It have failure rate of 5% and rarely it can cause heavy bleeding. Fever and shivering is very common for a day after misoprostol insertion. If there is spotting only after 24 hrs of misoprostol insertion then it needs to be further evaluated with usg if not done before taking the kit.

No Sex Hormones In Females - Things That Can Lead To It!

No Sex Hormones In Females - Things That Can Lead To It!

Hypogonadism in females occurs when your sex glands produce little or no sex hormones. The sex glands, also called gonads that are responsible for ovary formation in females, breast enlargement and in menstrual cycle.

What Are the Types of Female Hypogonadism?
There two types of hypogonadism are primary and central hypogonadism.

Primary Hypogonadism: Primary hypogonadism means that you don't have enough sex hormones in your body due to a problem in your gonads. Your gonads are still receiving the message to produce hormones from your brain, but they aren't able to produce them.

Central Hypogonadism or Secondary Hypogonadism: In central hypogonadism, the problem lies in your brain. The hypothalamus and pituitary gland in your brain, which control your gonads, aren't working properly.

Causes of Primary Hypogonadism:

  1. Autoimmune disorders, such as Addison's disease and hypoparathyroidism
  2. Genetic disorders, such as Turner syndrome and Klinefelter syndrome
  3. Severe infections
  4. Liver and kidney diseases
  5. Hemochromatosis, which happens when your body absorbs too much iron
  6. Radiation exposure
  7. Surgery of your sex organs

Causes of Central or Secondary Hypogonadism include:

  1. Genetic disorders, such as Kallmann syndrome (abnormal hypothalamic development)
  2. Infections, including HIV and AIDS
  3. Pituitary disorders
  4. Inflammatory diseases including sarcoidosis, tuberculosis, and histiocytosis
  5. Obesity
  6. Rapid weight loss
  7. Nutritional deficiencies
  8. Use of steroids or opiates (especially long-term usage)
  9. Brain surgery
  10. Radiation exposure
  11. Injury to your pituitary gland or hypothalamus
  12. A tumor in or near your pituitary gland

Symptoms that May Affect Females Include:

  1. Lack of menstruation
  2. Slow or absent breast growth
  3. Hot flashes
  4. Loss of body hair
  5. Low or absent sex drive
  6. Milky discharge from your breasts

Treatment for Hypogonadism in Women: Your treatment will involve increasing the amount of female sex hormones in your body. Your first line of treatment will probably be estrogen therapy if you've had a hysterectomy. Either a patch or pill can administer the supplemental estrogen hormone. Estrogen must be balanced with progesterone, because taking estrogen alone leads to a dangerous build up of the lining of the uterus (endometrial hyperplasia) that can lead to cancer of the uterus. Low-dose testosterone may be added for women with hypogonadism who have a low sex drive.

Dr. I am trying to conceive, all thyroid, ultrasound sound, blood sugar, immunity and haemoglobin levels are normal, however AMH level is high report is 70.4, I need to know the causes of it and is it concerning and will it get cured.

Dr. I am trying to conceive, all thyroid, ultrasound sound, blood sugar, immunity and haemoglobin levels are normal, ...
Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) is a protein hormone produced by granulosa cells (cells lining the egg sacs or follicles) within the ovary. AMH can be measured in the blood at any time in the menstrual cycle as it is stable throughout the cycle. It is a marker for ovarian (egg) reserve. AMH levels vary and are dependent on age and the presence of certain conditions (i.e. PCOS – I know of clients who have had an AMH level over 90 pmol/L). It is important to note that two different units of measurement are used so when you receive your AMH results, so be sure to get the unit it was measured in or else you may be very confused. Here is a chart* outlining the two different measurements as well as the ranges. Ovarian Fertility Potential pmol/L ng/mL Optimal Fertility 28.6 – 48.5 4.0 – 6.8 Satisfactory Fertility 15.7 – 28.6 2.2 – 4.0 Low Fertility 2.2 – 15.7 0.3 – 2.2 Very Low / undetectable 0.0 – 2.2 0.0 – 0.3 High Level > 48.5 > 6.8

Dear user. FERTILE PHASE is the phase of a female's menstrual cycle when an egg (ovule) is released from the ovaries. In humans, ovulation occurs about midway through the menstrual cycle, after the follicular phase. The few days surrounding ovulation (from approximately days 10 to 18 of a 28 day cycle), constitute the most fertile phase. So if you have ejaculatory sexual inter course from day 10 from the first day of period and to day 20, the chances of pregnancy are much more. There are many determinants of pregnancy. You should be sexually matured. Your partner should be sexually matured. The period of your partner should be in the fertile stage. Her egg and your sperm cells should healthy enough. Then her uterus should be capable to get conceived. If all these were satisfied, the pregnancy could be a result. Take care.

