Bleach causes skin damage resulting in hyperpigmentation at times. Scars and marks can be removed by chemical peels and and microdermabrasion which can be done fortnightly and usually 6-8 sittings will clear the face. Secondly some creams are there which can reduce the pigmentation.Always use sunscreen whenever you go out in sun. Please send photos for accurate diagnosis and prescription.

Breast Augmentation - What to Expect from the Procedure?

In today’s world, females have advance techniques available for shaping up their breasts. It is a part of their overall persona and beauty. Breast augmentation is one of the greatest plastic surgery operations that is done in hospitals across the globe. 

Gone are the days, when you would sit back at home and blame nature for your saggy breasts. You have the gift of plastic surgery at your rescue. Breast augmentation can enhance the beauty of your breast and uplift its features. In this process, the implant is put under the pectoral muscle so that you can still breastfeed your infant if needed.
The process is executed with the help of a small 4 cm incision. The recovery process takes a week’s time. Breast augmentation can be carried out in a surgical centre or in any hospital’s outpatient facility. It doesn’t require a hospital stay in most cases. In some selected cases only, the procedure is done using local anaesthesia. In those cases, the patient stays awake. The breast region is made numb.

What to expect during the procedure?

The woman opting this must know what all are expected to happen during the procedure. The surgeon will insert the breast implant by making a single cut in one of the following three areas:

1. In the crease under breast 
2. Underarm (axillary)
3. Around the nipple (periareolar)

After the incision is done, the surgeon will try and separate the breast tissue from the patient’s muscles and connective tissue. This will lead to the creation of a pocket either behind or in front of the pectoral muscle. After this, the surgeon will put the implant into the newly-created pocket. It will be centred behind the nipple. 

Saline implants are put in an empty form and then filled with sterile salt water. Silicone implants are, however, pre-filled with silicone gel. After the implant is over, the cut is stitched with sutures and the skin is bandaged with adhesive and tape.

What to expect after the procedure?
For a few weeks, the patient might experience Soreness and swelling. It is also possible to develop bruises. Your scars will fade away with time. It is quite possible that the scars will not vanish permanently ever in your lifetime. You must wear a compression or sports bra at the time of healing. You might be required to take painkillers, as advised by the surgeon.

DO’S In Gastritis: Chew your food properly. Eat SLOWLY. Many people find it so hard to do this. Taking meals'on the run' is a no-no, Chew and swallow food slowly. Be relaxed when you are eating, Sit upright or even stand up when you eat, Choose low fat foods rather than fatty foods, Finish eating at least two hours before you go to bed, Drink Water - lots of it! In most cases, a glass of water can relieve abdominal pains within ten minutes. Eat three small meals plus three snacks per day. Eat regularly to avoid periods of hunger. DO not: Try not to drink too much tea or coffee - caffeine raises acid levels. Avoid food sources like dairy products, cola beverages, fatty and fried foods, tomato products, and hot spices. Try abstaining from alcohol - it also raises acid levels. Smoking - nicotine also raises acid levels. Try not to use any form of aspirin (check those packaging inserts) Painkillers and arthritis medications (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or NSAID's) which contain ibuprofen (again, check those packaging inserts) can cause ulcers and delay the healing process Antacids should be used sparingly or avoided - most antacids contain magnesium and can cause diarrhea. Stop eating any food that causes discomfort - even if it tastes nice! Foods that are well toleratedVegetables - Fresh, frozen, or canned. Vegetables, Okra, sweet potatoes, squash, yams, broccoli, brussel sprouts, bean sprouts, carrots and carrot juice, potatoes, cabbage juice. Fruit - Papaya, avocados, bananas, Blue grapes, almonds and almond milk and any other fresh, frozen, and canned fruits. High-fiber foods - Brown rice, barley, oats, are helpful as they can naturally coat and soothe your stomach lining. Eggs - 3-4 egg yolks per week maximum. Smooth peanut butter -Fresh, frozen, and canned fruits. Meat in small 6oz portions at most - lean beef, pork, lamb, veal, crispy bacon, lean ham, and skinless poultry. Fish - All fresh, frozen, or canned fish packed in water. Foods to be avoided or that are not well toleratedThe foods listed below are to be totally avoided or taken in little amounts if it doesn't aggravate the symptoms. Abrasive roughage - like bran, nuts, popcorn, and seeds. Red meat in large quantities - animal proteins are high in acids. High-fat breads and cereals such as croissants, biscuits and crackers, and granola-based cereals. Also breads with nuts or dried fruit, or seeds. Wild rice. Raw vegetables, corn, tomatoes and tomato based products. Berries, figs, lemons, grapefruit, oranges, pineapples, and tangerines. Orange, pineapple and grapefruit juice. Highly processed or seasoned meats or poultry or fish - such as corned beef, polonies, sausages, sardines and anchovies. All fried or fatty meat, poultry, or fish. Snacks - Highly seasoned salad dressings, cakes, cookies, pies, pastries, chips, doughnuts, fried potatoes and buttered popcorn, Coconut, chocolate. Also sweets and desserts containing nuts, coconut or fruit should be avoided.

