Few things related to headache so that we can plan the treatment accordingly - if pain is associated with blurred or decreased vision than check your eye sight for refractive error - if the pain is associated with cold and fever than we have to rule out sinusitis as the cause and if the pain is pulsatile in nature and with a throbbing pain usually with an aura than we have to rule out migrane as the cause - if the pain is associated with neck problems than we have to rule out cervical spondylosis as the cause - if the pain is associated with either low or high bp or due to hyperacidity than we have to treat the cause after examination.

That sounds healthy right. No need to worry or panic about the health. But you got to know semen can carry STI too. If your both disease free and fit there is no harm. All the best.

My father is operated by pass surgery last month. Which type of food we gave him.

Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, MBBS
General Physician, Delhi
One month after operation he can have a normal diet like you people eat at home-daal ,roti, subjee , chaawal . Avoid extra salt through sauces , pickles , paapads and other foods which require preservatives , do not sprinkle salt on salads , encourage him to eat more of seasonal vegetables and fruits compared to before surgery , few nuts for good fats , a spoon of desighee or pure butter but no oily transfats like biscuits , cakes ,namkeen , street food or fried food at home. Use musturd oil for cooking and soy oil for frying ( yes sometimes he can be treated to home made pakodas/ puris) He should have 5 meals instead of large 3 meals . Do keep him occupied with light activities for body and some brain teasers to be aware of world around him. Whatever was his schedule before surgery , try to make him get back after 3 months of surgery.

Me and my husband planning for baby. But on recent checkup we come to know, I have PCOD (polycystic syndrome ovaries) problem and in semen test of my husband we knows his sperm count is null. Please, suggest me what kind of treatment and medicine we should have to take. Please help me out from this trouble.

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology, DGO

Please note you can repeat your husband's semen analysis from another lab also, if that report also says azoospermia, then you have to go for surgical extraction of sperms (TESA/ PESA. Regarding Pcod it is sometimes genetic also, so do not worry. With Pcos there is anovulation or delayed anovulation so we need to give medicines for ovulation. Have you done your hormonal tests like Serum prolactin, Serum TSH and Serum Fasting Insulin Levels.

  5. Vega Dharana and Vega udeerna should be avoided - Natural reflexes like urination, defecation, sneeze, hunger, thirst, sleep, sex, crying should be avoided. Also, anxiety, anger, stress, jealousy, hatred should be avoided.

Ayurvedic treatment of Erectile Dysfunction:

1. Vajikarana therapy - This herbal therapy leads to strength, potency, increased time of erection and happiness. This therapy can only be administered in a person who exhibits self-control and is between 18-70 years old.

Other than the specific ayurvedic remedies mentioned, these should also be done:

  1. Massaging of the body especially the genital areas with herbal oils acts as an aphrodisiac.
  2. Yoga and meditation helps to overcome stress and exertion.
  3. Herbal supplements should be taken to rejuvenate the reproductive organ.
