Now she missed her period and we tested and found she is pregnant and we are not ready for baby. Can we take mifty kit again without having risk for future pregnancy. Thanking you.

Hi Vinod. It's not advisable to take abortion kits again and again so soon as it would seriously hamper her present and future health. It is advisable to get a check up done and then follow the doctor's advise regarding the treatment options.

Super Fact of the Day: Hugging for 20 seconds can beat stress!

A sure-shot way of beating stress and correcting your blood pressure and heart rate is through hugging. Research has found that hugging a person for about 20 seconds releases oxytocin, popularly known as the love hormone, to counter the effects of the stress hormone cortisol.

Periods can be late by hormonal problems. If you did not had sex in the last month, then there is no reason to worry. Menses will come, you can wait for another 1 month to get spontaneous menses. If this problem is recurrent then you should get sonography and hormonal tests.

I have an unprotected sex with my girlfriend. How can I prevent her from pregnancy?

I have an unprotected sex with my girlfriend. How can I prevent her from pregnancy?
In a 28 days Menstrual Cycle, Egg is released on 14th Day(once in a month). 3 days before and 3 days after 14th day (11th to 17th day) is known as Fertile Period. If you avoid these days, you can avoid pregnancy. Other method is called Coitus Interrupts means pulling out genitalia just before Ejaculation of sperm. There are more chance of pregnancy in this method.

Age of pregnancy is usually calculated in terms of months or weeks. It should be calculated from first day of last menses. With 8 th January as first day of last menses, today u r almost 2 months or 8 weeks. Yes sex can be practice during pregnancy. After 5 months of pregnancy one needs to change the position of male partner. Intercourse can be practiced in male standing position or sideways position. Male partner should not lie on the tummy or growing fetus. Pain in breast is a sign of pregnancy

Frequent use of I pill can have some side effects but you have not taken it too often. If you have any symptoms of cancer, only then we will suggest you tests regarding that, otherwise no need. For your conceiving, 1st of all your cycle is seen. Is it regular? have you done any scan of lower abdomen (abdomino pelvis, any blood tests?

I have itching in my pubic region after periods. What should I do? Please help me.

General Physician (AM)
Alternative Medicine Specialist, Chandigarh
I have itching in my pubic region after periods. What should I do? Please help me.
Lichen sclerosus is extremely itchy skin condition affecting the vulva. The itching is often so bad that it can affect a sufferer's sleep. It is most common around the menopause and in girls just before puberty, though it can occur at any age. Its cause is a mystery. The skin looks thin and pale, and the area around the anus may also be affected. If it is not treated, the lips of the vulva eventually shrink, the vaginal opening narrows and sex becomes painful and can tear the skin. Consult me in private for detailed treatment in biochemic system of medicine without any side effects.

If your last menses is more than 34 days then it's not normal finding of cyst in both ovaries. They may be simple ovarian cysts. U need to consult infertility specialist for further advice.

I'm Jamuna, 25 years old. Im a dentist. I got married to my cousin (paternal ) on August 29, 2014. Its going to be 2 years on coming 29th. I've already diagnosed with Pcos. I have been taking medicines for almost 3 years even before my wedding (metformin, normoz, fertisure ) & went for follicular study once. But there was no use till now . I weigh 92 KGS. I gained weight suddenly becoz of d accident (Head injury due to major trauma) (Intracranial hemorrhage ). I met during my final year. Before that I was normal weighing 70 KGS. Due to the weight gain I got irregular periods. After that I was diagnosed with pcos. I'm very much depressed. I can't concentrate on anything. People who got married after my wedding like my friends, relatives are blessed with children. My husband doesn't know that I have pcos. I feel like dying every moment I go out. I'm very embarrassed in meeting people. If anyone asks about child to me & my husband, we can't able to face them .Is there any good way for us . I'm not interested in IVF or any those technology.

Greetings. There are ups and downs in everyone's life. Don't give up hope. There will be some way out soon. Don't compare with others lives. Try to make your life healthier by having a healthy nutritious diet. Weight reduction will greatly help you in reducing pcos symptoms. Also you can do yoga or light walks if possible. Never give up. Consult a good dietician in town who can guide you and help you.

Last 7 years having pcod I conceived in 2012 with medication. I had suffered miscarriage by its own due to some choromose defect. Since then unable to conceive taken IUI three times. My husband had ED problem but his sperm report was okay last year. Now doctor advice to do YQ MICRODELETION test before going for IVF. Is it necessary to do a test & required at this stage? Pls help.

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Mumbai
Patients with y chromosome microdeletion usually have less sperm count and presence or abscence of it does not change the outcome of pregnancy or pregnancy chances. If sperm count was very low then it was definitely a useful test but in your case it is definitely not needed. I think you should try for 3 more cycles of iui before spending a lot on ivf treatment.
