according her age its arthritis .X-Ray must. tk calcium supplements . do hot fomentations. avoid toward bending lifting weight. long standing, long sitting, for spine do gently stretch ur back muscle. for knee ...put a towel roll under knee and press for 10 second then release repeat 10 time twice a day. if it work then OK otherwise physiotherapy treatment must.

Hi you can put collar neck belt around the neck. Take tab. Neorelax Mr. 1-0-1x 15 days take tab pregabnyl 1-0-1 x 1 week. And apply nanofen gel to the affected part.

Hello Lybrate user according to Ayurveda Vata vikriti is the main factor for pain. Treatment- 1-apply prasarini oil or pranacharya restopain oil on your affected part and give hot water fomentation. 2-take yograj guggul and agni tundi vati after lunch and dinner with warm water. 3-Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. 4-Take pranacharya vatari capsule and syrup twice a day. Try few things for your back pain: - Apply Ice and Heat Heating pads and cold packs can comfort tender trunks. Most doctors recommend using ice for the first 48 hours after an injury -- particularly if there is swelling — and then switching to heat. You can use whichever you find comforting as long as your skin is protected. - Limit Bed Rest Studies show that people with short-term low-back pain who rest feel more pain and have a harder time with daily tasks than those who stay active. -Keep Exercising Activity is often the best medicine for back pain. Simple exercises like walking can be very helpful. But remember to move in moderation, Stay away from strenuous activities like gardening and avoid whatever motion caused the pain in the first place. -Maintain Good Posture most people have poor posture when going about their daily activities, putting unnecessary strain on their backs. -Strengthen Your Core Most people with chronic back pain would benefit from stronger abdominal muscles. If the abdominals are weak, other areas must pick up the slack. When we strengthen the abdominals, it often reduces the strain on the lower back. - Improve Flexibility Too much tension and tightness can cause back pain. By increasing flexibility you need to put an equal load throughout the body from the feet all the way up to the head. -Sleep the Right Way The amount of rest you get is important, and so is the position you get it in. Sleeping in a bad position or on a mattress without support can cause back pain. Back sleepers should put pillows under their knees. Side sleepers should place pillows between their knees to keep their spine in a neutral position. Stomach sleeping causes the neck and head to twist and can put undue stress on the back. -Use Relaxation Techniques Research shows that practices such as meditation, deep breathing and yoga, which help put the mind at rest, can do wonders for the back. -See a Specialist Developing an individualized exercise plan is essential to managing chronic back pain. Some patients need more core strengthening while others benefit mainly from stretching and improving flexibility. Please consult a Orthopedic Physiotherapist for the right exercise plan. Best wishes.

Thanks for the query. Most of the times if you have good recovery from hemiplegia you would be moving fingers and arms with reasonable amount of power. If you had not recovered then the chances of muscle power coming back is remote. It is best if you try physiotherapy to the fingers to keep the joints supple and mobile.

Hi, A common cause of ankle pain is a sprain, but a lot of other causes can lead to ankle pain. Consult a orthopedician or physiotherapist to have an accurate diagnosis. Advice: *Do Hot or cold or contrast bath: alternating cold and hot water bath with a ratio of 1: 2 mins (Like 2 min hot and one min cold water). * Avoid standing for long hours and walking bare foot. * Lose weight if you are overweight. •Do stretching of the muscles that support the ankle like calf muscle stretch. *Avoid sports and activities requiring high impact ground landing or stress foot like lawn tennis or basket ball or football specially without proper conditioning. *Make sure that shoes fit you properly. *Work on strengthening, balance and do agility exercises under physiotherapist supervision. Herniated Disc - Effects And Diagnosis

A Herniated disc also known as a slip disc or prolapsed disc and it refers to the problem where one of the discs located in between the bones of the vertebrae(backbone) gets damaged and stacks itself upon the nerves. The tender inner portion of the disc gets protruded over the outer ring. Herniated disc causes severe neck pain and back pain. It occurs when the outer ring gets weak and tears down. The most common symptoms include pain and numbness, especially on one side of the body. The pain extends down to the arms and legs. It worsens during nighttime. The muscles become weak. Overweight people are likely to have this disease, as the discs carry extra weight. Old people are vulnerable to a slip disc.

Effects of Herniated Disc:

  1. An untreated case of Herniated disc may cause permanent damage to the nerves.
  2. In certain cases, a Herniated disc is capable of cutting off nerve impulses to the "caudal equine"nerves, present in the lower back and legs. This leads to loss of bladder control or bowel control.
  3. Saddle anaesthesia is another long-term effect. Nerves are compressed by the slip disc, causing loss of sensation in the inner portions of your thighs, the back of your legs and surrounding the rectum region.
  4. Symptoms may improve or worsen.

Diagnosis of Herniated Disc:
Treatment or diagnosis of Herniated disc or slipped disc can be either conservative or surgical in nature. The nature of treatment is determined according to your discomfort level and the kind of pain you are experiencing, or how much the disc has slipped out.

  1. The pain caused by Herniated disc can be relieved by undertaking an exercise schedule, which includes stretching and strengthening the spine and its surrounding muscles.
  2. A physiotherapist should be appointed for recommending the types of exercises.
  3. Taking pain relievers also soothes the pain.
  4. Stronger medicines prescribed by doctors include-muscle relaxants, narcotics to deal with the pain, medicines for nerve pain such as "gabapentin"  or "duloxetine".
  5. In case of the symptoms not subsiding within a span of six weeks, a surgery may be recommended by your doctor. The surgeon may have to remove the damaged part of the disc. This surgery is called a microdiscectomy. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an orthopedist.

take rest properly. take hot fermentation twice daily. avoid forward bending and heavy lifting. avoid prolonged standing and sitting. do back strengthening excercise. avoid standing for longer time...not more than 20mts

My teeth are yellowish in colour after changing so many pastes also I have not found any cure. Please guide me. Another query is that I am having a back pain problem while traveling and sleeping what is the best cure so that there will be no more pain. My legs also get paining at night several times. First of all check your posture when you are lifting any material like heavy bucket. And try to lift the heavy bucket without bending your back. You may lift the bucket after bending your knees only. This will definitely help you. * gentle massage with lukewarm mustard oil of your waist area will also give you relief. * surya namaskar is only exercise which you need to do. * in diet vegetable protein of cereal, b complex supplements and half teaspoon of haldi in a cup of milk for seven days will give you enough relief.
