Hello, as per your details, it is normal to have frequent urination in air condition and rainy season. Because our body tries to maintain the body temprature normal. So if you visit your town, according to that climate, you pass less urine .so do not worry about your health. There is no problem at all. After mastrubation, your body temprature rises causing more urination. Regards.

Its rare to have prostate cancer at such a early age. May be the problems are related to over masturbation it should not be more than 3 times a week .Kindly first modify your habits and if does not help meet a urologist.

When did you get the last colonoscopy done ? You must rule out a recurrence of cancer. Try EZLAX one at bed time in the meantime

Dear, First get urine test done to confirm or rule out infection if it shows more than 5 pus cells then she has infection and she needs antibiotic like ofloxacin 200 mg twice a day 1 hour before meals with water for 15 days and urispas 1 tab three times for 3-5 days. She should increase her fluid intake. If she does not have infection one has to make sure she is not constipated. If so then she is likely to have anal fissure which is usually due to constipation and she needs treatment for that.

Can Acute Tubular Necrosis Cause Kidney Failure?

MBBS, MD - General Medicine, DM - Nephrology, DNB (Nephrology)
Nephrologist, Delhi
Can Acute Tubular Necrosis Cause Kidney Failure?

Causes and symptoms of acute tubular necrosis

Damage or destruction to tube-like structures known as tubules in the kidneys can bring about the development of acute tubular necrosis (ATN) and subsequently, acute kidney failure.

What causes acute tubular necrosis (ATN)?

A lack of supply of oxygen to the cells in the kidney is the most common cause of this condition. The reason as to why oxygen may not reach the cells and tissues of this organ could be restriction or blockage of the pathways. When this happens, the kidneys get damaged. Dehydration is the most important cause of ATN which may be because of loose motions, vomitings, heat stroke etc.

Health conditions such as diabetes, heart attack, and stroke can bring about a decrease in blood flow to the organs resulting in ATN and death of cells. Similarly, the presence of toxic substances in the blood can also lead to tubules damage and change the way the cells function in the tubules.

Other causes that may lead you to develop ATN may be medications, radiology dyes, anesthetics and chemicals that cause your body to react adversely.

In addition to these causes, a number of factors can put you at risk of ATN and there are:

- An injury to the body, more specifically your kidneys can cause clotting of the blood vessels
- An adverse response to blood transfusion
- Instances of septic shock can slow down blood flow to the organs
- A major surgery that can interrupt blood supply to the organs

What are the symptoms of the condition?

The symptoms associated with the condition can vary depending on the severity of the problem.

You may experience:

- Troubles in waking up
- Drowsy feeling even during daytime
- Feelings of lethargy
- Feelings of excessive thirstiness
- Problems with urination
- Fluid retention problems
- Instances of confusion
- Feelings of nausea

Hi doctor, what does it mean when stones are in lower calyx of kidney. If a stone is in lower calyx, does it take time to come out of it?

MBBS, MS - General Surgery, DNB - Urology/Genito - Urinary Surgery
Urologist, Bangalore
Hi doctor, what does it mean when stones are in lower calyx of kidney. If a stone is in lower calyx, does it take tim...
Each kidney has about 9 to 15 calyces. Divided into 3 parts upper middle and lower depending on their location. Lower calyx stone has less chances of passing out spontaneously because it has to climb up to the level of the middle calyx. This is because the exit from the kidney is from the middle calyx. Stone in upper and middle calyx pass out much easily than the lower calyx stone, provided the size is small enough.
