Hii lybrate-user. I think (1) you should take more fatty or starchy foods (2) take bigger plate. If you do exercise and not taking enough food then it could occur (3) take dry fruits whenever wants (4) take weight gainer shake (5) take milk shake (6) 3-4 banana each day (7) take extra chicken, egg, butter, cheese, almond, peanut, starchy foods etc (8) do muscle building exercises.

Hye, Thanks for the query. If you want to gain some weight, you need to eat more calories than you burn. 1. Eat 5 to 6 meals a day In order to gain weight, you need to start eating 5-6 meals a day. However, it is important that you break these meals into parts, as eating a lot at once may result in indigestion. Also, be sure to include healthy foods in your diet for a healthy weight gain. 2. Weight train at least 3 times a week When you train with weights, your muscles grow. 3. Consume more calories than you burn. Make sure you don’t do it just by overeating at once, but instead do it gradually over the whole day. 4. Work out your entire body A lot of gym goers usually train only the muscles on their arms, chest and shoulders and this is a grave error. Make sure you workout your entire body for a wholesome weight gain. 5. Load up on protein, you have to consume more calories than your normal intake every day. You can do this by eating foods rich in protein like dairy, meat, eggs, nuts, dry fruits, pulses, sprouts, smoothies, milk shakes etc. 6. Drink your calories It may be tough to meet your calorie requirements by just eating. Drinking milk, lassi, milkshakes or fruit smoothies with little or no sugar can be a great way to load up on the required calories. 7. Try and not eat too slow. 8. Focus on recovery after each workout Stretching exercises, foods rich in carbohydrates can help recover your body significantly. Believe in yourself Following your regimen may seem incredibly difficult if you don’t believe that you will one day be able to transform your body. If you are not seeing any gains even after working so hard, work harder. Eat more, lift more and stay inspired.

I have groin ringworm from the last two weeks. I didn't notice it then but now it itches a lot and sometimes even burns.

The ringworm infection is common in the groin region. You need to use a good local application and also need to keep the area clean and dry as moisture worsens the condition. As far as the unani medicine is concerned you use marham qooba or safoof qooba mixed with coconut oil for local application. These medicines are available with unani medicines retailer. Keep your underclothes properly dried and rinse them with dettol while washing.

Dear lybrate user, increasing weight does not mean that you will go fatty. In fact, extra fat serves as a precursor of many diseases. In order to increase your weight as well as stay healthy you have to increase the muscle mass of your body. Normally a muscle undergoes an increase in size when it gets hypertrophied due to weight training. Weight-training leads to the pumping of blood to the muscle resulting in increased protein synthesis in the muscles. This applies to every muscles of human body. So, weight training is a must to increase weight. Whenever a muscle gets hypertrophied it demands protein to expand. Here comes the need of protein supplement. The most effective protein supplement is whey protein. But kindly remember only taking supplement is not enough. You need to take those supplements according to a fixed schedule. For quicker & better results take 40 grams of whey just after waking from sleep at morning. Take another 20 grams of whey just 30 minutes before workout. Again take 40 grams of whey just after you have finished your workout. Kindly remember gaining weight is a time -taking process. So do not expect any result within fortnight.

Mr Santosh Kumar, Feeling tired without any known reason can be a symptom of diabetes. If you have a family history of T2 DM, it is better to get a blood sugar check up done. That will help in clearing the doubt. Apart from feeling tired other symptoms include excess urination, excess thirst, excess hunger and unexplained weight loss. So please a detailed blood check done.

