Mild mvp is relatively common condition in the population. There is a theoretical chance of infective endocarditis which can cause serious problems. The way to prevent this is ie prophylaxis during surgical procedures like dental extraction.

Dear lybrateuser, -the fast heart beat is due to stress & anxiety -to reduce stress do regular exercise like walking, jogging, swimming, outdoor games for 20-30 min a day, also do yoga, meditation & deep breathing for 10-15 min in the morning, you don't have to do these at a stretch, even short periods of 10-15 min spread over the day is beneficial -other than work occupy your mind by reading, listening to music, following a hobby, socializing with friends as these have a calming effect on the mind -eat well balanced, nutritious, home made food, avoid spicy, fried & junk food, more than 2-3 cups of tea, coffee if you take, also avoid alcohol & tobacco -have a good restful sleep for 7-8 hrs at night, for this eat your dinner 2-3 hrs before bedtime, avoid watching tv & other gadgets 1-2 hrs before bedtime, read a book or listen to music before going to bed -if still not much improvement then consult a doctor as you may require medication.

Bradycardia. Slow Heart Rate. A heart rate of less than 60 beats per minute (BPM) in adults is called bradycardia. Physically active adults (and athletes) often have a resting heart rate slower than 60 BPM but it doesn't cause problems and is normal for them.

Dear Please help your father take a strong purgative like castor oil. Once his digestive system has got rid of bad unhealthy food, make sure he goes on a soup diet for few days to help digestive system come to order. He shows typical symptoms of severe pitta and needs to make a total change in food habits. Exercise. Plenty of water throughout the day and totally avoid spicy, salty, ppackaged stale food if he wants to get better. Regards

Dear Lybrateuser, - Good to know that you have left smoking as it will help reverse any damage it has caused to your body over a period of time - take a well balanced diet with more of fruits & vegetables especially green leafy ones, protein foods, healthy fats, whole grains - do regular exercise, brisk walking, jogging, swimming for 20-30 min, also do yoga & deep breathing for 10-15 min daily morning for good supply of oxygen & blood circulation in the body - take a tablet of Paracetamol if pain is more - get an x- ray chest & ECG done to rule out any other problem, consult a doctor if not much relief.
