Can you give me the name of some height increasing supplement which can increase my height quickly.

Can you give me the name of some height increasing supplement which can increase my height quickly.
There's no such thing as height increasing supplements. None of them help. They're just supplements. Which means they'll just add an extra bit of calcium and other minerals to your regular intake thus helping your body in developing your bones. Instead, consume a lot of green vegetables, meats, oats, milk, eggs, nuts (groundnuts, peanuts, walnuts, almonds), fruits, etc. Also, workout and stretch a lot. Sprinting, box jumps, pullups, skipping, chin ups, squats, push-ups, etc. Are some of the exercises that will help you. Stay healthy, stay strong.

I am suffering with a severe back ache for the past two months. Kindly help me with a diagnosis.

I am suffering with a severe back ache for the past two months. Kindly help me with a diagnosis.
Hi lybrate-user, reason for back pain can be different but mainly it is differentiated into discogenic (due to disc herniation of different types such as bulge, protrusion, extrusion & sequestration) & non discogenic (arising from other structures of lumbar spine such as facet joints, paraspinal/quadratus/ piriformis muscles spasm, vertebral body itself in case of compression fracture, sacroiliac joints etc). It is important to show to interventional pain specialist or orthopedician dealing with spine (not every orthopedician goes into spine details) for proper diagnosis & according to diagnosis treatment will vary from conservative management with physiotherapy to epidural nerve block to minimally invasive spine interventions such as disc nucleoplasty or even surgery in some cases, such as endoscopic discectomy or open spine surgery to cure it permanently. My advise will be to get proper diagnosis of backache & treatement further to cure it. Hope it helps.

I am addicted to marijuana from last 3 years I am just 17 years old. Now I want to quit what will I do?

DNB (Psychiatry), DPM, MBBS
Psychiatrist, Mumbai
Marijuana is cannabis which has a high abuse potential. It is a" gateway drug" which means use of marijuana can be a step to use of other types of drugs as well. It stimulates the reward area of brain and gives feeling of pleasure and the person always tries to seek the same feeling. The problem is one develops tolerance to marijuana and tries to increase the dose progressively. Try to cultivate positive addiction habits like exercise, developing a constructive hobby. For completely giving up the drug please seek guidance of deaddiction specialist/psychiatrist.

How to remove darks of face please tell the best ways

BHMS
Homeopath,
How to remove darks of face please tell the best ways
Hello, Start taking nutritious, healthy food and daily yoga or some kind of exercises, it will be automatically reflected on your face. Yes, the colour which is inherited from your parents/ ancestors, cannot be changed, but you can try to get glow on your face!! Daily Regime: Apart from these, you do follow CTMP, i.e., cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally sunscreen with SPF-30 – a thick layer of Bakson's Suncare cream may be, 20-30 minutes before going out daily and repeat it's application after every 3-4hrs.) after washing your face daily; use the products as per your skin type. This will change the skin texture and skin tone. In case you do have tanning, apply honey with a dash of lime on your face. Eat right and healthy that too on time, relieve your stress/ tensions, sleep well, stop smoking, as this restricts blood flow to your face and leaves you with a greyish complexion. lead a healthy lifestyle! Apart from this, avoid anger, anxiety, fear which increases stress hormone in the body and subsequently makes your complexion darker! (Hormonal imbalances also plays a major role). If the dull and dark skin tone is due to any underlying ailment or diseases, need to look into the matter. Diet: -Increase your Vitamin C intake (lemon,orange,gooseberry,etc.Fruits/juices, strawberries, sweet peppers, tomatoes, cantaloupe, and green peas). - Eat more Vitamin A (nonfat milk, oysters, and egg yolks, carrots, watermelon, papaya, tomatoes, or other dark colored produce) . If you feel your skin is weak or not tight enough, that usually suggests a lack of Vitamin A. Medicine: You can also use homoeopathic cream - Medicynth's Whitch Hazel daily at night.

I am getting energy for last ten years or more. So much of treatment was done but nothing happened. Mostly doctors give me symkast-lc As soon as medicine was over energy comes again. It happens to me with coldness.

