I have a cat of 4 months old. I need to prevent it from pregnancy so is that possible through any injection or pill. Other then spay?

Veterinarian, Mumbai
Hormone injection or pills could be given as contraception, but these come with sideffects. This can lead to some serious health issues to your kitten. Safest and reliable way is spaying.

Brushing vigorously to remove old hairs and add some fur tonics like nutricoat advance or etc, wait for 15 to 20 days for replacement of old coat.

You can try gemon food from itally a premium food with 31 percent protien and 21 percent fat and 4300 k cal / kg of food you get when digested and the 20 kg cost you only 6500 very cheap and good in results.

I have a pet dog. He is four year old. He has ab ulcer in his right leg. Can you please suggest any medicine?

MS - General Surgery, FMAS.Laparoscopy
General Surgeon, Gandhinagar
Hello dear Lybrate user, hi Warm welcome to Lybrate.com I have evaluated your query for your pet dog thoroughly. Keep the wound clean with antiseptic liquid as dettol or savlon 3 times a day. Take care that there should not be any accumulation of dust or mud over that part. Apply Neosporin skin ointment 2 times a day, apply dressing over that. Consult later animal doctor for certain medicines to make it heal faster. Hope this clears your query. Wishing your cuty fine recovery. Can use my private URL for private consultation at Lybrate.com https://www.Lybrate.com/gandhinagar/doctor/dr-bhagyesh-patel-general-surgeon  Welcome for any further assistance. Regards take care.

My pet is 4 months old German Shepherd. She is having tiny red patches below her stomach where there are no hairs. She has taken all vaccinations. What should I do to cure those patches?

MVSc, BVSc
Veterinarian, Secunderabad
Hi lybrate-user, the red patches may be skin (ecto- parasitic) infection / mange / allergy. Patches are wet or dry. Deworm your pup every month till 6 months and later every 3 months.

Hello my dear sir. A injured sparrow suffering with problem. The sparrow fall into gum and its one side wing has wounded. It can't use its one side wing. What can I do now. Please reply me as soon as possible.

MVSc (Ph.D pursuing)
Veterinarian, Hyderabad
U can clean the whole body with luke warm water gently and tie that wing close to the body for healing. This is to make sure the sparrow doesn't use that wing for any purpose for few days and allow any possible healing faster. Another option is to go to a Vet in person who has the experience on birds, get an X- Ray and overall status of what exactly has happened inside and it's prognosis.
