I have a stone in my right kidney with the size of 12mm.so is there any effective medicine dor it pls tell me
Tips for removing kidney stones:: 1. Avoid tea, coffee, alcohol, cold drinks, pickles, fish, poultry, meat, spinach, and chocolate. 2. Avoid sour, heavy, and dry food. 3. Increase intake of liquids like water, juice, soup, lime water lemon soda etc. 4. Be sure to drink enough water each day. Usually 1 to 2 liters of water per day is adequate. 5. Drink more if you are perspiring heavily, working outdoors, the weather is hot, etc. 6. Increase the use of barley, horse gram (a type of bean), ginger, and brown rice or parboiled rice. 7. Avoid suppressing urges to urinate and defecate. 9. Boil 10-12 basil leaves in 1 cup of water for 15 minutes. Mix 1 teaspoon of honey in it and take twice a day. Pls send ur USG report becoz medication for stones depends upon size number and location of stones and can be given after USG. -b/w take 2 tsf neeri syrup with water daily

Hello doctor what is fissures and how it will effect and what should do to avoid this fissures, from past 20 days I am suffering from this please help me in this,

MBBS, MS - General Surgery
General Surgeon, Hyderabad
Dear lybrate-user, fissure is a breach or loss of continuity of mucous membrane lining the anal canal, being a delicate layer that lines the anal canal it breaks when a person passes hard bulky stool more than the anal canal can accommodate, as a result of the tear a person can have bleeding also, when there is loss of continuity underlying sensitive nerve endings are directly exposed to the stool you pass, thyen you have pain or bleeding or both. Answering how to avoid; you should be consuming plenty of green leafy vegetables, eat lots of fruits, drink plenty of water, avoid refined foods with low fiber, avoid non vegetarian foods if you cannot avoid add vegetables to the preparation, your condition will heal provided you change your food habits and continue the medications you are taking, I would like to add that for better relief try to sit in a bowel of warm water after adding a cap full of savlon to water and sit in this water bath for 5-10 minutes, you will have relief.

Yes, you are right. Artificial protein supplements can be harmful and are not required, if you eat properly. Natural proteins like paneer /pulses/soyabean/nuts or egg whites /fish /lean chicken (non veg).

What are the symptoms of kidney failure? What are the symptoms of excess cholesterol?

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
What are the symptoms of kidney failure?
What are the symptoms of excess cholesterol?
Signs and symptoms of kidney disease may include: Nausea. Vomiting. Loss of appetite. Fatigue and weakness. Sleep problems. Changes in how much you urinate. Decreased mental sharpness. Muscle twitches and cramps. Elevated cholesterol levels are one of the risk factors for heart disease, stroke, and peripheral artery disease. The mechanism involving cholesterol in all three diseases is the same; plaque buildup within arteries decreases blood flow affecting the function of the cells and organs that these blood vessels supply.
