Mr. lybrate-user, Your query is very general, so it is difficult give any answer. Because medication is decided on blood glucose levels severity, HbA1c%, patients weight and extent of exercise etc. Unless all the details are made available there is no way I can give any suggestions. About foods one should avoid sweets, deep fried foods, junk foods, pastries, bakery items and sweetened aerated drinks. Consume more of green leafy vegetables, salads and permitted fruits. Thanks.

7 Simple Ways To Naturally Lower High Blood Pressure

In the our community, high blood pressure (HBP), also known as hypertension, is a common health condition to say the least. In fact, more than 40 percent of population have HBP, according to the American Heart Association. Whether it?s a close relative or friend, there?s a good chance that you know someone with HBP. Unfortunately, it?s considered the norm, but it doesn?t have to be that way at all.
Higher rates of obesity and diabetes and plain ole genetics put African Americans at a higher risk for HBP. Not to be taken lightly, HBP that?s left untreated can lead to a stroke. If you take medication to help control your blood pressure, then by all means, continue following your doctor?s orders, but perhaps ? just perhaps ? the best medicine is a new, healthy lifestyle. The following suggestions can not only lower your blood pressure but reduce your need for medication. Keep reading to find out what they are.
1. Lose weight.
Only do so if you?re overweight or obese. Need some convincing? Essentially, the more weight you lose, the better your blood pressure. Also, if you?re already taking medication(s) to treat your HBP, losing weight will help make those medications more effective.
2. Exercise often.
We all know how chaotic life can be at times, but it?s important to squeeze in at least 30 minutes of physical activity every day or every other day. Exercising regularly can lower your blood pressure as much as 4-9 millimeters of mercury (mm Hg).
3. Change your diet.
This means avoiding salty foods, including potato chips, French fries, pretzels, lunch meat and pasta sauce. Boosting your potassium intake and eating more fresh fruits and vegetables and low-fat dairy products can lower your blood pressure by up to 14 mm Hg.
4. Reduce stress.
Don?t neglect yourself. It?s important to take a little time to relax and unwind by participating in activities that you truly enjoy, whether it?s jogging, power walking, reading, listening to music or going to the movies. And whatever it is that seems to trigger stress in your life, figure out a way to eliminate or avoid those triggers as much as you possibly can. You might find it helpful to learn a few stress management techniques for when the going gets tough.
5. Eat more dark chocolate.
Dark chocolate seems to be the food that keeps on giving. Not only does it boost your energy and reduce inflammation, but did you know that just one small square a day can lower your blood pressure? This is due to the fact that dark chocolate is rich in antioxidant flavonoids. Now, that?s sweet!
6. Avoid alcohol and tobacco.
We?re not saying that you have to completely swear off drinking because after all, what is a good party, vacay or get-together with friends without an ice, cold pia colada? Try to keep your alcohol consumption to no more than one glass per day.
As for smoking, besides lung cancer, COPD, heart disease, infertility and the other dangers of smoking, tobacco products can raise your blood pressure. Although difficult at first, quitting certainly has its health benefits and pays off in the long run.

Hi lybrate-user, you feel that your voice has changed. Okay, many reasons may be, it may be due to maturity or due to overuse. Do not worry. Relax. Give some rest to your voice as well. In the meantime check with ENT specialist, if everything is normal, that is voice cords, tongue throat. Get back to me for further discussion along with the ENT check up results (meaning doctors suggestion). Everything will bcom normal. Time is there. Take care. Be cool. With regards,

My penis is small during the sex my partner is not satisfied with me. I want to increase my penis length.

DGO, MBBS

Penis size cannot be increased, unless you have hormonal problems size of penis varies from person to person, like other physical features like height etc. On an average, it ranges from 3.5 inches to 5.5 inches on erection. If your penis is within this range on erection, then don't worry. If your penis is smaller then you can do hormone tests. For female satisfaction only a small part of vagina (1-2 inches inside) is sexually sensitive. In pornographic films they show big penis by injecting drugs etc. Which is harmful, so most people have wrong ideas about penis size. However you can get medicines that will increase sex time.

Stammering can be made lesser only and only by speech therapy. So you should take the help of a speech therapist. Also, i'd suggest you to visit a psychologist as confidence plays a great role in dealing with this problem. I'd suggest you to speak very slowly, word by word. People may make fun of this but believe me, slowly you'll get better at it. Hope your query is answered. Wishing you good health.

MBBS, MD - Internal Medicine

Ask Free Question
Scabies is an itchy skin condition caused by the microscopic mite Sarcoptes scabei. It is common all over the world, and can affect anyone. Scabies spreads quickly in crowded conditions where there is frequent skin-to-skin contact between people. Hospitals, child-care centers, and nursing homes are examples. Scabies can easily infect sex partners and other household members. Sharing clothes, towels, and bedding can sometimes spread scabies. This can happen much more easily when the infested person has crusted scabies. You cannot get scabies from a pet. Pets get a different mite infection called mange. Symptoms are Pimple-like irritations or a rash Intense itching, especially at night Sores caused by scratching The infected person's clothes, bedding and towels should be washed in hot water and dried in a hot dryer. Bath with hot water and hand wash with hot water.Treatment is also recommended for household members and sexual partners.Several lotions are available to treat scabies. Medicines that may be prescribed include: 5% permethrin cream: This is the most common treatment for scabies. It is safe for children as young as 1 month old and women who are pregnant.  25% benzyl benzoate lotion. 10% sulfur ointment.  10% crotamiton cream. 1% lindane lotion.

high cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Avoid fast foods, oily foods, junk foods, alcohol, smoking, fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress, take green veg., whole grain.garlic,. Take anti cholesterol medicines . for c t angiography you can go any ct scan center near by you.
