I am a arthritis (RA) patient for last few years and tried all type of medicines. The pain reduces when I keep taking the medicines and restarts after few days if I stop them. Now I have the knee joint pains on both joints, and also pain in my hand fingers. I also have a pain in my lower back. I have consulted the doctor and he says it is a muscle pain only. But the pain is not reducing for last few months. Please suggest if there are any good medicines in the ayurveda which can help me in the above problems.

Ayurveda can help reduce the pain which will be reduced even after completing the course. You will have to take medicines for at least 6 months. Contact me privately for the same. Till then, use hot fomentation on all joints to relieve the pain. Have lighter, easy to digest meals. Stay away from cold foods & weather.

Sometime gastric and non digestive issues produce pain in body or in joints. So first of all I suggest you to treat gastric and metabolism issue. Try rise onn syrup to reduce gastric and metabolism dysfunction prob. If crackling sound produce in knee then it's a sign of reducing cartilage from your joint. This can produce difficulty in sitting, squatting and in walking. But do not worry there is a solution of this solution via cartilage formation technique to regain cartilage and reduce knee pain. By this technique regain mobility and cartilage. If any question or suggestion you need then feel free to contact.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

Hand Pain This might be due to lack of blood circulation in the hands and we suggest to do contrast bath therapy ie. Immersing in cold/hot water in the interval of 3-5 minutes which will help you reduce the pain.

If you have had a fall or something your joint needs to be checked for as swelling usually indicates some damage.

How can I know whether my baby is having scoliosis or not. She is going to be of 10 month but not sitting other own and also not crawling. Actually I have scoliosis earlier. I am. Little bit worried about it. My pediatrician told we can't diagnose it until baby starts walking. Please help me.

MBBS, DNB (Orthopedics), FELLOWSHIP IN PAEDIATRIC ORTHOPAEDICS
Orthopedist, Gurgaon
Dear lybrate-user. Congenital scoliosis can be diagnosed by an X ray of the spine. Your baby is having delayed milestones but that may not be due to scoliosis. It is important to rule out other causes of delayed milestones for which we need to examine the child and ascertain some other points in history like any difficulty during the delivery or did the baby cry immediately after being delivered.
