Eyes are very important organs as they provide you with the ability to process visual detail and detect light. However, because your eyes are exposed to harsh climate and pollutants, they can get spoilt. Eye Yoga is an ancient method of relaxing your eyes and is also known as “palming”. All you need to do is cup your palms and place them over closed eyes in a way wherein your fingertips are touching your forehead. This helps in blocking out light completely.

Hi,

My name is Dr. Neeraj Sanduja and me aaj apko age related macular degeneration ke bare btaunga. Basically ye retina ki problem hoti hai jo age ke hisab se kisi me bhi dekhi ja skti hai. Iske 2 stages hote hain: dry or wet. Dry me roshni kam hoti hai. Wet me bleeding ho jati hai or patient ko center me ek black patch dikhne lag jata hai or akshar thode tede mede dikhte hain. Durr ka nhi dikhta hai or jhan bhi dekhta hai, vhan center se kala or side se nazar aata hai. Iske kuch risk factors bhi hote hain jaise ultraviolet rays kafi role play krti hai. Diet me agar anti-oxidants nhi hai, us se bhi iske risk hote hain. Genetics bhi iska ek karan hai. Patient jab hmare pas aat hai to ek routine eye check-up hota hai.

Jisme agar hum dekhen ki dry hai to hum use anti-oxidants capsule dete hain. Vo in dhabbon ki rok tham krta hai. Or bleeding hone se rokta hai. Agar ye wet hota hai to isme khas injections lgaye jate hain kuch test krne ke baad. Injections bleeding ko rokte hain but ye injection 1 month ke lia hi kam krta hai. To isme hume 3 injections lgane hota hain 3 months ke treatment ke lia. Isme kayi medicines bhi use ki jati hain. Isme vision ya to ruk jati hai or kuch cases me improve bhi hoti hain. 100% improvement nhi hogi. Isme hum patient ko ek chart bhi dete hain jis se vo dusri aankh ko bhi monitor krta hai. Patient ko hum 4-6 months me review krte hain. Agar bich me koi problem aaye to patient hume aake dikha skta hai.

Thank You.

Hi,

My main is Dr. Neeraj Sanduja and me aaj apko btanne ja rha hun vo hai cataract ke ...

Hi,

My main is Dr. Neeraj Sanduja and me aaj apko btanne ja rha hun vo hai cataract ke bare me. Cataract or safed motiya hota kya hai? Hmari aankh ki banavat ek camera ki trha hoti hai. Isme aage putli hoti hai, bich me lens hota hai, or piche retina hota hai. Jo image hai vo cornea ke through jati hai or retina pe focu hoti hai. Motiya me aankhon ka lens safed hone lag jata hai or ise hum cataract bolte hain. Iske kayi karan hai. Pehla karan hai age. Umar ke hisab se sab logon me ye problem milti hai. Iski shurat 50 saal ke bad hoti hai. Lekin kuch logon me cataract jldi aa jata hai jaise ki diabetics me ya injured eye ho. Even bachon me bhi cataract paya jata hai jise hum congenital ya developmental cataract bolte hain.

Question ye hai ki cataract ke symptoms kya honge? Pehle hai ki apki aankhon ki roshni kam hone lag jati hai. Kayi baar apki aankhon ki roshni din me kam ho jati hai or shaam ke time jyada ho jati hai. Even light ke around hellos nazar aane lag jate hain. To ye iske symptoms hain. Cataract rokne ke lia koi bhi medicine nhi bani hai jis se ye roka ja ske. Cataract age ke sath aata hai like after 50, 60 or 80. Surgery apko tbhi hi suggest ki jati hai jab apko day to day acclivity me problem ho. Pehle ke time according apka cataract remove tab kia jata tha jab vo badh jata tha lekin aaj kal treatment bhut advance hain. Aaj kal ki surfgery immature cataract me hi jki jati hai.

Jab apki roshni chashme ki help se bhi nhi badh rhi hai. Cataract surgery me jo latest treatment hai vo hai phocoemulsification technique. Jisko normal language me laser waves bolte hain. Iske throught hum bhut hi chote incision se andar jake cataract ko dissolve kar dete hain. Or ek fine lens apki ankhon me hum lag dete hai. Or is se aap apni ankho ki roshni ko restore kar lete hain. Lens jo aankh ke andar lgaya jata hai, ultrasound A-scan ke through power ko control kia jata hai or machine se lens ko aankh ke andar fir kar dia jata hai. Eyes ke anadar jo lens lgaye jate hain vo 2-3 types ke hote hain. Monofical lens ya to durr ki roshni ko thik krta hai ya paas ki nazar ko. And multifocal lens apke nazadik and durr ki roshni ko thik krte hain.

Lekin maximum time monofocal lens lgaye jate hain quki ye crystal clear hote hain. Is s night driving me dikkat nhi aati hai. Kuch logon ko multifocal lens ke sath chashma bhi lagana pad jata hai. Surgery ke baad kuch precautions leni hoti hain. Apko 1-2 weeks aankh me pani nhi dalna hota hai. Garam pani se eyelids ko clean krna hota hai taki koi infection na ho. Or hum apko eye drops bhi dete hain jo 4-6 weeks chalti hain. Or kuch lubricants drops 2 months ke lia chalti hai. Ye bhut hi simple surgery hai jo day in and out ka kam hai. Patient aata hai, surgery krata hai or fir ghar chala jata hai. To 2 hours ke andar apka sab kam ho jata hai.

Thank You.

