Since your baby is is 10 months old, I presume baby is breast fed. Therefore for you ideal contraceptives will be intra uterine contraceptive device (coppert/ multiload) or condom. I would prefer intrauterine device.

Around 15% of pregnancies gets miscarried, that is nature's rule. You should avoid next pregnancy for 6 months from the last abortion. Chances of repeat abortion or preterm delivery increases if one becomes pregnant within 6 months of miscarriage. Also if abortion/ miscarriage was caused by any viral infection, then it will get cured automatically within 3 months time. Use contraception for 6 months. Best one to use are oral contraceptive pills. No special treatment or tests are needed if you had only one miscarriage or spontaneous abortion.

TMJ Symptoms, Treatment, and Causes

TMJ Symptoms, Treatment, and Causes

The human jaw is a very important part of human anatomy and within it, the mandible or the lower jaw is very important as it is the movable part which helps you chew and enables you to open or close the mouth. The lower jaw is connected to the skull via the TMJ or the Temporo-mandibular joint. It works like a hinge which slides as and when required to allow movement of the jaw. TMJ disorder can be quite painful and limit you from normal activities and cause disruptions in your daily life.

Causes of TMJ-

The TMJ works as a movable joint where the bone area in contact with each other is covered by cartilage and a small shock absorbing soft disk separates the two cartilages. The disk enables the movements to be smooth. Any changes in this arrangement will usually result in pain. The primary causes for TMJ disorders could be summed up as follows –

  1. Misalignment – If the TMJ moves out of alignment due to underlying factors, it will cause pain and the inability to move the joint.

  2. Erosion of the cartilage or the disk – If the cartilage or the disk separating them erodes, then TMJ disorders might occur.

  3. ArthritisJust as arthritis affects knees, wrists, elbows and finger joints, it could cause TMJ disorders as well.

  4. Impact – One of the most common causes of TMJ disorders, this may occur due to injuries sustained from forceful impacts.

Symptoms-

  1. Pain or tenderness around the jaws.

  2. You may experience pain on either or both sides of the temporo-mandibular joint.

  3. Even if you don’t have pain in the specific joint, you may have an aching facial pain.

  4. The most common and typical symptom of TMJ is of pain while chewing. Your pain may progressively get worse over time if you have a deteriorating condition.

  5. Pain in and around the ears may also be a symptom of TMJ disorders.

  6. Difficulty in opening or closing your jaw either due to stiffness, pain or both.

Treatment-

Treatments vary between various methods and approaches and the severity of the pain or condition and the underlying causes. Some of the options are:

  1. Oral Medications – Pain killers, muscle relaxants and anti–inflammatory medications are usually prescribed to reduce pain while the jaw may be healing or for underlying causes that may result in pain.

  2. Physical Therapies – This is another common method wherein the doctors may use a device to keep the jaw stiff or stop them from moving in a particular way in which it causes pain. Mouth guards or oral splints are such devices. Dislocation may have to be corrected by physical pressure and setting the bone back into the joint as well.

  3. SurgeryIn certain cases, surgery may also be required to correct chronic pain, especially wherein the underlying condition may keep causing problems.

My girlfriend is having something like Vagismus as per symptoms. Few months ago, penetration was so easier during sex. Now I am unable to penetrate like there is no vaginal opening but a week ago we did intercourse after a gap of one month to check whether vaginal opening is there or not. Dyspareunia is pain prior to, during, or after, sexual intercourse. Dyspareunia is more common in women but can affect either sex. Many women will experience dyspareunia at some time in their life. Sometimes a medial or physical etiology may not be obvious and psychosocial factors also can play an important role. In men, dyspareunia can be related to an allergic reaction to a condom or spermicidal. An infection of the prostate or prostatitis may also cause pain. If a female partner has a vaginal infection or dryness, the male can experience discomfort during intercourse. Dyspareunia can have several different causes. For instance, Vaginismus is a “spasm” or contractions of the muscles surrounding the vagina. Women with Vaginismus have pain with insertion of tampons as well as with penile penetration. Homeopathy is one of the most popular holistic systems of medicine. The selection of remedy is based upon the theory of individualization and symptoms similarity by using holistic approach. This is the only way through which a state of complete health can be regained by removing all the sign and symptoms from which the patient is suffering. The aim of homeopathy is not only to treat dyspareunia but to address its underlying cause and individual susceptibility. As far as therapeutic medication is concerned, several remedies are available to cure dyspareunia that can be selected on the basis of cause, sensations and modalities of the complaints.  You can easily take an online consultation for further treatment guidance

When the baby is in her mother womb there will be some liquid waste in her mother womb. Then how baby will survive? Does that liquid doesn't go to her mouth, nose, eyes etc. Please explain ne doctor.

MBBS, DNB (Obstetrics and Gynecology), MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology

When the baby is in her mother womb there will be some liquid waste in her mother womb. Then how baby will survive? D...
Yes. Once babies develop cardiac and renal systems, their kidneys begin to process fetal blood flow and create urine, which is subsequently peed out into the surrounding amniotic fluid. Fetal urine is a big source of amniotic fluid past the first few months of pregnancy! As for where it goes...babies constantly swallow and process amniotic fluid over and over throughout gestation, which means just about every human being has swallowed and digested their own pee. Medical implications of this: one of the causes of polyhydramnios (too much amniotic fluid) is when a baby is unable to swallow. On the other end of the spectrum, oligohydramnios (too little amniotic fluid) can be caused by fetal kidney failure.

Which Oil Is Best

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Homeopath,
Which Oil Is Best

Coconut oil and cholesterol

About 70% of the fats in coconut oil are saturated fatty acids known to raise cholesterol. Another 14% or so are shorter chain fats called mcts, whose effects on cholesterol appear to be neutral. About 3% of the fat is stearic acid, which also doesn't affect cholesterol. Coconut oil also contains small amounts of mono- and poly-unsaturated fats, which are not thought to raise cholesterol

 Mustard oil and cholesterol

Fats, oilseeds, and nuts play an important role in our diets. Mustard oil is a type of fat, which is extracted from mustard seeds through pressing of seeds and is filtered using the distillation process. Mustard oil has got a typical pungent and sharp flavor that is because of the presence of a compound called allyl isothiocyanate. This oil has about 60% monounsaturated fatty acids (mufa), 21% polyunsaturated fats (pufa) and about 12% saturated fats. A higher amount of mufa and pufa distinguishes it from other types of fats. These fatty acids are also called 'good fats' as they do not get deposited on arterial walls. Mustard oil contains glucosinolate, which basically works against microbes and adds on to the oil's health benefits.

Hot packs are very effective

Hot packs are very effective
Hot packs are very effective as they dilate blood vessels and increase blood flow, delivering needed nutrients and oxygen to cells in the area being heated, aiding the removal of cell waste and promoting healing.