Don’t worry. You can lose weight easily if you are patient and determined to shed those extra kilos. You just have to alter your daily routine, watch what you eat and be physically active. This requires you to be on your weight loss commitment for quiet long. As soon as you start seeing the results, you will be surprised as well as motivated to go beyond your weight loss and adopt and a lifelong healthy attitude. For a start please follow: 1. Watch what you eat – Are you eating too much junk, drink excessive alcohol and eating too much white food and sugar? Please cut it down to as low as you can from tomorrow. Cut down tea/coffee if you are too addicted to it. It is creating havoc inside your body. 2. Lifestyle – Are you a late sleeper and late riser? You can’t imagine what this schedule of yours is doing to your metabolism. It is degrading your digestive system from inside and your looks from outside. 3. Physically active – If you are a couch potato who loves to watch tv whole day then throw that couch of yours in the street and get yourself a treadmill tomorrow. Yes it is as simple as that. Who is stopping you? You have to be physically active all day long if you want to burn those extra calories. Do daily brisk walk, Pranayam, atleast 20 surayanamaskar everyday to start seeing the results. Take break between office work to walk a little or rather just climb some stairs to get that food you ate in lunch have space and heat to digest and absorb. What’s the harm in using your washroom to do a little middle of the day squats. Do that – No one is watching you. The key is to stay physically active all day long, no matter what. 4. Eat healthy and eat on time: Not only eating healthy is important but eating at right time is equally imp too. Have an early breakfast and early dinner and have 4 small meals between breakfast and dinner. To guide you a bit, here you go: A. Breakfast (Between 8-10 a. M) – Have oats/porridge or brown bread with milk and nuts. B. At 11 a. M - Cup of Green Tea c. Mid day meal (around 12 p. M) – Have a bowl of fruits. Citrus fruits are best taken during this hour and absorb well in the body. Have oranges, amla, pineapple etc during this hour. D. Lunch (between 2-3 p. M) – Daal, roti, mix veg, buttermilk and salad. You can also take brown rice with daal in lunch. Try to get your food cooked in olive oil. Lace your salad with apple cider vinegar, black pepper and seeds like flaxseeds or chia seeds to make it nutrition packed lunch. E. Between 4 p. M – 5 p. M – Cup of Green Tea F. Evening (4-6 p. M) – Have some nice sprouts with tomatoes and cucumber. G. Dinner (2 hours before sleeping, preferably before 9 p. M) – Paneer & veggies salad with olive oil, Roti or brown rice with Daal. H. Have a glass of warm milk. Weight loss is 80% about what you eat and 20% about exercises. That said, both the things go hand in hand. If you want to lose weight in a more healthy way than be patient and just follow the regimen everyday. Slow and steady wins the race.

The reason may be infection or poor hygiene. Maintain hygiene, use cotton undergarment. Don't use ordinary soap in that area. Get blood sugar tested. And if still persists, consult gynecologist.

Causes of Ailments

We can classify diseases and ailments into three categories broadly.
1- Those brought on by our own indiscretion, say in food, or exposure to elements.
2- Those brought on by seasonal changes.
3- Those that constitute payment of karmic deeds.
The first two kinds get easily cured by taking medicines, modification in our lifestyle, following diet and yoga exercises. In the third kind, however, the best medical treatment proves ineffective.
Such a disease leaves a person only when the karmic debt has been paid off. Chronic diseases quite often fall in the third category. It does not mean we should give up treatment. The treatment, the fees that we pay, may well be a part of the payment that has to be made.

My wife is 52 yrs. For the past ten years she is taking tablets for Type 2 diabetes, blood pressure, vertigo and depression. She reached menopause state 2 years back. She is complaining that few tablets such as gluconorm G1, neurobion forte, menopace ISO that she consumes is being passes out intact (unchanged and unabsorbed) in the faeces for past 2 yrs. Further she says that some cooked vegetables like greens, carrot passes out without digestion and found appeared in faeces .She feels that there is no use of consuming these tablets/ vegetables and stopped taking it. She breaks down some tablets into pieces and consumes it. Please explain the reason for it. Further I request the ways and means to improve digestion and absorption. Pl suggest medicines to improve digestion and absorption.

Please make sure your wife consumes the tablets properly as advised. Some tablets are filmcoated so the coating may pass in stools looking like the tablets but the medication is still effective. Consult her psychiatrist again because it seems her depression has reemerged which is common in patients of long standing illnesses especially diabetes. A diet rich in fibre will help her digestion. Please also get her general checkup including blood sugars and hba1c and blood pressure rechecked if she hasn't been regular with her medication.

I am a student and I sleep only 6:30 hours only. Is that an issue? and how much time does a student sleep?

Just like we need a good rest after a strenuous day, same is with the body. Rest plays an important role in body development. Lack of sleep results in many disorders.

Combining a high calorie intake with heavy strength training are the two most important factors to gain weight. That being said, here are a few more tips to gain weight even faster: Don’t drink water before meals. This can fill your stomach and make it harder to get in enough calories. Eat more often. Squeeze in an additional meal or snack whenever you can, such as before bed. Drink milk. Drinking whole milk to quench thirst is a simple way to get in more high-quality protein and calories. Try weight gainer shakes. If you are really struggling then you can try weight gainer shakes. These are very high in protein, carbs and calories. Use bigger plates. Definitely use large plates if you are trying to get in more calories, as smaller plates cause people to automatically eat less. Add cream to your coffee. This is a simple way to add in more calories. Take creatine. The muscle building supplement creatine monohydrate can help you gain a few pounds in muscle weight. Get quality sleep. Cause of discoloration ? Smoking, coffee, tea, drugs, aging, staining food (wine, blueberry, etc) genetics. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with whitening (bleaching) procedures and / or artificial enamel filling. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Use Snowdent tooth paste for whitening until then. Apply SNOWDENT paste on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min .Then brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight for better results. DENTAL TIPS: - Visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. HOME BLEACH FOR THE TEETH Here is home remedy for brighter teeth--- mix several teaspoons of baking soda with enough fresh lemon juice (or water) to make a paste. Wipe your teeth and any extra saliva off of them with a paper towel. Put a good amount of paste onto your toothbrush and apply. Leave the paste on for 1 minute, then rinse, so as to avoid the acid effecting enamel. If you are using just water you can leave it on for up to 3 minutes. For faster result you can go for teeth bleaching from dentist.
