Stop bottle feeding if doing, apply zinc oxide cream frequently in peri anal area if redness is seen in this area. keep this area dry by changing soiled nappies frequently. Exclusive breast feeding for first 6 months of life is recommended before starting weaning foods.

Hello Mr. lybrate-user, it would have seen better if I had some pics of the spors you are talking about. Its very difficult to comment without seeing the child. Rashes and spots in the first few weeks of life is common, but at 3 months you atleast need to see a doctor for examination of the child. It can still be a benign rash which subsides over a period of time. But as I told you its difficult to comment without having a look, as there are many forms of rashes/spots. Let someone have a look. Take care.

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details and understand the concern. Unfortunately T1 DM or even T2 DM both are not curable condition. In T1 the girl has to be given Insulin injections to control blood glucose as well as for her survival. So it is essential for you to get in touch with a diabetologist who is handling T1 diabetes patient on regular basis. It is going to be quite tough to manage for a first few months. In Hyderabad I sure there are quite a few endocrinologists or diabetologist exclusively dealing with T1 diabetes kids. Please get in touch with one of those and put the girl under his/her care. Thanks.

If your child is getting pneumonia very regularly he may be having reduced immunity. He may be having a heart problem, which predisposes to recurrent pneumonia. Please get suitable blood test, x ray and echo test done with consultation with your local pediatrician.

Hi thanks for writing to Lybrate. Speech problems of articulation are common in kids. If your child has eye to eye contact, and is playful with other kids, do not panic. Also when you notice that he is pronouncing a word wrong, help baby say it properly. But do not shout at child.
