Hi, I am both a registered dietitian and a doctor who will help you in losing your weight as well as solve your other health problems through a dietary therapy. Let me know your food intake details. The best diet is one which is healthy and well balanced with foods from all the food groups, and one which is varied and that you can stick to weight loss on some diets can be dramatic in the short term, but there's more of a chance of rebound weight gain. Set yourself a realistic target and aim to lose between (0.5-1.0kg) a week I being a registered dietitian strongly accommodate the patients own preferences without the patient feeling that they are on a diet not compromising the weight management goals. Don't fall for self dieting or fad diets availiable online they have harmful effects in the long run, if you lose a lot of weight very quickly, you may not lose as much fat as you would with a more modest rate of weight loss. Instead, you might lose water weight or even lean muscle tissue, since it's hard to burn that many fat calories in a short period. I will need to carry out detailed assessment in your case, after assessing your personal challenges to weight loss, I will recommend a strategy to gradually change habits and attitudes that have sabotaged your past efforts. Also the overall objective should not be to drastically reduce weight but doing it gradually and help rebuild body tissues and to maintain ideal body weight. I being a both a registered dietitian (rd) and doctor have been successfully helping patients with their problems through a holistic approach using customized therapeutic diet and medications. . Follow these best tips to get in shape and loose weight.* body become over weight due to deposition of fatty tissues. First you should follow diet plan for weight loss. * in morning, take 2-3 chapattis witha bowl of cooked green vegetables. You can take a glass of without cream milk after 2 hour of breakfast. *in lunch you can take a bowl of soupor salad. *in evening, you can take a cup of teawith glucose biscuits. *in dinner, you can take a bowl of fruits or 2 chapattis with a bowl of vegetables. * work out for atleast 1 hour in morning, you can try skipping for 15 minutes with a walk of 30 minutes and 5-10 minutes running. To reduce the tummy, * lie down on flat surface, raise your legs without bending your knees, do it for 3-5 times daily * lie down on plain surface, put your hands on the back of head by folding your elbows, now move your head towads the knees try to touch your knees with forehead and then move back and lie down. Repeat it for 5-10 times daily for flat tummy. * do surya namaskar yoga everyday, as surya namaskar have 12 forms of yoga. Do it for in morning everyday to get in shape in short period. * do not eat fastfoods and soft drinks, as they have high calories. Follow methods by which you can gain your desired height. 1. Follow these exercises regularly and you get the goal of height gain: * first stand straight bare foot on floor, then raise your arms upwards then raise your heels of foot with breathing in, try to stand on heels for 10-12 seconds and slowlylower down your heels back on the floor and breath outthe air. Repeat this exercise 5-8 times in morning. *sit on the floor, stretch you legs together so that both foot touch each other. Now raise your arms upwards together with back straight, now move your hands towardstoes of feet and touch them. Your forehead touching your knees. Slowly revert back the arms and move back arms in normal position. Repeat this exercise 2-4 times daily.

Take high fiber low fat diet. Drink lot of water everyday. Take small and frequent meals at regular intervals of 2-3 hrs. Do crunches and pushups daily to reduce belly fat.

Why Do Some Remedies Like Green Tea Not Help Weight Loss?

Many a times clients tell me that they tried having a cup or two of green tea daily as it's touted to have fat loss benefits, but not seen any result.Now despite all the claims made by advertisements or testimonials given by people who claim to have dropped oodles of weight, where then did you go wrong?

Well, for one you just tried to pick out a single remedy which you felt was convinient but forgot that there are many other factors that need to be set right too.

I strongly believe that no food should be glorified or demonised based on a single nutrient found in it. No food will work in isolation in weight/fat loss. It's a balanced diet that is important to fat loss. Remedies like green tea don't help weight loss directly. They provide antioxidants and act as a detox which definitely will help better digestion and metabolism. And this will surely act as an adjunct in your efforts to lose weight.
But along with any remedy, you have to eat the right foods at the right time. Exercise at least 4 times a week. And lastly be committed. Remember it's a lifestyle change and not a one time thing. It's a balanced intake that will last you longer. So, have the green tea but accompany it with good diet, exercise and sleep to see beneficial results.

