Take milk and milk products, paneer, soya milk, egg,lean meat, whole pulses, bolied potatoes, any sweet item after meal. Do strach exercise alternates days. Take milk shake. Have small and frequent meals.

Weight gain can be a time-consuming process. You have to increase your food intake; follow 5 time small meal pattern. Start taking bananas, mangoes+ 1 glass milk+ protein supplement, 4-5 almonds. Follow healthy food options to increase weight ; avoid junk. Start taking 2tsp alovera and 2 tsp amla jiuice in a cup of water every early morning as it helps ion detoxification. Drink plenty of water, have fruits, fresh fruit juices, raw paneer, eggs, and do do some physical activity. Do not follow medicines for weight gain. You can follow 2 tsp of protein x in a cup of milk. Team Nutri health.

Food consumption depends according to your lifestyle and type of activities you are engaged in. A balanced diet which has all the nutrients like carbohydrate, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals etc at regular intervals of three to four hours is good.

Hye, Thanks for the query. Weight is dependent on metabolism and genetics along with diet and exercise. Gaining weight requires you to eat more calories than you burn. Although fried or sugary foods are calorie dense, eating them exclusively won’t provide enough nutrition to keep you energetic and healthy. Eating several meals and snacks throughout the day and including nutritious, calorie-dense food will help you gain weight healthfully. Weight gain depends primarily on your genetics, age, weight and activity level. To gain weight, you need to eat more calories than you burn. If you’re not used to eating large quantities of food at one time, you may find it difficult to fit all of your calories into three meals per day. Eating nutritious, calorie-dense foods every two to three hours will help you get your calories in without making you overly full and sluggish. If you tend to forget to eat or are always on the go, bring calorie-dense snacks such as eggs, mixed nuts, fruits and dairy. Nutritious, calorie-dense foods provide essential vitamins and minerals, which promote good health and energy. Adding ghee and cream to foods adds additional calories for very little extra physical bulk. Fruit juice, masala milk provides crucial nutrients. Meal-replacement shakes and protein powder sound like good options but also remember that unless your diet is not planned sadly they won't help.

What is osteoporosis?

The components of the word 'osteoporosis' literally mean 'porous bones' - 'osteo' is for bones, and 'porosis' means porous - helpfully describing this condition that results in reduced bone density and increased fragility of the bones.The thinning of the bones in osteoporosis, combined with the formation of weaker bone crystals, puts people at a higher risk of Fall and  Fractures.

It can affect anyone of any gender, but it is particularly prevalent in postmenopausal women due to the sudden decrease in protective oestrogen levels after menopause.

Signs and Symtom

Bone loss that develops slowly, leading to osteoporosis, does not cause any symptoms or outward signs.

As such, a patient may only discover that they have osteoporosis due to an unexpected fracture after a minor fall or a slip or strain - or even a simple cough or sneeze - may result in a fracture.Breaks in the spine can lead to altered posture, with compressed vertebrae creating the stooped appearance often seen in older people

Diagnosis

  • Osteoporosis may be diagnosed directly through the use of a bone scan that measures bone mineral density (BMD). Central or peripheral DXA.
  • Osteoporosis is diagnosed when the T-score is -2.5 or below.
  • Other methods of measuring bone density include x-ray, ultrasound, and CT scan

Treatment

It is important to ensure the cause of low bone denisty has been properly diagnosed as the treatment will vary greatly.the decision about what treatment you need – if any – will also be based on a number of other factors. These include your:

  • age
  • sex
  • risk of fracture
  • previous injury history

Treating osteoporosis involves treating and preventing fractures and using medication to strengthen bones.

How Can a Physical Therapist Help?

Your physical therapist can develop a specific program based on your individual needs to help improve your overall bone health, keep your bones healthy, and help you avoid fracture. Your physical therapist may teach you.

  • Specific exercises : to build bone or decrease the amount of bone loss
  • Proper posture
  • How to improve your balance so as to reduce your risk of falling
  • How to adjust your environment to protect your bone health

 Typically, exercises are performed 2 to 3 times a week as part of an overall fitness program.Your exercise routine should include exercises in each of the following areas:

  • Strengthening exercise
  • postural exercise
  • balance exercise
  • weight-bearing
  • Flexibility exercise

1) Strength training

Strength training is a type of exercise with the goal of improving muscular strength. It involves performing movements against resistance; it is sometimes referred to as resistance training. Exercise bands, weights, machines or even your own body weight can be used for resistance. Strength training may increase spine and hip bone mineral density.

2) Posture training

Posture training involves paying attention to how the parts of our body are aligned with each other. Some kyphosis, or curvature of the upper back, is normal, but fractures or weak back extensor muscles can cause the spine to curve more than usual, resulting in an exaggerated kyphosis or excessively curved upper back.Attention to alignment during activity and at rest, along with exercises targeting the back extensor muscles, can improve the alignment of the spine. Flexion exercises are often CONTRAINDICATED. .

3) Balance training

Balance training exercises are those that challenge your balance.Balance exercises are also important to incorporate to further reduce the risk of falls Examples include:Shifting weight to the limits of support (e.g., moving your weight more to one foot than another).

Physical activities like Tai Chi, that involve balance and coordination may also reduce falls and fractures.

Tai Chi is a very safe and effective low impact form of exercise that improves balance and reduces the risk of falls.

