Respected Sir, I am suffering from cough since 2 to 3 years. I was under treatment of a local physician but when there is no more relief I went to CMC vellore and was under treatment of Dr. Shakti Kumar Bal, DNB, Asst.prof - Dept. While staying at Vellore I had no problem, but at the returning when I was At Bankura, Westbengal Railway Station then again the cough started, so after return at my home I visited a local physician He gave me some antibiotics and a Cough Syrup Trump-D. But it not work. Whenever I come in contact with cold air the cough started. This might help- you can try 1) steam inhalation 2-3 times a day. 2) drink lots of water (around 2-3 litres/day) & keep yourself hydrated. 3) anti-allergic, antibiotics medications only after doctor's advice. 4) also take proper 8 hr sleep a day. Avoid late night studying/work. Feel free to get in touch for any further consultation.

Urinary frequency is one of the symptoms of deranged sugars in the body. Stress might be another cause of the symptoms what you are presenting with. Viz. Hair loss and headaches. Kindly have a check of your blood sugars and see a good diabetolgist.

What medications are best for the treatment of asthma? what are their side effects?

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine & Surgery (BAMS)
Ayurveda, Faridabad
No doubt ayurveda provides you the bestest treatment for asthma. If ayurvedic herbs are used properly in a proper dose, there is no negative effect on the body. A good diet is an important part of your overall asthma treatment plan. Just like regular exercise, a healthy diet is good for everyone. That goes for people with asthma too. According to ayurveda, the asthma of recent origin can be treated effectively but if it becomes chronic, it can only be managed. It is not the drug alone that can give relief from asthma but regulation of diet and the change of conceptual thinking can also play a great role. Along with proper ayurvedic medication and control over eating and living, asthmatics can get better and quick results. During an acute attack, a hot chest and shoulder pack, repeatedly given every half an hour, will have a sedative effect upon the nerves and a relaxing influence generally, giving the quickest and most satisfactory relief. Hot milk or hot water when sipped little by little, provides immediate relief from the attack. The inhalation of steam-laden air may be provided by using an ordinary teakettle, attaching a funnel to the spout, and inhaling from the upper wide end of the cone. Mustard oil (sarason) is a good remedy. Take a spoonful with jaggery, twice a day. Only the use of pippalee (piper longum) powder along with pure honey, makes an attack of asthma subside. There are thousand s of remedy. Go for a proper ayurveda treatment as early as possible.

MBBS

Few tips for your brother- avoid any triggering factor, take folic acid regularly, eat a healthy diet, always be stress free, exercise regularly and to pinpoint the cause of the disease we have to examine him for further guidance.

My friend had plural effusion in right lung after removing water from lung, Doctor says its little yellowish water and declare its TB and stars DOT course of six months and now he completes his DOT course and now x ray is normal but when he takes long breathe he feels little pain in right lung at the point where water removed now please tell me what to do.

MBBS
General Physician,
This pain in pleural region of right lung is due to friction dry pleural membrane which normally happens after drainage of drainage of pleural fluid by needle. It takes little longer time for complete healing. So one should avoid movement of pleura as far as possible for sometimes. Have regular checking for recuurance.

I have sneezing problem due to this I get breathing problem. I am suffering from last five years. I consulted with many doctors in delhi. Many test has been done but shows no result please doctor tells it' s an allergy. I take telekast please from many days. Can you tell me a permanent solution be very thankful.

MD - Pulmonary, DTCD
Pulmonologist, Faridabad
Most likely allergic rhinitis with asthma. If telekast is helpful, then continue telekast f 1tab/day for long time say 3 month
