the stroke. If you are not happy with their treatment, I would suggest you see a new locally available neurophysician who will examine you and get some tests done.

I am 23 years old male and recently encountered a fracture in my palm. The bone connected to my little finger got fractured in angular manner. Shall I go for a POP or a surgery where a wire will be inserted?

Fellowship in Neurological Rehabilitation, BPTh/BPT
Physiotherapist, Gurgaon
Hi, all dislocations or fracture dislocations should to be put back in joint (reduced) and held in joint until healed. Sometimes the injury will pop back into joint and be stable enough to hold in a plaster cast. If so they need careful supervision with repeat x-rays for 2-3 weeks from injury to make sure they do not slip out again. If the joint is not that stable it will need to be held with 1-3 wires passed through the skin known as k wires. These usually protrude through the skin so they can easily be removed in the outpatient's clinic. Some surgeons will bury the wires under the skin. Only occasionally is open surgery required i. E. A formal cut is made on the back of the hand over the injury. The wires typically remain in place for 4-5 weeks. During this time the fracture and wires will need support in a plaster cast either a full cast or a partial cast. Any fingers or parts of fingers not held by the plaster should be moved to reduce stiffness. Most patients do very well following these injuries. After an immobilization period, rehabilitative exercises should be performed to regain strength and mobility and to minimize chronic pain and stiffness. Thanks.

Hi Sir. How to increase self confidence please tell me the best way for increasing self confidence sir.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
Try some of the tips listed below. Don't just read them and put them on the back burner. Really begin to practice them daily, beginning today. You might have to fake it at first and merely appear to be self-confident, but eventually you will begin to feel the foundation of self-confidence grow within you. With some time and practice (this is not an overnight phenomenon), you too can be a self-confident person, both inside and out, whom others admire and say "Yes!" to. 1. Stay away from negativity and bring on the positivity This is the time to really evaluate your inner circle, including friends and family. This is a tough one, but it's time to seriously consider getting away from those individuals who put you down and shred your confidence. Even a temporary break from Debbie Downer can make a huge difference and help you make strides toward more self-confidence. Be positive, even if you're not feeling it quite yet. Put some positive enthusiasm into your interactions with others and hit the ground running, excited to begin your next project. Stop focusing on the problems in your life and instead begin to focus on solutions and making positive changes. 2. Change your body language and image This is where posture, smiling, eye contact, and speech slowly come into play. Just the simple act of pulling your shoulders back gives others the impression that you are a confident person. Smiling will not only make you feel better, but will make others feel more comfortable around you. Imagine a person with good posture and a smile and you'll be envisioning someone who is self-confident. Look at the person you are speaking to, not at your shoes--keeping eye contact shows confidence. Last, speak slowly. Research has proved that those who take the time to speak slowly and clearly feel more self-confidence and appear more self-confident to others. The added bonus is they will actually be able to understand what you are saying. Go the extra mile and style your hair, give yourself a clean shave, and dress nicely. Not only will this make you feel better about yourself, but others are more likely to perceive you as successful and self-confident as well. A great tip: When you purchase a new outfit, practice wearing it at home first to get past any wardrobe malfunctions before heading out. 3. Don't accept failure and get rid of the negative voices in your head Never give up. Never accept failure. There is a solution to everything, so why would you want to throw in the towel? Make this your new mantra. Succeeding through great adversity is a huge confidence booster.Low self-confidence is often caused by the negative thoughts running through our minds on an endless track. If you are constantly bashing yourself and saying you're not good enough, aren't attractive enough, aren't smart enough or athletic enough, and on and on, you are creating a self-fulfilling prophecy. You are becoming what you are preaching inside your head, and that's not good. The next time you hear that negativity in your head, switch it immediately to a positive affirmation and keep it up until it hits the caliber of a self-confidence boost. 4. Be prepared Learn everything there is to know about your field, job, presentation--whatever is next on your "to conquer" list. If you are prepared, and have the knowledge to back it up, your self-confidence will soar. 5. For tough times, when all else fails: Create a great list Life is full of challenges and there are times when it's difficult to keep our self-confidence up. Sit down right now and make a list of all the things in your life that you are thankful for, and another list of all the things you are proud of accomplishing. Once your lists are complete, post them on your refrigerator door, on the wall by your desk, on your bathroom mirror--somewhere where you can easily be reminded of what an amazing life you have and what an amazing person you really are. If you feel your self-confidence dwindling, take a look at those lists and let yourself feel and be inspired all over again by you.