Dear patient, definitely not whatever you are doing like skipping lunch and dinner is not good for your health. Better have a regular diet and do some lifestyle management. And as your concern towards mensus yes sometimes it may happen like the periods may come bit delayed because of change in lifestyle. Correct your daily routine and mensus will resume automatically and will occur naturally and regularly. Take care.

Health Benefits Of Olive Oil!

Health Benefits Of Olive Oil!

7 reasons why olive oil is so good for you!

Olive oil also known as ‘jaitoon ka tel’ is an essential fruit oil with its origins being mainly in the mediterranean regions. It is utilized for cooking purposes, developing cosmetic products and soaps, for medicinal purposes and as pharmaceutical supplements. The various types of olive oil are virgin olive oil, extra virgin olive oil and pure olive oil. Apart from being a cooking medium, olive oil also has several unique health benefits. Here are some of them:

1. Helps prevent alzheimer’s

Studies have shown that oleocanthal, a polyphenol found in extra virgin olive oil, reduces cognitive decline that comes with ageing including alzheimer’s disease. Polyphenols – powerful antioxidants found in extra virgin olive oil – also help to combat the oxidative stress associated with ageing.

2. Regulates blood sugar levels

Eating extra virgin olive oil as part of a balanced diet may help prevent or delay the onset of diabetes. Extra virgin olive oil helps regulate and balance our insulin levels so that there are no sugar spikes.

3. Moisturizes the skin

Unlike commercial moisturizers that can clog pores and aggravate a current skin condition, olive oil penetrates deeply into the skin while providing a cleansing effect. Try using olive oil at night as a substitute for your regular moisturizer. Apply the oil to your face and neck. Gently pat the skin with a tissue to wipe away any excess oil.

4. Fights ageing

Olive oil contains 3 major antioxidants – vitamin e, polyphenols and phytosterols. Antioxidants when applied topically help protect the skin from premature skin ageing. Vitamin e partly accounts for the anti-ageing benefits of olive oil because it helps restore skin smoothness and protects against ultraviolet light. Hydroxytyrosol, a rather raw compound found in olive oil also prevents free radical damage to the skin.

5. Keeps blood pressure in check

Just as monosaturated fats (mufa’s) can look after the health of your heart, monosaturated fats found in olive oil also contain high amounts of an essential fatty acid (efa) called omega3. Omega3 and mufa keep your heart healthy by helping to lower blood pressure. It is called efa because the body cannot make it by itself and therefore we must get it from food sources.

6. Prevents osteoporosis

There is strong evidence that olive oil helps improve the amount of calcium in the blood which can have a positive effect on bone density, so it may prevent osteoporosis from developing. Olive oil appears to be particularly beneficial when combined with omega3 fatty acids.

7. Helps prevent strokes

Stroke is caused by a disturbance of blood flow to the brain, either due to a blood clot or bleeding. In developed nations, stroke is the second most common cause of death, right after heart disease. After much research olive oil was found to be the only source of mono-saturated fat associated with a reduced risk of stroke and heart disease.

Add olive oil to your diet to reap the many health benefits. Extra virgin olive – the oil from the first pressing of the olive fruit is green and has a full bodied flavour, is best consumed raw, as dressing for salads and dishes, in dips raw, as heating the oil can reduce its benefits. For cooking use pure olive oil which is milder in taste and yellow in colour.

My husband gets excited within seconds while having sex. Whereas I take a little bit of time. Do I have any problem? I really take time to get in mood and become wet.

You take a little bit of time to get excited but your husband gets excited very quickly. Don't worry, you are normal. Females are passive partner in sex. They need to be excited.
