Is there an easy and less painful way to abort the kid? The pregnancy is of at max 3 months. Last time, MTP had proved to be painful. And the bleeding had continued for 20 days. My wife is 34 year old and is asthmatic and is a patient of thyroid.

M.B.B.S, Post Graduate Diploma In Maternal & Child Health
Gynaecologist, Bokaro
10 weeks is the permitted time for abortion in India. For gestational periods more than that, you need to go to a hospital. Please consult a good doctor and get a proper evaluation done. If she should not be conceiving, she must go for a permanent method of family planning or at least Copper T insertion. Please take care of her asthma and thyroid. The problem is much deeper than just pain and prolonged bleeding.

I am 22 year old and I am a virgin. I had a delayed period after 2 months. I had a very keen pain on my lower abdomen that lasted the whole night on the 1st day of my periods. The next day morning there was a chunky fleshy discharge with droplets of blood on it. Is it normal? What causes such a discharge? Should I fear? Will I be infertile?

Your problem is not uncommon. Sometimes, the periods may be disturbed due to physical exertion, stress, sickness and hormonal disturbance. Homoeopathy has good treatment without causing adverse effects. Commencing from 5 days before next expected period, take homoeopathic medicine Belladonna 200 twice daily in the morning and in the evening and give feedback after next menses.. For further treatment, consult privately Rs 149/-

Women who use emergency contraceptive pills have some irregularity and menstrual disturbance for a few months after taking them. Ipill is an emergency contraceptive pill and it contains a high dose of hormones which once ingested disturbs the normal hormonal pattern of the woman and this causes many menses disturbances like excess or scanty bleeding at menses, inter menses bleeding, or delayed menses. So what you are suffering is a consequence of taking ipill. If you are indulging in frequent sex, then the bestw ay to prevent such problem and prevent pregnancy is to use condoms and / or oral contraceptive pills. Which is more better than emergency pills.

Healthy Diet.
Healthy diet.

Quit eating junk food and high-fat fast food. Your heart, brain, and overall health are harmed by foods high in saturated fats, salt, and cholesterol. There's no getting around it. You've got to replace them with healthy foods: lots of fruits, vegetables, fish, nuts, olive oil -- what we call the mediterranean diet. Eat like an Italian, a Spaniard, a greek! enjoy!

One time sex karne se kya girl pregnant ho sakti hai. Please help in this regard.

Hello lybrate user, yes, she can. Although chances can be decreased or increased depending upon the day of menstrual cycle but practically, she can become pregnant due to sex done on any day of menstrual cycle. But there is no need to worry, just wait for the periods to come. If she has missed periods then both of you can check for pregnancy using hcg strip (otc) and can decide together whether you want or not want. If sex time is nearby you can use ipill or emergency contraceptive depending upon the time of sexual contact.

Condoms have nothing to do with it, rather condom prevents uti. We have to assess her and find out the cause of uti if you want permanent cure. Yes, uti can affect the baby in pregnancy

Post Menopausal Sex - 5 Ways Tips To Reduce The Pain

Post Menopausal Sex - 5 Ways Tips To Reduce The Pain

Sex which gives pleasure to most, can be painful for some. Many women, mostly in their menopausal or postmenopausal phase find intercourse and penetration extremely painful. Menopause results in hormonal imbalance, with a significant drop in the estrogen level. The reduced estrogen level results in Vulvovaginal Atrophy (dryness of the vagina and thinning and weakening of the vaginal tissues). In such cases, women experience irritation, Vaginismus (vaginal tightness) and soreness after sex. One can also experience a burning sensation during urination. There may be inflammation of the vaginal tissues. If untreated, the inflammation can cause infection and other complications. "Dyspareunia" or pain during intercourse is very common in postmenopausal women. The pain experienced during sex can be due to "Vulvodynia" as well. Vulvodynia is a condition whereby a women experiences chronic pain in the external genitals or vulva. A number of other factors can also contribute to the pain during sex. A thorough and detailed investigation is thus very important.

Treatment:

Many women find it extremely embarrassing to discuss menopausal problems with their partners and doctors. The key to effective treatment lies in timely diagnosis and medication. There is nothing to be embarrassed about. The postmenopausal changes can vary from person to person. Thus it is very important to discuss every minute detail with your physician.

Many options are available to make intercourse a less painful experience:

- Keep dryness at bay: In most cases, painful intercourse results from dryness of the vagina. Use of a lubricant can ease the pain to a great extend. A water based lubricant is highly recommended. Regular use of vaginal moisturizers is also effective to deal with vaginal dryness.

- Vaginal care and hygiene: It is very important to keep the vagina clean. Avoid using soaps, bath oils and shower gels. They do more harm than good to the vagina. It is advisable to wash the vagina with warm to lukewarm water. Undergarments should be changed twice daily.

- More is good: Having sex at regular intervals is a healthy practice. It not only enhances and improves the blood flow, but also helps to overcome vaginal dryness.

- The Pelvic Floor Therapy is immensely beneficial. In this therapy, a gentle pressure is exerted in the pelvic region to relax the stiffened and tightened muscles. One can also massage the area to relax the muscles.

- Squat is a very effective exercise to strengthen the buttocks and hip muscles. Exercises to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles are also very helpful.

- One can also opt for Local Estrogen therapy and Systematic Estrogen Therapy.

Menopause should not affect your conjugal and sexual life. Visit here to know more and forget painful intercourse forever. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Sexologist.