You may be having fluid behind the ear drum. Ear exam under microscope, audiometry is required. If more deafness then removal of fluid by doing myringotomy will help you. If less deafness one can try nasal decongestant and antihistaminics.

Dear lybrate-user. Usually physicians disclose most of the things to the patients. Sometimes they may not disclose some thing which they think are negligible. Simple psychological disorders like stress, anxiety etc falls under that category. The symptoms usually reduce its intensity within days. Take care.

I have piles. And I would ask you this danger disease. How to remove this disease.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
Dangers can be sever bleeding or obstruction leading to a dire emergency .Piles are haemorrhoids that become inflamed. Haemorrhoids are masses, clumps, cushions of tissue in the anal canal - they are full of blood vessels, support tissue, muscle and elastic fibers. Piles can be of various sizes and may be internal (inside the anus) or external ones (outside the anus). Typically, internal piles occur from 2 to 4cm above the opening of the anus. External piles (perianal hematoma) occur on the outside edge of the anus. The internal ones are much more common. Symptomatic haemorrhoids affect at least half the population at some time in their lives before the age of 50. In the majority of cases, piles are effectively treated with over-the-counter medications, a good fluid intake, and by following a diet high in fibre. In severe cases, the piles may have to be surgically removed. About 10% of patients who go and see their doctor about piles eventually require surgical intervention. Internal haemorrhoids are classified into four grades.  Grade 1 - there are small inflammations, usually inside the lining of the anus. They are not visible  Grade 2 - larger than grade 1 haemorrhoids, but also inside the anus. When passing a stool, they may get pushed out, but return unaided  Grade 3 - often called 'prolapsed haemorrhoids'; these appear outside the anus. The patient may feel them hanging out. They can be pushed back in if the patient presses with their finger  Grade 4 - these cannot be pushed back in and need to be treated by a doctor. They are large and stay outside the anus all the time. External haemorrhoids are called perianal hematoma. These are small lumps that are located on the outside edge of the anus. They are very itchy and can be painful if a blood clot forms inside (thrombosed external haemorrhoid). Thrombosed external haemorrhoid requires medical treatment straight away PILES OCCUR when the blood vessels around the anus and in the rectum will stretch under pressure and may swell or bulge. Inflamed veins (haemorrhoids) can develop when pressure increases in the lower rectum. This may be due to:  Chronic constipation9  Chronic diarrhea10  Lifting heavy weights11  Pregnancy12  Straining when passing a stool.13 The tendency to develop haemorrhoids may also be inherited. The risk of developing piles grows with age Treatments for piles In the majority of cases, piles resolve on their own without the need for any treatment. Treatments can help significantly reduce the discomfort and itching that many patients experience. Diet - piles can be caused by too much straining when doing bowel movements, which is the result of constipation. A change in diet can help keep the stools regular and soft. This involves eating more fiber, such as fruit and vegetables, or switching your cereal breakfast to bran. Water is the best drink, and the patient may be advised to increase his/her water consumption. Some experts say too much caffeine is not good. Simple things you can do yourself to help prevent piles:10  Try not to strain when you go to the toilet  Avoid laxatives  Exercise. Ointments, creams, pads and other OTC medications - there are some over-the-counter (OTC) medications which help soothe the redness and swelling around the anus area. Some of them contain witch hazel, hydrocortisone, or some other active ingredient which can relieve symptoms of itching and pain Surgery - used for particularly large piles, or grades 3 or 4 haemorrhoids. Generally, surgery is used if other procedures were not effective. Sometimes surgery is done on an outpatient basis - the patient goes home after the procedure.

