First of all check your posture when you are lifting any material like heavy bucket . And try to lift the heavy bucket without bending your back . you may lift the bucket after bending your knees only. This will definitely help you. * Gentle massage with lukewarm mustard oil of your waist area will also give you relief. * Surya Namaskar is only exercise which you need to do. * In diet vegetable protein of cereal , B complex supplements and half teaspoon of haldi in a cup of milk for seven days will give you enough relief.

Best Yoga Poses To Eliminate Lower Back Pain
Yoga for lower back pain

Most of us are in professions where we are needed to be seated at one place, in the same position for long hours. Not only are we getting lesser exercise that the previous generations would, we are also not moving about much for work. This is causing many health issues, one of them being pain in the lower back. While this can happen for a few other reasons too, there are few exercises in yoga by doing which one can experience immense relief. A brief of few such yoga poses are:

1. Upward-facing dog pose - to do this, you need to lie flat on the floor, on your tummy. Put your arms flat on the ground, right next to your ribs on either sides of your body and make sure your legs are straight & joined together. Now, press your feet together and your palms on to the ground, and push your body up from the ground, looking upwards. Make sure your torso doesn't leave the ground. Stay like this for about 10 breaths and come back to main position. Repeat.

2. Child's pose: to do this you need to get on all fours first and sit back on your legs till your butt comes right above your heels. They should not be touching. Raise your hands up, and bring them down on the ground in front of you. Along with your hands, bring your body forward too, until your forehead touches the ground. Hold for about ten breaths and release. Repeat.

3. Triangle pose: stand straight with your feet shoulder-width apart. Raise your hands on each side of your body, to shoulder level. Bend one side of your body, keeping legs straight and bending sideways from the waist, to touch the feet on that side. Hold for ten seconds and come back to first position. Repeat on other side too.

4. Upward-forward bend: stand straight, keeping your feet shoulder-width apart. Bend down from your waist and bring your head as close to the ground as possible. Stretch till the time you are comfortable. Hold for about ten seconds and get back to previous position. Repeat.

The underlying cause should be treated. It could be spondylosis, intervertebral gap reduction causing compression on nerves. In such cases physiotherapy is the solution. Traction may be required if assessed after X-ray reports. Yoga postures are also helpful. For Ayurveda safe treatment, pl send X-ray reports. Till then pl take Nycanthes leaves juice or decoction (Harsingar leaves)

Hello There, This issues is with my mother, she had one ear operation 23 year back by Dr. Raghav Saran due to water coming out and pain in Ear. All went well but after 10 years she start getting water and smells again, sometime its neck pain. We consulted 3-4 doctors and then went to Christian Medical College & Hospital Vellore and after test doctor said that she need to go for surgery once again because previous surgery got some issue thats why she is getting pain and water. We met on good doctor in Ranchi ENT specialist and he prescribed lot of antibiotic and tablet to make the wet ear dry for 3 months, it happens and then start again. We got appointment in AIIMS and they said no need for surgery go home, then to reconfirm we went to Dr. also said the same that no need for surgery go home. If want then do on your own choice. (May be they saw dry Ear that time due to Antibiotic tablet dosage) Now she is getting same situation that water comes out with smell and ear get wet, sometime its neck pain and sometime Ear pain. Can anyone please suggest from Doctors/ENT community, what could be possibility and what steps I should take. Hello Mr. lybrate-user i'm very disappointed after reading the story! Anyway, it seems to be a case of chronic mastoiditis as she is suffering from neckache associated with otorrhoea (discharge from ear). I advice you to try homeopathy for few weeks before going to surgery again. Several such cases are cured by homeopathic medicaments. If you feel interest then you can chat privately. I will be available to help you. Regards!

After a grueling workout, there's a good chance you're going to be feeling it (we're talking sore thighs, tight calves). Relieve post-fitness aches by submerging your lower body in a cold bath (50 to 55 degrees fahrenheit; you may have to throw some ice cubes in to get it cold enough) for 10 to 15 minutes" many top athletes use this trick to help reduce soreness after training sessions" says andrew kastor. And advice we love" an athlete training for an important race should consider getting one to two massages per month to help aid in training recovery"

I am having pain in my neck sometimes when I wake up in the morning with little swelling. so, what should I do?

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. If you have localized neck pain with no other symptoms like radiating upper limb pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your neck while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. We will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of neck and few blood tests for evaluation. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. You can also discuss your case and treatment plans with me in a greater detail in a private consultation.
