Hello, if there was a unprotected sex on 12 th day chances of pregnancy are high, provide the girl should have regular cycles. It can be confirmed only if she misses next period. Seeing just discharge only you can't judge pregnancy.

I had sex with my girlfriend a week ago. She's 18 years old. We did not use protection ,I gave her an Ipill within 2 hours. From past 2 days she has bleeding in her vagina and normally her menstrual cycle starts at 18th of every month and now today her menstrual cycle has started. Shall I go for a pregnancy check up? Or this happens usually! please let me know fast as I'm very tensed about this as I do not have any information about how an Ipill works and what all happens after giving the tablet.

Hello, It's good to reduce weight at right time as many problems are directly related to overweight! Read the following guidelines and implement them in your routine: Management: 1: Drink plenty of water (at least 2-3 l/d) or other calorie-free beverages. 2: Be choosy about nighttime snacks. 3: Enjoy your favorite foods. 4: Have 6 meals per day - 3 main courses and 3 snack meals (snack meals should be healthy). 5: Do regular exercises daily (start with light and later may be little vigorous) . Exercise decreases the stress hormone in your body, burns calories and also increases the blood circulation. 6: Eat seasonal fruits. Fruit helps to satisfy your sweet tooth thanks to its natural sugars, while fresh vegetables help you fill up more quickly. Fruits and vegetables contain fiber to help you feel full quickly. 7: Eat more whole grains and cut simple carbs. Whole wheat bread, oatmeal, whole wheat pasta, sweet potato, and brown rice are all excellent sources of energy and sources of nutrition. 8: Choose lean proteins instead of fatty ones. 9: Cut the salt from your diet. Eating more sodium causes your body to retain water, which can cause you to feel bloated and gain more weight. 10: Don't skip meals. When you skip meals, your body stops breaking down fat and starts breaking down muscle tissue. Muscle tissue burns more calories at rest than other tissues, so you're actually working against your goals 11: Eat at home. Going out to eat makes it too easy to cheat. Food sold at restaurants is commonly much higher in fat, sodium, and other weight-loss killers. 12: Give yourself a treat now and then. If you're attending a party or going out for a special occasion, allow yourself an indulgence. Just make sure that these indulgences don't become daily habits. Medication for obesity & irregular menses: Start taking Schwabe's Phytolacca Berry tablets/ thrice daily 1/2 an hr before the meals for 1 month, Calcarea Carb. 1M/ one dose once daily and Pulsatilla 1M/ one dose once a week - take for 1month. There after revert me back for further guidance. All the best!

Its most of the times advised for intra uterine problems. Costs 18-20K. Its pretty safe n the diagnostic one is a short office procedure. While the operative hysteroscopy would be a major one and also with laparoscopy. Costing 30-40K.

My friend is 43 years old, she is suffering from uterus fibroid, one is 10.1 , 10.1 and second is 4.1 , 4.1 cm. She does not want surgery. Is there any alt. Medicine option to treat fibroid in ayurveda or homeopathy. If yes pls tell. She has very less iron store and is anemic and less energetic.

There is treatment for fibroid in homoeopathy but complete cure depends upon how early you start treatment. As the size increases chances of successful treatment decreases. Fibroid is quite big, but there is hope, treatment will be long.

I am 23 year old. My question is. Does a woman always bleed when she has sex for the first time?

I am 23 year old. My question is.
Does a woman always bleed when she has sex for the first time?
No dear, not necessary that a virgin will bleed for the first time. Bleeding happens due to breaking of hymen but sometimes the hymen gets broken on its own by playing games, horse riding, tampons etc.

The Top Things To Know About Delivering A Child!

The Top Things To Know About Delivering A Child!

Pregnancy is one of the most exciting and anxious phase in a woman’s life. There is definitely an information overload from all sources i.e. family, friends, medical team, books, Internet, etc., that is dumped on the mother-to-be. The idea is to prepare her for the delivery. What needs to be borne in mind though is that each delivery is unique and there are no two women who have had the exact same experience.

However, it is good for the mother to know what to expect so that she is mentally prepared and not totally caught unawares when the actual scenes unfold. The following are the sequence of events that she should be aware of and watch out for:

  1. With the due date nearing, she should keep a watch for the water breaking. This is passing of fluid surrounding the baby and is usually colorless and odorless. However, if it is green or brown, it is an indication that something might be wrong. Immediate medical help should be sought in that case.
  2. Along with water breaking, contractions is the next thing to watch out for. This is due to the tightening and releasing of the uterus, indicating that the baby has begun to descend down towards the cervix. If these last for up to a minute, occur every five minutes, and persist for up to an hour, it is a clear indication that it is delivery time and you must head to the hospital.
  3. Two sensations very prominent during delivery are pain and pressure. The pressure is from the baby passing down the birth canal. As the cervix and the vaginal canal expand to allow passage of the baby, there would be a great deal of pain and pressure. It is not just the mother, even the baby exerts significant pressure to come out of the womb during labor.
  4. The process of the baby getting out of the womb is what is medically termed as labor and has three distinct stages to it:
    • The first stage has two parts to it i.e. an initial, gradual phase that may last for a few hours and a later, quicker phase. The rate of progress of delivery is steady.
    • The second stage usually lasts for about two hours, during which the cervix is minimally dilated and pushing begins. This stage lasts until the baby is out of the womb.
    • The third and the last stage is where the placenta is extracted and the umbilical cord is cut.

Some common problems you may expect include injury or tearing of the vagina or cervix, need for episiotomy, vomiting, passing of motion, anesthetic complications, etc. However, what would remain etched in the mother’s memory would be the first sight of the baby. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a gynaecologist.

No there is no chance of pregnancy if you didn't have sex after last month,-after which you got your periods. So due to some stress or physical exhaustion or anemia your menses are delayed please don't worry. You can always run the pregnancy strip test for double confirmation. Just relax and I am certain your periods will come soon. All the best.

Faints for some seconds after waking up and even when I stand after sitting for long time. Is this a serious problem?

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist,
Faints for some seconds after waking up and even when I stand after sitting for long time. Is this a serious problem?
This is known as vasovagal syncope or postural hypotension. All you can do is some stretching in bed before getting out of bed. Check your haemoglobin, bp and sugar levels. I hope all will be ok. Nothing to worry if these stats are ok.

Since you have pcod so there is a possibility that you might have conceived late, so fist get a beta hcg test done for confirmation of pregnancy. If it is positive then get a scan done after 10-15 days.

Benefit of fibers in diet
We all heard some where that fiber is good for health and one should eat food which is rich in fiber. But how fiber help us to live healthy?
1 fibers form bulk of stool so it help in regulation of bowl movement. So help in constipation.
2 it gives us satiety value. Means high fiber food is not easy to digest, by eating small amout your hunger get satisfied and you will not become immediately hungry. So overall you eat less. Which help to maintain your body weight
3 it is also help in absorption of nutrients
4 it reduces post prandial plasma glusose and increase tissue insulin sensitivity. Which is very helpful in diabetes.
Food rich in fibers are
Whole wheat product, bajara, ragi, maize, green leafy vegetables, fruits with skin, seed
Also oats, whole pulses, isabgol, whole grain are rich source of fiber.

Hello- these type of symptoms occur in females either due to fear of pain or due to lack of urge for sex. 1) try to focus on your wife's health and improve her health by using nutritious product in living. 2) increase the amount of dairy products in her meals. 3) drink shatavari powder with milk daily. 4) enhance your bedroom with sexual toys and porn films. 5) try to talk to your partner regarding her issue.