The first thing you have to do is to develop a positive attitude towards your goal. You need to understand that transforming your physique is going to take a lot of time. These things don't work that easily. It's going to take a lot of hard work and consistency. The fat that you are carrying around was accumulated in years. So how can you expect to lose it in mere days. 1. Start exercising. Start working out if you are not active. Begin with body weight exercises like push up, pull up and squats. Weight training proves to be really helpful if you want to gain good quality weight. Train each body part twice a week. For example: monday/thursday: chest + triceps tuesday/friday: back + biceps wednesday/saturday: legs + shoulders don't forget to warm up for at least 10 - 15 minutes. Warm up includes jumping, rope skipping, treadmill, cycling, stair climbing, etc. 2. Eat healthy. Stop drinking and smoking too much if you are indulged in it. Limit your intake of junk food and any form of sugar. Do not at all starve yourself. Make it a habit to eat something healthy every 2 - 3 hours. Some of the recommended food items are boiled chicken and eggs, brown rice, brown bread, peanut butter, olive oil (extra virgin), green tea, dry fruits etc. 3. Consume good amount of fruits and vegetables. Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. 4. Eat whole grains. Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats are best sources of healthy carbohydrates but do not include these items in your dinner. 5. Increase protein intake. Protein proves to be the most essential nutrient when it comes down to gaining strength or building muscle. Therefore, consume all types of protein from both veg and non veg food items. Boiled chicken and eggs are the best sources of fat free protein. Sprouts are also rich in protein.

Hye. Thanks for the query. If you're a beginner at gyming, first you need to increase your upper and lower body strength before you hit the weights. You need to start with basic exercises to do increase your strength a little bit and get your body into shape. A lot of teenagers when they start out bodybuilding or gyming they go in the gym with the intention of jumping into heavy weights and dumbells from the first day itself. They go to the rack and pick up the largest weight they think they can lift. Not only are you going to be struggling to lift the weight but your form is so sloppy and you have not practice that you can hurt yourself more than increasing your muscles. Bodybuilding or gyming is not about lifting heavy, its all about proper technique and physique. A lot of times at the gym as soon as you are starting out, you are just working out the same muscle day in and day out, eg your biseps. You are tearing your muscle instead of letting it grow. You must let your muscles grain strength, practice and rest before you can work that muscle. Your muscles are not growing when you are working out but when you are resting. Another point to remember is proper nutrition. You have to watch what enters your body. You need to not only eat to manage workout but also your growth and development. Poor nutrition can lead to poor or stunted growth. So, if you concentrate on all these factors you can start working out with right technique and good nutrition.

Dear patient, calorie dense food should be incorporated in your diet like dried fruits, potato, sweets, nuts, jam jelly, banana or mango shake, porridge, badam kheer etc. leafy vegetables should be restricted in your diet as they reduce appetite. you should take 3 major meals a day and snacks in between. butter, margarine should be taken. Adequate amount of egg, meat, fish, milk should be taken as it help you for tissue building in your body.try to take 1 boiled egg at every morning. you should eat more food at each meal. Follow the following tips :- · Pay attention to your health and food intake. · To increase your appetite, have a glass of lime water or 1 cardamom (elaichi) before your meal. · Have minimum 4 meals in a day. · Drink 1 glass of milk twice a day. · Try to enjoy your meals and gradually increase the quantity you eat every time. · A balance diet should have all essential nutrients in it. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It should include combination of Both Carbohydrates and Proteins for e.g. Oats with Milk or Poha/ Upma with a glass of milk. If you do not like milk have 1-2 egg whites in the morning along with your breakfast. · You need to focus on your protein intake: Increase your protein intake e.g. Milk, dairy products- cheese, paneer, lentils (dals), nuts (soya, peanuts, dry fruits ), pulses e.g. Rajma, chole, kidney beans etc. Sprouts. If you are a non-vegetarian, then you can have proteins by also eating eggs, chicken, fish. Make sure you are including at least 2 serving of any of these in your daily meal. · Lunch and dinner again should be a combination of Proteins, Carbohydrates and Fats which could have dal, roti, sabji/chicken, salad. · Please do have minimum 4 almonds or a small bowl of peanuts every day. · Please ensure that you drink at least 3 litres of water every day.

Yes, you need to increase the quantity of food you eat, but at the same time you have to make sure You are eating healthy. Eat five to six meals a day. Avoid skipping any meal. Increase your portion size. Choose foods that are higher in healthy calories. Do not skip any meal, especially breakfast. Whatever you eat at breakfast is better absorbed and utilized by your system. So don’t forget to take a handful of nuts everyday along with good quality protein, like toned milk and boiled eggs. You will normally gain wright and do not eat much foods for it as it will lead to obesity. Staying just below the ideal weight d fine as after the age of 30 most people gain weight.