Dear Lybrate User, Firstly you need to relax and don't be stressed. Every problem has a solution. At this stage there is no need to panic since you are on the verge of delivery. Keep your mind calm and positive. You can keep a simple and nutritious diet. Take more fruits and water and salads. Cut down Ghee/Butter/ Oils/Sugars/ Sweets and Maida based stuff. You can do slow walks around the house if possible. There is no need to push Panic Button for weight. You can reduce weight even after delivery. Weight reduction happens gradually. Please don't take any pills or shakes. Those are all ineffective. Once your delivery is over. After one / two months you can consult a dietician who will help you to bring your weight down. Stay calm, stay focussed, eat healthy and be happy.

Actually heavy teenagers at your age thinks high but implements less. If you start doing anything with full dedication and start enjoying it, the results are far better. I can understand that you youngsters have a problem in rising early due to late sleeping (due to mobiles nd tv in most cases) but I will suggest you to start implementing a few lifestyle and eating changes for next 3 months and see the results and once results start pouring in, you will start enjoying and you will start waking up early morning even before your alarm rang. 1. Stop eating fast and junk food 2. Say bye bye to sweets in every form, even try to drink milk without sugar 3. Avoid over eating and try to eat 10% less than your appetite. 4. Eat slowly and nonspicy food, take your time while eating 5. Do not drink water while taking your meals, drink 30 minutes before/after meals. It can be done only when food is nonspicy or you are eating slowly. Try it. 6. Breakfast and dinner light and lunch medium. 7. Try to take dinner at least 60 minutes before sleeping and do not eat/drink anything except water/milk after dinner. 8. Try to sleep latest by 9.9. Now comes to exercise. Everybody has an interest in some kind of activity, whether cycling, swimming, cricket, badminton or any other pyysical activity. Try to give some quality time to such activities for 60 minutes in evenings and if no such activity, then start gym for 60 minutes in evening.(tread mill 20 min----cross trainer 20 min -------cycling 20 min---) set up a target of burning 100 calories in start in 60 minutes and slowly go on increasing your target. I have seen youngsters burning 600-800 calories in 60 minutes. Implement the above steps in your life style for first 3 months. See the changes and then consult me for further mode of action if there is any requirement which I feel it should not be as by 3 months time results would start pouring in and would be enjoying your activities and would have already set some high goals for yourself even before my consultation. This is my expectation from you like teenagers john. Fitness is the key to everything, just keep this thing always in mind.

Stretches For High Heel Relief

Love to wear high heels? I know I do, especially seductive 6 inch heels! They make legs look great, but make your feet feel like dropped 100 old school dictionaries on them by the end of a long night. Here are a few stretches you can do to ease your sore feet after a long day or night of prancing around in your stilettos.
Shin and Ankle Stretch
Your shins and the top of your toes will feel great relief with this move.
Using a chair or bench sit down. Place your right ankle on your left knee (bending your right leg).
Grab the toes of your right foot and pull back, putting your foot in a pointed position. Push your right foot forward in order to make the stretch more intense.
Hold for 10 to 15 seconds, and then switch sides.
Towel Foot Stretch
This move loosens up your calves and provides relief to the soles of your feet.

Sit on the floor and stretch both of your legs out in front of you.
Bend your left leg and keep your right leg stretched out on the floor.
Using a hand towel with each end in one of your hands place the ball of your right foot in the center of the towel.
Pull back on the towel towards your chest while keeping the right leg straightened.
To intensify the stretch begin to bend the right knee slightly.
Hold for 10-15 and then repeat with the other foot.
Open Lizard
This move targets ankles and opens up the hips.
Go down into a lunge position with your right knee forward.
Lower your left knee completely to the floor.
Rest hands on the ground directly in line with your shoulders.
Begin to lower your right leg and knee to the right.
Keep your arms straight and your hands should be resting now on the inner side of your right foot.
Press your chest forward to intensify the stretch.
Hold for 10-15 sec and then switch.
Flexed-Feet Wall Stretch
Your posture can shift from having your calves in a constant flexed position while in heels. This move will help to loosen your calves and prevent lower back pain you may experience from your disturbed posture.
Stand in front of a wall and place your hands out onto it directly in front of your shoulders.
Walk your hands down the wall as you lean back.
Lift your toes and shift your weight into the heels.
Continue to walk your hands down the wall as far down as you can go.
You will feel the stretch get more intense the further down you go.
Hold for 10-15 seconds and then repeat.