4) Weight bearing Aerobic (water) physical activity

Aerobic exercise  is a rhythmic activity that you do for at least 10 minutes at a time continuously and it increases your heart rate and makes you breathe harder than you usually do during your daily activities.For individuals with osteoporosis, we often recommend weight-bearing aerobic exercise or physical activity like walking or cycling or swiming or guided exercises to be done in swimmimng pool

5 flexibility exercise:

These can help improve the individuals overall physical function and postural control

Start by speaking with a physical therapist or consult me to ensure you are choosing safe , specific  and appropriate physical activities for you.
Remember: if you have osteoporosis, aerobic exercise is not enough. Strength training and balance training are essential to maintain bone and muscle, and prevent falls.

You are having gabrahat may be due to some negative thoughts. If your diet consist of fresh fruits, fresh vegetables and physical activity of one hour of jogging every day then no weakness will be felt by you. It may be psychological due to ghabrahat also. Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Hi, by improving your digestive system, you can increase your weight. 1. You must focus on getting the maximum nutrition out of the food that you are eating and digest that. To improve your digestive powers, you can take chitrakadi vati after meal and ashwagandha churna with water twice a day. 2. You can also have milk and milk products eg butter, ghee, etc along with banana shake.

Dear lybrate user, increasing weight does not mean that you will go fatty. In fact, extra fat serves as a precursor of many diseases. In order to increase your weight as well as stay healthy you have to increase the muscle mass of your body. Normally a muscle undergoes an increase in size when it gets hypertrophied due to weight training. Weight-training leads to the pumping of blood to the muscle resulting in increased protein synthesis in the muscles. This applies to every muscles of human body. So, weight training is a must to increase weight. Whenever a muscle gets hypertrophied it demands protein to expand. Here comes the need of protein supplement. The most effective protein supplement is whey protein. But kindly remember only taking supplement is not enough. You need to take those supplements according to a fixed schedule. For quicker & better results take 40 grams of whey just after waking from sleep at morning. Take another 20 grams of whey just 30 minutes before workout. Again take 40 grams of whey just after you have finished your workout. Kindly remember gaining weight is a time -taking process. So do not expect any result within fortnight.

For Leg Pain, please follow the below advise : Keep your leg raised while sitting or lying Quadriceps strengthening exercises- Quad Clenches: Lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, Hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short Arcs: Lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day.

Hello lybrate user do knee joint smooth and pain free exercises. Either uric acid level is high exercises prevent stiffness. Avoid raw tomatoes, palak, cheese, blackgram less quantities of cereals in meal. Plenty of water intake.

Even if you do not have large breasts, don't be disheartened. Respect yourself.Diet plays an important role in enhancing your breasts.Take milk, soy milk, soy beans, papaya, flax seeds, You should also do yoga, push ups, bench press.You can also massage your breasts with olive / linseed oil.Massaging the breasts regularly would increase production of breast enlarging hormone that would be instrumental in increasing the breast size. Do home chores that require plenty of arm movements.

1.. Go for fasting once a week. You can go for absolute fasting or rely on a liquid diet to digest ama (toxin). Fasting should be followed by hot fomentation or by taking a bath with lukewarm water or steam bath. 2.. After fasting and fomentation, mix powdered long pepper, black pepper and dried ginger in equal quantities and take 1 teaspoon of this powdered mix with lukewarm water twice a day. This will help you restore your digestive fire. 3.. Take one tablespoon of castor oil before going to bed, once or twice a week. It helps in cleansing ama (toxin) build up and balancing vata. 4.. Mix equal quantities of powdered fenugreek seeds, turmeric and ginger powder. Take one teaspoon daily in the morning and evening. 5.. For dry fomentation of the affected joints, take a cloth and fold it into four, fill it with hot and sand make a potli (bag) out of it. Use this bundle for the fomentation of different joints. This is very helpful in reducing pain and swelling. 6.Warm mustard oil or sesame oil (1 teaspoon) with 3-4 cloves of crushed garlic and 1 tsp of ajwain (carom) seeds until it roasts to a reddish brown colour. Ensure that it does not get burned. Massage this oil on your affected areas. After that do hot fomentation with salt potli (bag). 7. Take 2 tab yograj guggul twice daily with luke warm water chew them well before swallowing. 8.Take 2 tab medohar vati twice daily 30 min after meals.

Dear you can easily gain weight and get a healthy muscular body by following these best things - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly. If you have any disease of digestive system you should treat disease first. For proper digestion - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. Or take 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper (kali mirch), 1/ 2 tea spoon of jeera (cumin), 2-3 slice of ginger. Boil it in one glass of water for 2-3 minutes. Drink 5-10 teaspoons (15-20 ml) in morning and evening for strong digestive system. Or you can take amla powder 1 teaspoon with water for strong digestion. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calorie food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. I am sending the diet chart. Follow it in your daily life to fastly gain weight * in morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of protein powder with breakfast. * in lunch time, take 1 bowl of curd or 100 gm of cheese, a bowl of vegetable, with chapattis. * in evening, take 1 glass of milk (300 ml) with 2 bananas. * in night, take a bowl of careals (daal, a bowl of salad with chapattis. 3. In morning, get up early and take awalk for 10-15 minutes and exercise light weight exercises for at least 30 minutes at home or gym. 4. For proper weight, proper sleep is very important. So you should sleep for 6-8 hours daily. 5. Avoid soft drinks, western fast food (burgers, french fries, pizza etc. They disturb your digestion. 6. You can try protein powders like endura mass, milk powder, soya protein. And creatinine for weight gain by taking 1 tea spoon added in milk once a day.
