Ok but remember Pregnancy can occur only one day of cycle that is ovulation day so unprotected sex around that day only important. As only one day in month nature should be given 12-24 trials (12 to 24 months) before couple need any active management by Gynecologist or infertility specialist & Any couple desirous of pregnancy and not getting same naturally must meet Gynecologist or infertility specialist accepting facts that it needs many reports and different trials of treatment. Means couple must have patience and go to one in whom they have trust to stick for long time.

Hi Doctor, I would like to know few doubts related to my wifes health. Its now about 6 months after our manage. marriage happened on Aug 2015. Later after some time it was found that my wife have PCOD and she started taking tablet for 3 months. In 3 months period got regular and as per advise from doctor the medicine was stopped. After that from Jan 2015 we are trying for Kid and till now no success. Recently about 3 weeks back she started showing many symptoms like vomiting tendency, black out in front of eyes, getting tired soon and we consulted doctor. Doctor advised it was because of anemia and gave few iron tablets. Routine using, blood and thyroid test happened. No pregnancy test was advised or done by doctor. For our satisfaction we used pregnancy kit and it has not shown any positive results till today. Now she is having vomiting tendency early morning and at times she tells she have sour/sweet taste in mouth and skips away food. Now, its already time for next period, Her period date should happen between 10th - 15th of month. For this month Feb period did not happen. Last period there was more bleeding one one day alone. Last period happened on Jan 10. Now its Feb 25 and period did not happen yet. Today morning we did pregnancy test and kit showed negative. My doubts are: a) Is she still having PCOD? B) IS this anemia? C) Is the kit showing wrong result. Should we confirm pregnancy through blood test or something? D) She is very much slim, will the PCOD cause problem for her in pregnancy?

According to your above information it shows that she is pcod remain. For confirm diagnosis do usg of lower abdomen which confirm all your doubts clear for both pregnancy and pcod. Sometimes due to medicine vomiting and weakness may cause. May be due to low blood pressure blackout cause. Pcod is one of the cause in delay pregnancy. I suggest you do usg and show me the report.

Hello lybrate-user there is no relation for normal or caesarian delivery with cervical stitch. It is removed few days before due date or at time of delivery. It is meant for prevention of early delivery. Thanks.

before you try for pregnancy you should see your doctor so that the tablets can be adjusted to the lowest possible dose and if possible changed to something more pregnancy compliant

Hello first thing is that you will not develop ovarian cancer due to pcos. It is a lifestyle disease due to hormonal imbalance and takes long time for cure. Be patient and modify your lifestyle and diet.

I am suffering from PCOS and 2.5 cm right ovary cyst. Doctor prescribed me with 1.Aldactone (before meal) 2.Metformin 500 mg (after meal) 3. Dronis 30 mg I am advised to take med for 3 months or even 6 months. After 1st months, on ultrasound, right ovary cyst was gone. Only left with ovarian cyst. I reduced my weight from 52 to 50 kgs. I am planning for pregnancy after 6 months. No Thyroid problem. Till how much time will I have to take these medicines? Will there be any adverse affect after I stop taking them?

PCOD is a disease where there is hormonal imbalance. Depending on your complaints, examination, reports and stage of life treatment differs and it also needs more time so get yourself treated with patience. Meet Gynecologist in whom you have trust as you will need to go for long time to him/her. In PCOD ovulation is affected so chances of pregnancy decrease so let Gynecologist or infertility specialist decide about same and advise you.

Hello- The delay in periods are not due to pregnancy, its due to I pill. The pill contains loads of hormones which disturbs the normal body cycle and hence can result in delayed or irregular menses. Nothing to worry, the period should arrive within a weeks time.
