I am male and have leg pain every night. I apply cream but its not working what should I do now?

I am male and have leg pain every night. I apply cream but its not working what should I do now?
For your leg pain try icing, do it for 20-30 minutes every 3 to 4 hours for 2 to 3 days, or until the pain is gone, together with reduced mileage or rest. Addressing the causes is likely to include ensuring that shoes have adequate cushioning and stability take anti-inflammatory painkillers. Do range-of-motion exercises. Go to physiotherapist to identify and treat issues in your legs or walking mechanics that may be causing pain. A therapist can also help ease the pain and guide your return to normal life. Best wishes.

Hi lybrate-user thanks for giving me an opportunity to answer your question. Causes for the pain can be various. Most common cause are tender points over your painful area. It's released after massage as told by you. To find a permanent solution you need to do with selective exercises and stretching. N we need to identify the cause for paim first. Best way to find a solution is. 1. Hot water pack than massage over the area 2. Get exercises for trapezius muscle for upper middle and lower fibres. 3. Stretching of trapezius, rhomideous major and minor muscles. Get an text, audio or video consultation. Regards.

My wife is heavy weight and due to this she getting pains is all body joints. What to do. Her age is 41, weight is 78 and height is 150 cm. She is also having varicose veins.

Dip. SICOT (Belgium), MNAMS, DNB (Orthopedics), MBBS
Orthopedist, Delhi
Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. She might be having leg pains because of varicose veins only for which a vascular surgeon is the best person to manage because it requires clinical examination and some tests before treatment can be initiated. I will advise you some blood tests which she should get them done empty stomach, cbc, esr, crp, serum electrolytes, serum vitamin d levels and thyroid profile. Once you have the results of these investigations, then you can send me the reports so that I can prescribe accordingly. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.
