I'm a 26 years old Indian guy and have neck and face very darker than my rest of the body, maybe due to tan or because I did not take care of it and don't use any facewash, moisturiser etc and handled the teenage pimples in a rough way so I developed patchy marks kind of uneven tone. Face was oily but it turned kind of dry due to my flaky dandruff issue. What Treatment/Creams can be done to make my skin tone even and similar to my other body?

* When you apply any cream, sun screen and the like, clean your face at the earliest, so that there will be no adverse action of the chemicals on the delicate skin of face. *For your information, many skin creams (mostly fairness cream brands) are considered harmful and banned by Central Govt, Health ministry during March, 2016. The Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL) supported the ban. *Your skin ‘breaths’ through its pores which are not to be closed for long. Blocking pores by creams may cause more pimples. HOMOEOPATHIC medicines are taken internally. Hence, NO DIRECT CONTACT with your delicate and sensitive skin, thereby no problem of skin allergy. Homoeopathy has good treatment without causing adverse effects. The medicines work internally, tackle the root of the problem unlike face cream which is a surface treatment. Take Antim crd 200—once daily in the morning.

How Is Laser Helpful For The Wrinkles?

How Is Laser Helpful For The Wrinkles?

There is a wide range of options to get rid of wrinkles. Laser treatments are considered to be one of the best ways to eradicate wrinkles for a long time. There are other treatments such as microdermabrasion, photo facials, and chemical peels as well. Dermal fillers are used to treat deep wrinkles. Wrinkles of the forehead and the eye are best treated with Dysport and botox.

There are other treatments such as microdermabrasion, photo facials, and chemical peels as well. Dermal fillers are used to treat deep wrinkles. Wrinkles of the forehead and the eye are best treated with Dysport and botox.

How Does Laser Work?

Laser treatments such as the Fraxel and the fractional CO2 make tiny pores in the skin. These pores or incisions have two purposes. The first is to make sure that the skin produces collagen and the second is to ensure that the skin heals quickly. The laser can address wrinkles in areas such as eye, face, hands and legs. Out of all the treatment plans, laser treatment is by far the costliest one. They are typically used by maxillofacial surgeons having in-depth knowledge of physiology. Treatment of this kind might require more than one session depending on the extent of wrinkles.

How Does Dermal Filler Work?

Dermal fillers are a popular method to address wrinkles and are used to destroy wrinkles around the mouth and the eye. Lasers can also diminish hollowness and dark circles near the eye. Moreover, they are very effective in making up the lost volumes of the jawline, temples, and cheeks. Dermal fillers, however, last for about a year and needs to be redone to hold on to the facial changes. They are typically safe and contain limited side effects. A consulting session with the doctor will help to know more about the potential risk of this treatment.

Removing wrinkles from under the eye-

Botox and Dysport are two of the most popular options to get rid of wrinkles under the eye region. While lasers can diminish the appearance of wrinkles, botox and Dysport can permanently get rid of it. They also ensure that the wrinkles do not come back for quite some time. Some other wrinkles that botox and Dysport can fix include wrinkles of the forehead, eye, and the brows.

How Effective Are Wrinkle Creams?

In comparison to botox and lasers, wrinkle creams are far less effective. This being said, they are extremely popular for the fact that they are readily available over the counter and are very cheap. Most wrinkle creams contain retinol that helps to increase collagen production and stimulate turnover of the skin. Wrinkle creams that are designed for the eye do not contain retinol since they are an eye irritant and can cause damage to the eye. These creams also contain anti-oxidants that help the collagen to hold their own and stop the interference of free radicals.

Skin Discoloration - What to Expect?

Skin Discoloration - What to Expect?

Injury, lingering infirmity deprives the body of the nutrients which are necessary for healthy skin, inflammatory diseases, several hours of heat and sun exposure or contact with sun can all cause discolored skin. If Melanin (whichever of the diverse black, dark brown, auburn, or yellow color of living things as skin color or hair color and eye color) is produced in abundance due to some physiological imbalances, it can result in that area of the body to get darker than the rest.

On the other hand, if there is a decrease in Melanin production then you could get lighter skin patches known as Vitiligo . While most pigmentation anomaly entails patches of skin, others affect the entire body. Depending on the two different conditions the terms hyper-pigmentation (excessive) and hypo-pigmentation (moderate) have been coined. Most women face problems of hyper-pigmentation during pregnancy and after child birth due to over secretion of hormones. 'Mask of pregnancy' is a new age term given to this condition in pregnant women. Most cases are reversible; some might last an entire lifetime, if medical attention is not available at the right time. Hypo-pigmentation should not be mistaken with Albinism, which is a genetic condition.