1. Dinner whole grain bread or chapattis, steamed vegetables and any seasonal fruit except banana and apple. 2. Do regular exercise like brisk walking (at least), running, swimming etc. Avoid sedentary and lazy lifestyle. 3. A glass of warm water mixed with the juice of half a lemon. A teaspoonful of honey can be added have it early in the morning.

To Lose Weight. 1. First decide that you are aiming to be fit for life. There is no short term health plan. 2. Believe that you can achieve it step by step. 3. Don't be in a hurry because nature takes time. 4. Slow and steady wins the race. 5. Take 40-60 mins daily for active fitness routines like Cardio etc. 6. Eat a 1600 cal diet daily. You can find such diets on net. 7. Follow 'Mindful method' of eating. 8. Love yourself and respect your body. 9. Change your habits to change your body. 10. Hye. Junk food or empty calories is a pejorative term for food containing high levels of calories from sugar or fat with little protein, vitamins orminerals. Use of the term implies that a particular food has little" nutritional value" and contains excessive fat, sugar, salt, and calories. Junk food can also refer to high protein food containing large amounts of meat prepared with, for example, too much unhealthy saturated fat;[citation needed]many hamburger outlets, fried chicken outlets and the like supply food is considered as junk food. Alcohol does not give you nutrients and gives you as much calories as fat does. Therefore, alcohol is an empty calorie food.

Hi lybrate-user, the weight gain is quite due to your sedentary lifestyle. Try to burn maximum calories throughout the day by indulging in any kind of physical activity you like e. G. Brisk walking, cycling, dancing etc. For at least 30 minutes a day. The most important thing to remember is to be regular and consistent. Experts say'sitting is the new smoking' so please get up from your seat/desk as often as possible e. G. May be to fill up a water bottle, go to your colleague's desk to discuss office issues instead of sending an email, do not use lift/escalators wherever possible, go for 10-15 minutes light walk pre- lunch etc. Eating healthy and small meals every 3-4 hours is equally important to boost the metabolism. Avoid processed foods and stick to healthy homemade meals. You can consult me for a detailed diet plan and exercise regimen. Good luck!

Mix three teaspoons of lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey, and one-half teaspoon of black pepper powder in one cup of water. If you use freshly ground black pepper, then just add one-quarter teaspoon. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach. Do this daily for at least three months.

Dear lybrater all seems fine. But just include salad and fruits. May be replacing part of lunch. Or in addition at night. The key is to have various veg salad. Do not add salt. Sugar or oil. You can add lime to taste. Some 200g every day.

Our daily energy requirements for proper functioning of our body is 1600-2200 k cal of energy if we want to remain fit and healthy. But there is a misconception that weight is reduced by dieting. Hye, thanks for the query. Your weight is a balance of calories. Fad diets may promise you that counting carbs or eating a mountain of fruits will make the fats drop. But when it comes to weight loss, it's sensible eating that counts. Weight loss comes down to burning more calories than you take in. You can do that by reducing extra calories from food and beverages, and increasing calories burned through physical activity. Understand that weight /fat loss involves sensible eating. You have to eat the right foods at the right time. Eat small but frequent meals. Take smaller main meals. Take a glass of lime water 10minutes before meals. Avoid long gaps in between meals. Avoid junk as far as possible. Exercise at least 4 times a week. Lastly be committed.                        Remember it's a lifestyle change and not a one time thing.     All the so called fad, crash, restricted diets will only give you muscle and bone loss. The fats will remain as it is. So, don't forget the bottom line: The key to successful weight loss is a commitment to making indefinite changes in your diet and exercise habits.

Priyaji, One of the main symptoms is weight gain, others are dry skin, hair fall, weakness, tired feeling, slow heart rate, intolerance to cold, swelling of face and lower limbs, difficulty in speech, inability to concentrate, menstrual irregularities and depression. Best is to get a thyroid assay done, which help in finding out if there ia any problem.
