Only concern in your case is a low HDL level. We have very limited option to raise HDL. Some oof these arre as below 1. Regular exercise at least 40 minutes per day. 2. Regularly take 5 almonds and 1 walnut daily. 3. Use flax seeds daily. 4. If you are non vegetarian you can use fatty fish at least thrice a week.

Are your kidney tests on? Measure BP only once every month on fixed date after resting for ten minutes. Sugar jaggery alcohol, pain killer medicines, and modern food restrictions make modern diseases like hypertension become worse.

Dear lybrate-user You have to solution to your problem in your question itself. Get off the chair under any pretext to walk around the office. You should drink atleast 5 glasses of water daily. Take breaks to do this. Also, go to the place which is most further to you to drink water to make the walking more possible. Climb stairs, no lifts. Quit dinners and eat boiled veggies instead Start you day with plate full of fruit. Regards.

Dear lybrateuser, - Your chest pain could be due to acidity - follow some dietary precautions, - avoid spicy, fried, junk foods, tea/ coffee more than 1-2 cups/day, also avoid alcohol, smoking if you do - have more of fruits & vegetables, fresh homemade food - have 7-8 glasses of water for proper digestion - take syrup gelusil, 2 teaspoonful half an hour after food, three times a day - chew food well, do not skip meals, have meals on time, have dinner 2-3 hers before bedtime.

1. Do warm saline gurgling 3-4 times daily 2. Take viscodyne d syrup 2tsf thrice daily 3. You may have to take antibiotic along with it and carry out investigations including x ray chest after consulting physician, if no relief4. Avoid smoking if you smoke 5. Consult me for further advice.

Your BP very good. Measure BP only once every year on fixed dates after resting for ten minutes. Low BP leading to needless worry, but low BP means long life usually.

Hi. At night, when you are about to sleep, you tend to appreciate the sounds of your heart beats and also can feel the pulsations in your chest. This is because the surroundings are so quite and you are calm and free. Sometimes, due to this sensations, people think wether they are having some heart problem! so if this is your case, then do not worry. Otherwise having fast heart rate could be due to tensions, stress etc. As you said, you have sleep problem also. Then, solve the overall stressors of your life and you should be fine. Take care.

Heart attacks are caused by tobacco smoke and modern diet. Avoid smoking, reduce sugar jaggery and starchy foods. Cholesterol testing will not help much, it leads to confusion and poor diet. Discuss food with people who are healthy at ninety. Best wishes.
