Glowing Skin - Homemade And Natural Face Masks for it!

Glowing Skin - Homemade And Natural Face Masks for it!

Some people have a so-called natural glow around them with warmth exuding from their smiles. It often leaves us wondering in envy how they got it. We then like to tell ourselves that we are working too hard, sleeping too less, and not eating too well. All of which is affecting our skin. Even if you have a super busy lifestyle, take 15 minutes of time in a week can change the way your skin feels, slow down ageing and add a glow. That's right, just 15 minutes. And once you see how well 15 minutes is working for you, you'll simply want to add time every day to make you feel better.

Here are some natural face masks that can be made at home to get a quick home facial.

1. Cucumber and lime juice face mask: Cucumber and lime juice are both known for their skin lightening effect. Combined together, this mask works great for oily skin.

Ingredients: One tablespoon cucumber juice, one teaspoon lime juice, and one teaspoon turmeric. You can add one teaspoon of glycerin if your skin is dry.

Mix all the ingredients and apply on all parts of your face including under the eyes. Leave it on for 15 minutes and wash with cold water. Use this mask every week for good results.

2. Banana face mask: This one is super simple to make. Blend one ripe banana with 2 teaspoons of honey. Apply on your face and leave it on for 15 minutes. Wash it off first with lukewarm water and then with cold water.

3. Oatmeal face mask: This face mask is especially useful for people with oily skin as it absorbs oil from the pores and effectively cures itchiness and other skin problems too. Blend oatmeal with warm water. To this mix, a teaspoon of honey, lemon juice, and yogurt and allow it to completely dry on your face. You'll feel your skin tighten as this happens. Wash it off with lukewarm water.

4. Breadcrumbs face mask: Mix breadcrumbs with fresh cream and keep aside for two minutes until the bread soaks some of the milk and becomes soft. Apply this on your face and leave it on for 15 minutes and wash with lukewarm water.

5. Lettuce face mask: Lettuce seems to be an unusual ingredient for a facemask but you have to use it to see how well it works. After all having it in your salad is a great option but its vitamin A and K work wonders on your skin from the outside too. For this mask, take two big lettuce leaves and cover them up with olive oil. Cover your face with the leaves for 20 mins and rinse immediately with a cotton ball soaked in warm milk followed by lukewarm water. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a dermatologist.

I am 54 years old and have undergone a bypass surgery in august, 2014. I wish to know what is the treatment available for peyronies and can it be cured with ayurveda?

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

Peyronies disease is connected with scars along penile curvature and nothing to do with bypass surgery. You may try such med which are used for abnormal tissue growth but ayd is for long term treatment but without side effects. Effect will depend on body response. If you need please send reports and diagnostic prescription via image.

My brother doesn't study properly he cannot grasp anything or concentrate on studies. What can I do can I give him saraswathi churanam for remembrance or what can I do suggest some remedy for him to study.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
You can give im the churnam and motivate with study tips .If he feel excessive sleep or tiredness/ head spinning or vertigo like feeling you have to make sure you have no anaemia or hypothyroidism by doing a blood CBC & TSH and inform me directly 10 Study Tips to Improve Your Learning Study Tip 1: Underlining Underlining is one of the simplest and best known study tips. It’s easy to highlight the most significant parts of what you’re reading. One key sentence per paragraph and a few important phrases here and there. You can only retain a certain amount so it’s best to retain the most important information. Study Tip 2: Make your own note and taking notes is one of the most widespread study skills out there. Essentially the aim of note-taking is to summarise lectures or articles in your own words so you can easily remember the ideas. Study Tip 3: Mind mapping A good Mind map can save you many hours of study and further consolidate your knowledge for your exams. Mind Maps are an extremely versatile tools. They can be used for brainstorming, outlining essays or study topics and for general exam preparation, ExamTime offers the ability to create Mind Maps quickly and easily which makes them the ideal tool when it comes to exams. Study Tip 4: Flash cards:- Using these are a particularly effective method of learning when trying to assimilate different facts, dates, formulas or vocabulary. Subjects such as History, Physics, Maths, Chemistry, Geography or any language are made much easier if you incorporate Flashcards in to your study. Study Tip 5: Case Studies Sometimes it can be difficult to grasp the implications of some theories. This is where studying case studies can be a big help. Case studies can help you visualise a theory and place it in a more familiar and realistic context. This is especially useful in business or law subjects. Study Tip 6: Quizzes are an excellent way to review study notes in the weeks and days before an exam. Quizzes can show where your strengths and weaknesses are, so it allows you to focus your efforts more precisely. Moreover, if you share your Study Quiz with your classmates and test each other as much as possible you can discover even more details and areas you may have overlooked. So before any exam, make sure you create and share a bunch of different Quizzes with your Friends. Study Tip 7: Brainstorming This is another study technique that is ideal for studying with friends and/or classmates. Brainstorming is a great way to expand every possible idea out of any topic. Just get a bunch of friends together and shoot the breeze, there are no wrong answers when brainstorming – just talk and capture the ideas, you can review afterward. Study Tip 8: Mnemonic Rules Mnemonics are especially useful when memorising lists and sets. Mnemonics rules basically work by associating certain concepts with other concepts that are more familiar to us. There are many different ways to make mnemonics and these can be individual to the person. Study Tip 9: ORGANISE your study One of the most effective study skills is also one of the most often overlooked; this is organising your study. Creating a TIME TABLE gives you goals and a time in which to achieve them. Having a study timetable as you study is greatly motivational Study Tip 10: Drawing Many people find it easier to recall images rather than text that is why they are better able to memorise concepts if they associate them with pictures or drawings. If you find answer helpful please click on “helpful” tab for knowing my efforts are useful.

To increase your breast size: no medicine can increase breast size. No peels or massage can ever alter size. Breast implant is most effective and common procedure to increase size of breast. In this procedure silicon implant of desisted size is pushed under breast tissue. Procedure is done under anesthesia so there is no question of pain. Patient can go home in 3 to 4 hrs. You just need to wear supporting bra for some time and can return to work next day. Externally the look and feel of breast is just like natural young breast. Within few hrs you will regain your confidence and have attractive chest figure. In future pregnancy there is no problem in breast feeding. There is no risk of any major illness or disease associated with this procedure. Implants available in different size.

Dear doctor, I am 35 years old and my wife is 29 years old. We got married 2 years ago. My wife got pregnant last year. During her pregnancy she had hyperemesis and other than she was alright. Usg findings were all normal. 1 week after taking the 20 week scan (which was perfectly ok) my wife had spotting following which we took another scan as per doctors advice. It showed that her amniotic fluid index was 17 and otherwise everything including our baby was normal. Following this she was on bed rest and she had blood stained discharge per vaginum. Exactly one week later she had labor pain and was taken to labor. There the scan showed an amniotic fluid index 27 but baby was perfectly ok. She expelled baby on same day which could not survive as it was only 22 weeks. Chromosomal studies showed the baby had no chromosomal anomalies. My wife had no infections during pregnancy and her rbs was normal (82) when checked it earlier during pregnancy and it was 165 when she was in the labor room. Her mother and maternal grandparents have history of diabetes. Mellitus. She is a doctor and had to go through much workload and stress during her pregnancy. What is the reason for polyhydramnios in her case? what should we do to avoid this in her next pregnancy and make it safe?