Albinism is characterized by almost no secretion of melanin. Staying out for very long hours in the sun may cause sunburns, when the skin turns brown or red according to one’s color, once this condition heals (after most of the burnt or dead skin peels off), the tanned portions may remain. Fungal contamination such as ringworm may set off stained skin patches. A compromised immune system can result in discolored skin as well. A frequent allergy that causes skin to get discolored is eczema. Birthmarks are also a kind of discolored skin.

It is wise for you to visit a dermatologist when you start noticing a sudden change in your skin color for no apparent reason, a patch that does not get relieved by OTC medicines or experience a burning or itching sensation on the skin etc. A dermatologist after evaluating your skin and putting you through a couple of basic questions would recommend ointments and oral medicines. He/she may also ask for blood tests to get done. Treatment would solely depend on the primary cause.

Treatment and prevention

  1. In general, most skin discoloration issues can be dealt with the help of creams containing glycolic acid, hydroquinone, lactic acid and retinoid. These are easily available in the market.
  2. But care must be taken to not expose yourself to the harmful UV rays of the sun. A sunscreen with the correct SPF count is a must before you venture outdoors. Remember that one should not skip the sunscreen even during the winters.
  3. Laser therapy and chemical peels will only be considered once topical treatment fails.
  4. Your diet should include plenty of vegetables and fruits; consume plenty of fluids to flush out toxins. Regular exercising promotes better blood circulation that helps prevent such issues concerning discoloration.

Supplements of Vitamins A,C and E are also prescribed in combination with Vitamin B to improve the overall skin condition. Simple home remedies including lime juice, milk, curd and honey applied on the affected spots with homemade scrubs can help remedy the issue. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Dermatologist.

Hi, here are some tips for fairer and flawless skin: -soak some almonds in water overnight, remove their skin in the morning and grind them. Add a teaspoon of gram fluor, one teaspoon of milk and 4 drops of lime juice. Make a paste, mix it well and apply it on your face. Regular massage gives you long lasting clear and fair skin. -turmeric is good ingredient for skin. Make a face pack with mixture of turmeric and milk. Apply this and wash off after an hour with cold water for glowing skin. -mix papaya and honey and mash it. Apply and wash after 20 minutes. Use this face pack every other day for a naturally spotless fair skin. This pack also eliminates the sun tanning which causes patchiness on the skin and the dark spots or the pimple marks which will refrain the skin from looking spotless. -take one tomato, grate it well and mix it with 3-4 drops of lime juice. Apply it on your face wait for 15 minutes and then rinse it off. Repeat it daily and feel the change on your face. -a mixture of egg white, milk cream and honey works excellent against skin tanning. Mix tomato juice with honey or yogurt and apply it daily on skin to remove tanning. -make dilute paste of mint leaves and almond seeds with warm water. Wash your face and neck with this water and wash again with clean warm water. You can add mint leaves in regular bathing water to get glow and freshness to your skin. Use schwabe's skin care soap, apply calendula & aloe vera cream immediately after bathing, apply bakson's suncare sunscreen 20-30 min. Before going out under the sunlight. At night, use bakson's papaya pack and after washing face apply it's fairness cream. Above all, regular exercise (yoga, gymnastic, aerobics etc), intake of healthy nutritious food, keeping a positive attitude, avoiding stress/ anger/ anxiety/ fear/ jealousy/ aggressive nature as much as possible as it affects skin, its colour and glow!

I have eye bags problem .i'm just of 18 years .my face looks dull and oily in afternoon .and I have pimples on my face.

I have eye bags problem .i'm just of 18 years .my face looks dull and oily in afternoon .and I have pimples on my face.
Bags under the eyes may be caused by a variety of reasons including age, fluid retention, consumption of salty food, allergies, lack of sleep, stress. As we age, our skin loses its elasticity due to the loss or reduction of collagen production which provides support to the tissue and muscle supporting the eyelid. The skin then sags and the fat that is normally confined to the orbit moves down. Similarly, lack of sleep, stress and a work routine that demands constantly staring at a computer screen, can all lead to dark circles and bags under the eyes. This makes us look tired and less than appealing. Also, the space below your eyes can accumulate fluid, making the under-eye area appear puffy or swollen. Treatment modalities include blepharoplasty and fat grafting. Also hydrate your body, drink as much water as possible. Yes, it seems counter-intuitive when you are retaining water, but hydrating reduces puffiness. So drink a glass of water whenever you notice your eyes getting a little droopy. Consult a oculoplastic surgeon for the same. Regards