Cataract: Causes, Symptoms, and Treatment

I am Dr Neeraj Sanduja, a retina specialist working in Fortis hospital and I have got my own Centre we are nine retina Centre Gurgaon. I will tell you briefly about cataract Safed Motia which is prone to occur in almost every patient with age. Jo cataract hota hai Safed Motia uska most common reason hai aap ki age jaise jaise age badti hai chances of cataract increases, iske alawa agar aapka high blood sugar level hai to bhi aapko cataract jaldi ho sakta hai. Even injury to the eye koi bhi traum ho therefore, ball lage aapki aankh pe, it can lead to cataract formation. Baccho mein bhi cataract ho jata hai, isko congenital cataract kehte hain, development lead cataract bolte hain. Toh yeh bahut zaroori hota hai cataract jaldi pata lage, isko time pe detect kiya jaye eye specialist se aur uska treatment kiya jaye. Cataract ke symptoms kya hote hain, isme usually kya hota hai aapki vision jo hoti hai woh dheere- dheere kam hone lag jati hai aap ko dur ki cheezein jo hain saaf nazar nahi aati hain, TV pe jo font hote hain woh aap ko saaf nazar nahi aa rahe hote, aap cricketers ka score acche se nahi pad pa rahe hote, even jawab drive kar rahe hote hain toh light aapko faily hui lag rahi hoti hai, yeh sab cheezein indicate karti hai ki aap ki aap ke saath kuch galat ho raha hai. So this is the time to you should go for an eye doctor to rule out whether you are having cataract or any other problem. Agar aap ka doctor, eye doctor aapko cataract diagnose karta hai to uska treatment sirf surgical treatment hota hai, koi medical treatment nahi hota hai iske liye. Surgical treatment mein hum microincision cataract surgery karte hain jo Phacoemulsification techniques se kiya jata hai, jisse bahut hai chote cheeray se, around 2 millimeter cheeray se, incision se hum cataract ko dissolve karke nikal lete hain aur uski jagah par artificial foldable intraocular lens ankh ke andar laga dete hain, jisse aap ki vision kafi acchi ho jati hai. Jo wo lenses hote hain woh monofocal hote hain matlab jo ki sirf dur ya nazdik ke liye kaam karenge. Multifocal bhi aate hain, multifocal mein aap ko dur aur nazdik dono jagah pe chashme ki requirement kam ho jati hai but uske sath kuch side effect bhi involved hote hain jaise aap ko night vision aapko driving me dikkat aati hai multifocal lenses ke sath. Toh good standard hum yehi kehke chalet hain ki monofocal lenses are the fantastic durable lenses. Surgery ke baad jo thoda bahut aapka glasses ka number badta hai, woh aapko chashmay de diye jate hain, surgery ke baad precaution bahut jyada nahi hoti hai sirf aapko ek se do hafte ke liye ankh me pani dalna hota hai aur dhul mitti se bachana hota hai aur aaj ke time mein jo surgery hai kafi predictable safe ho gayi hai aur surgery se related complication bahut kam ho gaye hain. Toh agar aapko koi bhi dikkat aati hai vision main, toh aapko apne eye doctor ko consult karna chahiye and he will decide that what problem you are having and what is the treatment.

Thank you very much.

Know the effects of Diabetes on your Eyes

I am Dr Neeraj Sanduja, I am a retina specialist working at Fortis Hospital Gurgaon. And I got my home Centre Viviana and Retina centre in Gurgaon. Today I will be telling you out on a very important disease, diabetes and its effects on eyes. Diabetes can affect your eyes in 3 ways, it can affect your retina the back part of the eye or it can lead to early cataract or it can lead to glaucoma, kalamotia. Majorly I will be telling you upon how diabetes affects your eyes leading to loss of vision. Diabetes, high blood sugar level can damage our retina by making our blood vessels weak and give some blood to the retina leading to diabetic retinopathy. Diabetic retinopathy can lead to vision loss in the significant proportion of patient if they don’t control their diabetes. Even if your blood pressure is high along with the high blood sugar it can affect your diabetic retinopathy in a very bad manner. Patient with diabetes may not be known whether he is having retinopathy or not. So, it is very important as soon as you have diagnosed you have diabetes you should go to a retina specialist for complete dilated fundus examination which includes retina examination and your eye protection checkup and your even vision checkup also. Retina specialist checks the retina and tells you whether your retina is affected by diabetes or not. In case you don't have any in Diabetic retinopathy, then we will call you after 1 year, in case diabetic retinopathy is there, it can be a mild type of diabetic retinopathy or it could be a severe type of diabetic retinopathy. So depending on the condition of the retina the treatment will be given as a diabetic, you may not have any symptoms initially because unless the central part of the retina maqualising valve your vision will be good or unless your blood vessels they start rupturing and bleeding inside the eye, leading to flashes and floaters inside the eye you may not know something is going wrong. So going to a regular check-up to an eye doctor is very important. Once as the retina specialist will see that diabetic retinopathy is there, we offer treatment in form of some special types of injection like anti-VEGF injection within the eye to reduce the swelling in the retina or even treatment is given in form of laser photocoagulation to stop the bleeding vessels from rupturing. Sometimes the bleeding is so extensive within the eye that, we may have to offer with track me surgery to take out the blood. First and foremost thing is that you need to control your blood sugar that is the only way you can get relief from diabetic retinopathy because if the diabetic retinopathy sets in your eyes, it's like a termite, it's like a deemak. So you have to live with that whole life and with timely treatment and prevention, you can get away from this problem.

Thank you very much.