PGDD, RD, Bachelor of Home Science
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Mumbai
Hye, Thanks for the query. Most often we lack energy because we do not eat the right foods at the right time when needed by the body. We try to look for shortcuts like medicines which just make us feel energised for the time being and once the medication is discontinued you are back to the low stamina phase. It is important to know that just eating two heavy meals a day will not fulfill your nutrient needs. Most often we skip meals especially when at work or in college. We start our day on empty stomach but our work or stress or activity is never reduced. This causes weakness and lack of energy levels. Food is our source of energy and if you don't eat well as per your needs you are going to get deficient in many nutrients. So, start by eating the right foods at the right time. Eat meals at frequent intervals. Eat a mid meal between each main meal. Avoid junk foods. Include dairy, eggs, nuts, fruits in your meals. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Sleep well.    Exercise at least thrice a week.

A Guide To Various Types Of Pain Management

M.Ch,orthopaedic surgery, MS, orthopaedic surgery, MBBS
Orthopedist, Ghaziabad
A Guide To Various Types Of Pain Management

The human body experiences various types of aches and pains from time to time depending on injuries and other kinds of joint, muscle and nerve pain and various types of these pains include somatic pain, visceral pain, and neuropathic pain.

While somatic pain refers to the pain that comes from injuries caused to muscles, connective tissues and joints; visceral pain happens due to inflammation and excessive stretching of organs. Finally, neuropathic pain is a more long lasting kind, which can be caused by conditions like cancer, HIV or Shingles. The pain can be acute or chronic. Read on to find out more about pain management.

  • Somatic Pain: This type of bone pain is usually localised and can increase with movement, becoming sharper with increased motion. Somatic pain can usually be treated with the help of analgesics, which treats the area suffering from pain, especially for pain that takes place due to surgical incisions and other dull aches or sharp pains that are localised. This kind of pain can also be treated with physiotherapy, acupressure and other exercises based on the area of pain.
  • Visceral Pain: While this kind of pain can be treated with the help of medication, it also usually improves and fades with time. The medication for this kind of pain usually alters the neurotransmitters of the brain that convey pain signals and trigger pain in the body. This medication also helps in bringing down the inflammation for pain improvement.
  • Neuropathic Pain: This kind of pain is usually accompanied by irregular limb movements and discomfort as well as motions like twitching. It is a more permanent kind of pain that lasts long and causes greater discomfort than the above two kinds of pain. Neuropathic pain can be treated with the help of anticonvulsants, which usually help in preventing the nerve pain and irregular movements that can trigger from this kind of pain. It also impacts the serotonin level and other chemicals in the brain for better nerve pain management and act as an anti-depressant as well.

The various kinds of pain discussed above can be treated in different ways, both  in medicated and non-medicated ways, however, the method will depend upon whether the pain is acute or chronic.

Hi I am Dr Akshay from Fortis Hospital, New Delhi. In my opinion there is no permanent cure for Ankylosing Spondylitis as it is a condition with genetic predisposition. But you can still do a lot of things from your side to make your life more comfortable. The best solution can be provided by rheumatologists. Do not hesitate to contact me in case of further queries. I have many pimples in my face. Also I have some kind of oily face. please recommend some simple treatment just like.

BAMS
Ayurveda, Ambala
I have many pimples in my face. Also I have some kind of oily face. please recommend some simple treatment just like.
These are the best methods to cure pimples fast -: • To control the sebum (oily) secretion you should maintain your hormonal level. Because imbalance in hormone level causes excessive sebum (oil) production and causes pimples. So do not take stress and do exercise daily such as running, jogging and long breathing exercises. • Use oil free face wash and drink 7 -8 glass of water daily. • Do not touch your pimple because your finger transfer bacteria to it and make it worse. If you touch it then clean your face with water. Touch your face very less. • you can use a face pack of fuller's earth (multani mitti) with rose water one time in a day for seven days. It removes toxins from skin and remove pimples.,• • Give Steam your face to open the pores, which in turn clear the skin. Steam your face for 3-5 minutes daily. • You can take 2 teaspoon of SAAFI SYRUP daily for 1 month for clear face. • Take 20 gm powder of Black pepper and 50 gm of Amla powder. Mix it and take 1/2 tea spoon of this mixed powder daily with luke warm water for 15 days for pimple free skin. • Take Vitamin-A rich diet & you can take Vitamin-A capsule of 25, 000 I. U. Only under the supervision of a doctor. • use a mild moisturiser for your skin only in winters..
